Senior Iran cleric rejects deadline for nuclear response

Senior cleric Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on Friday rejected a deadline for Iran to respond to an offer by world powers aimed at resolving the continuing standoff over Tehran’s nuclear programme.

“Now that negotiations are supposed to be held, why are you setting deadlines and giving ultimatums?” Rafsanjani asked in a Friday prayers sermon carried live on state radio.

“Iran is ready to go there and talk — say whatever you have to say there,” said the pragmatic former president who currently heads two of Iran’s top clerical and arbitration bodies in Iran.

“Do not try to find fault. Be patient and let wise people sit down and talk to resolve this issue in the negotiations which have started,” Rafsanjani added, addressing world powers.

Iran is under a two-week deadline to give a final answer to world powers seeking a breakthrough in the nuclear crisis, after Saturday talks in Geneva with EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana ended in stalemate.

   DEEP RED I think you would find that they do care about their civilian population more than the mainstream media leads us to believe.
   For one thing we (the public) has no idea what is in that incentive package. Will it be like all the other packages that have been offered in the past which cost Iran many $US millions and still gave them nothing.
   Since about the end of World War Two Iran has been demonized and basically ripped off by the USA and the EU3 (Britain France and Germany).
   Why should Iran stop the legal enrichment of uranium? Iran has reserves of Uranium and as a signatory nation of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and has been since the start.
   Uranium ore found in its natural state cannot be used in a nuclear reactor. It has to the enriched. With further enrichment which is much more complicated and requires much more sophisticated equipment. To try and use the same centrifuges to make weapons grade as is used for fuel grade uranium would be catastrophic as the centrifuge has to spin at much higher speeds.
   What the current proposals appear to me require is for Iran to forget it has uranium and import enriched fuel from the UE3
   To answer the question as to why would Iran want a reactor in the first place. They have vast oil reserves but very little refining capacity thus it needs to import most of its energy for power generation.
   The recent history of the region is riddled with deceit and duplicity. I will post a report written by Rudo de Ruijter an Independent researcher, and was Updated March 2, 2007. This report is verifiable at the IAEA website.

   Iran would be insane NOT to develop nuclear weapons with a radical nation of war mongers like Israel next door that HAS over 300 nuclear warheads, perhaps many more. Presure should be put on Israel to eliminate it’s nuclear program all together especially given that the Israelis stole the plans for nuclear weapons from the United States via espionage. Remember the Rosenbergs? They were Rothschild communists and were Jews. Communism is a Jewish creation. The Rothschilds are the founders of world communism as well as the creators of the state of Israel via the Balfour declaration of 1917. They built the supreme court in Israel and invented central banking. They also owned vast tracts of land in Palistine prior to the creation of the Jewish state. Don’t forget Rothschild actually means “RED SHIELD”. This is why we have RED communism and The RED COATS during the revolution as the Rothschilds are also British Royalty. They hedge every government and every war and have subverted our own government to the point of ruin. Iran has the right to defend itself.
