A car bomb attack Friday in South Ossetia killed seven Russian soldiers and wounded seven others, Interfax news agency quoted the Russian force commander in the breakaway Georgian province as saying.
“Seven servicemen were killed, seven others were wounded,” Major-General Marat Kulakhmetov told the news agency in Tskhinvali, the main city in South Ossetia where Russian forces are headquartered and where the attack occurred.
