Here is an excellent response to socialist luminary Naomi Klein’s latest article in which she again blames “free market ideology” as being responsible for the economic crisis, when in fact any cursorary study reveals that the anti-free market policies of the Federal Reserve, along with corporate fascism, not free-market capitalism, are the culprit.
RE: Naomi Klein: Public Revolt Builds Against Rip-off Rescue Plans for the Economy
“The pattern is clear: governments that respond to a crisis created by free-market ideology with an acceleration of that same discredited agenda will not survive to tell the tale. As Italy’s students have taken to shouting in the streets: “We won’t pay for your crisis!”
Klein’s “Pattern” = NONSENSE –> “Free-Markets” DO NOT EXIST under FASCISM
In fact the only solution Naomi Klein and her ilk offer is “nationalizing” money power under a corrupted Washington circus already run by Organized Corporate Crime (FASCISM) anyway. In other words more concentration of power in fewer hands. Exactly the sordid hands that now bankroll all play-actors at the Washington-MSM madhouse that rigged the financial crash to begin with.
Bad old “capitalism” coined by Karl Marx by definition requires real free markets (there are none) and real democracy (there is none). “Free-Market””Capitalism” as Klein’s boogeyman DOES NOT EXIST. It did not exist when Marx invented the word in the 1870s where monopoly robber barons ruled the earth.
It is FASCISM that clearly does exist to run virtually everything on the globe. Either Klein promotes decoy garbage by design or she offers serial incompetence. Either way the decoy artists of the world have zero answers for not getting the questions. Notice: the Naomi Kleins of the world never touch on the private Ponzi farce “Federal Reserve” Corp that was never federal with less than nothing for reserves. This criminal Fascist charade and others like it are the epicenter of every manmade crisis for hundreds of years.
When those “too small too save” have no place at the table, the “too big to fail” set are FASCISTS for FASCISM no matter what the label is, how packaged, “nationalized” or “de-regulated”. Beware those that point the finger at false boogymen to offer transparently phony solutions.
Without focusing on core issues humanity will be herded down an old tortured path to commit the same endless cycle of blood money horror for the same string-pullers. It is the 9/11 path of more extortion for extortionists that have cooked the scene from (as FDR said) “the days of Andrew Jackson”. We all know where that path leads.
By any name, it is the path of criminal insanity.
“banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency the banks will deprive the people of all property… The end of democracy and the defeat of the American Revolution will occur when government falls into the hands of lending institutions and moneyed incorporations.”
President Thomas Jefferson (In a letter to Secretary of the Treasury Albert Gallatin, 1802)
“The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the larger centers has owned the government of the U.S. ever since the days of Andrew Jackson.”
President FDR (on de facto Fascist rule in a letter to corporate monopoly charlatan “Colonel” Edward M. House, co-founder of the Council on Foreign Relations and ruling class political fixer. House also handled President Wilson. 11/21/ l933 from “F.D.R.: His Personal Letters”)
“Competition is a sin…The ability to deal with people is as purchasable a commodity as sugar or coffee and I will pay more for that ability than for any other under the sun.”
John D. Rockefeller (Fascist cartel robber baron and promoter of the U.S. “Federal Reserve” Act with the Rothschild bloc. Grandfather to David Rockefeller instigator of the World Bank and IMF. 1839-1937)
“Some people think the Federal Reserve Banks are U.S. government institutions. They are not…The sack of the United States by the Fed is the greatest crime in history…The truth is the Fed has usurped the government. It controls everything here and it controls all our foreign relations. It makes and breaks governments at will.”
Congressman Louis T. McFadden (Chairman, House Banking & Currency Committee, charging a private “Federal Reserve” Corporation with conspiracy, fraud & treason. Congress, June 1934)

February 6th, 2009 at 3:14 pm
I was just watching the house of representatives, the so called representatives questioning the committee which was supposed to watch over the use of our tax money that was funnelled into the banking system to keep our economy alive. First off, the money we are spending to “float” our INTERNATIONAL BANKING INDUSTRY, we don’t even have, in fact we less than have this cash. We are already so indebted by this war, that we have begun to spend money our grandchildren’s kid’s won’t have even started to repay yet. This means that this borrowed money, owed by the taxpayer, is going to sit over the head of my neice, my precious little girl, all of her life. Every day until she retires, which is very far away, she will have to pay more taxes that her grandparents gave to these bankers, who are unnaccountable to her or us, to stabilize our economy. Alas, the money is being used to buy other banks and invest in personal corprate futures speculation, for the profit of these corrupt billionaires who are not worried about rent, or dinner this month anyway. Her children will still be under this blanket of debt our “representatives” are knitting. I’m not ok with that, but im hardcore anyway so you would be expected not to care, in my eyes. What I can’t believe you don’t care about, is that in congress, this comittee tells our “representatives” they don’t have any say over how the money is spent, and have the guts to SAY that “oh, the bankers must have figured out a better way to make money off this tax-fraud then to make loans and stimulate the economy. SO our congress is being told that they have no say over how the bankers spend your grandchildrens life savings, and both congress and this committe are completly at peace with this. All in the same decade that we are going under economically, where our government has become a totalitarian dictatorship, and where all the civilized nations are giving up thier freedoms for the umbrella of world government and the world market. These banks are the world market, these bankers actions represent the darwinian ideal of only the strong survive, except the whole world believes that the money IS the strength. We the people all over the world, us who control the power of production through our own wills, us who sit in our chairs and accept that the world is closing in on us, us who watch our leaders pass thier power on to thier children over and over and dare to call our nation a democracy. We the people who have been sold out by a system of greed and corruption, how dare we sit back and watch our childrens lives get sold down the drain, at a point in history when all the peices are in place for us to feed and clothe and shelter EVERYBODY, and spend the rest of eternity exploring the stars together as one race in this living gift of universes wrapped inside each other, with this cosmic orchastra playing in our ears, and our minds waking up to the words of prophets who screamed for man to live in peace throuout the ages, how dare we sit idly by and watch it get dashed against the concrete. How dare we be silent when faced with this apocalypse looming in front of our faces. In the words of the oft misportrayed Ghandi, “when faced with the choice between cowardice and violence, the only choice is violence”. You see, if we are cowards, our children are already dead. This is what I cant understand, I can see the wool over your eyes, and i’ll let it sit for your comfort to a point, but all of this is unfolding before your very eyes, your being rammed with a congressional dildo, and the committee which is supposed to make sure you stayed lubed up, isn’t even giving you any lube, but you don’t ask why it hurts. Alafia my brothers and sisters, dance the dance of shiva.

There’s NOTHING free in a market that is owned by a central bank.
damdatguy, you have every right to condemn our “representatives” for their treason in letting what was once the most prosperous nation on Earth get thoroughly looted.
However, the fact is that we are all complicit in destroying the future for our grandchildren and their children.
Any time we scamper out to vote in an election, we are supporting the regime that is destroying our standard of living and enslaving our children. The politicians (with very rare exception) are bought and paid for by those that fund the political system.
Any time we take out a mortgage or bank loan, we acquiesce to the central bankers’ usury. Whenever we use Federal Reserve notes, we allow their inflationary plunder.
We can keep whining about how our “representatives” have let us down or we can recognize that we can do something about it without their help.
If we stop using the filthy money that they supply to us, their banking system will dissolve. When we switch to an alternative currency the bankers will no longer be able to steal from us through inflation and usury. We will not be dependent upon them for credit and we will no longer be dictated to by the politicians that the bankers employ.
Click the link below to explore a new inflation-proof currency, new economic format and new social structure that leaves the criminal bankers and corrupt politicians out of the picture altogether.

Good point Michael. Talk about throwing babies out with bathwater.
I have read both of Klein’s books, and the Shock Doctrine was extremely powerful and informative. It shows NWO tactics in play all over the world.
It provides many “case study” nations that all of us could learn from. For the first time we are in the cross hairs of the NWO, and Naomi is on the good side.
She plays it very coy on 911 truth, the only reason anyone could have to dislike her. But she has access to an audience that most truthers only get to see on TV.
She uses her access and good name to fight many tentacles of the NWO.
I will simply take the good stuff from Naomi and say thank you.
A few people around here would do well to crack a serious book once and awhile.
Jews, Christians, Muslims…..makes no difference to me. They are all the same in their belief of some magical sky god they have never seen. Willing to let this imaginary construct tell them how to live, and who to kill. True believers of any stripe are the biggest danger to our planet. Without them, the NWO would not exist or function.

This website can now be officially called a right wing website. Alex Jones and his team of trained chimp bloggers are now exposing themselves for what they truly are. The reponse to Naomi Klein is farcical and shows that the writer has absolutely no understanding of Klein’s position. The author builds up a case by misrepresenting her thoughts. The author also shows a complete lack of knowledge about Capitalism and how it is really corporatism which is a weak form of Fascism. Naomi Klein places the blame of corporations and banks. Naomi Klein, in her books, shows clearly how the banks, corporations and the US government all work hand in hand for US imperialism. The author of this article spins, misrepresents and makes arguments that are contradictory. Naomi Klein is against capitalism (free market) and rightly so. Marxism on paper was good but when practiced it leads to evil communism. Capitalism on paper looks good, but when practiced it leads to evil corporatism. This is why alex jones and his trained right wing monkeys are hacks and shills. They always attack left wing ideology. They always attack those that attack capitalism and the free market. They also attack people who are against religion. They always use right wing talking points such as their talking points with immigration, global warming, protectionism etc. Alex Jones is a corporate hack owned and controlled by clear channel and GCN. Anyone who knows anything about clear channel knows that they are right wing extremists. Google who owns GCN. All the problems we face are caused by: corporations, banks, religious institutions and the corporate controlled government. What does alex jones want you to like? Free market and religion which means you come back full circle to who caused the problems in the first place. Alex Jones leads to religious protectionist corporatism which is the most dangerous mix you can have.

Big difference.
The patriotard movement is led by Jews and crypto-Jews. It’s a false front controlled oppostion movement. It’s purpose is to divert white people who might otherwise be attracted to White Nationalism and trap them in the false patriotard movement, spinning their wheels forever.

Official BS
“The reponse to Naomi Klein is farcical and shows that the writer has absolutely no understanding of Klein’s position… The author also shows a complete lack of knowledge about Capitalism ”
CAPITALISM (noun)
an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and distribution of goods, characterized by a FREE COMPETITIVE market and motivation by profit
(Encarta® World English Dictionary ©)
It is you who are “farcical” and clearly have “absolutely no understanding of Klein’s position” or of “capitalism”. But that’s what projection is, after all: Denial over ignorance and ego.
Here is Klein in her own words (Alternet):
Frel: “You don’t argue that economic elites try to cause disasters they reap the benefits from… they [economic elites] are only cynical enough to take advantage of catastrophe.”
Klein: “I think that’s right…I don’t say that anyone is causing these disasters for their benefit, but in the book I do say that if there’s anything the market delivers on is a stream of increasingly intense disasters…”
So in effect, Klein argues “intense disasters” are a random result of “capitalism” and free “markets” (which do NOT exist) that somehow produce more “disaster capitalism”. And hence, according to Klein – Organized Corporate Crime (FASCISM) is a non-issue. Presto chango. By basic logic and definition of terms alone Klein’s thesis is utter drivel that lacks basic junior high-school level common sense let alone any understanding of economic history. Klein, etc, also lets the criminal ruling class completely off the hook. (Gee, I wonder why)
And in case someone might think the ruling class isn’t real, try Einstein’s quote on for size. (Good luck for those who want to claim he was a “right wing extremist”).
“The minority, the ruling class at present, has the schools and press, usually the Church as well, under its thumb. This enables it to organize and sway the emotions of the masses, and make its tool of them.”
Doctor Albert Einstein (in a letter to Sigmund Freud 7/30/1932. 1879-1955)

1) Your definition of Capitalism is the definition of the myth. In reality it is quite different. It is not free and upward social mobility is as fixed today as it was 500 years ago, literally fixed. Capitalism on paper and how it turned out is just like marxism on paper turned out to be communism. The seeds of its own destruction lie in Capitalism because it causes companies to group up together and in the end you have a few mega corps ruling it all and choking any new competition.
2) You took one quote from naomi Klein. Anyone who has read her books and who have half a brain know that she gives great detail about corporate caused catastrophes and how they swoop in. Also talks about how American companies such as Ford would torture employees in Venezuelan factories. The list is long. So either you have not read her and just read the talking points against her or you are a lying right wing hack.

Peanut Gallery Trolls & MoonBats Have Come Out…
“1) Your definition of Capitalism is the definition of the myth. In reality it is quite different…”
Nooo…. my definition is the dictionary kind that I cited – in detail. “Reality” is something you obviously have little to no connection to.
No doubt you keep your own moonbat dictionary next to the Kool-Aid bathtub where you play captain of your fart bubble navy. “Capitalism” was coined by Karl Marx in the 1870s where it DID NOT EXIST anymore than it exists today. Marx’s time was dominated by ruling class charlatan robber barons that ran governments like toy poodles. As rigged and extorted as the FASCIST system we live under today is, brilliant people can and do succeed (against the odds) in a way that was virtually impossible “500 years ago” when Europe was barely out of the Middle Ages and into the Reformation. While that does not excuse the Fascist system rigged over the globe – you clearly know less than nothing on this issue.
The founders of America certainly believed in “upward mobility” as was proven out by Benjamin Franklin who rose from nothing to become not just wealthy but a key leader of the American Revolution that Franklin affirmed was fought against the King George III as a tool of the “international bankers”.
“2) You took one quote from naomi Klein. Anyone who has read her books…”
The quote is NOT taken out of context and explains the bottom-line rationale behind Naomi Klein’s thinking on “disaster capitalism” as she admits word-for-word. I have “read her books” including her reputation-maker “Shock Doctrine: the Rise of Disaster Capitalism”. Poor work at best and propaganda at worst.
The “great detail about corporate caused catastrophes and how they swoop in” you insist Klein exposes is at best, skin-deep and in NO WAY qualifies as “great detail” in depth or scope as to the causes of any manmade crisis including our current financial crash which Klein (again) has attributed to NON-EXISTANT “capitalism” that CANNOT and DOES NOT EXIST under de facto FASCISM which is the prevailing system.
By the same token, detailed accounts on the true culprit in FASCIST policy have been explored in by the likes of economist-historians Antony Sutton (Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution, Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler, etc) Murray Rothbard (the Case Against the Fed, etc) and F. William Engdahl (A Century of War: Anglo-American Oil Politics and the New World Order) among others.
Again, you speak well beyond your competence here. In the end I’m not that interested in feeding witless trolls. So you’d best fold your tiny mindset and run along back under the bridge where you belong.

Capitalism is not the Free Market. The free market is the open & free exchange of good & services. Not this corporate & state controlled fascist system in place. The free market can work because the corporations could never usurp the rights of the people as the people have the inherent momentum to prevent that from occurring due to their rightful representation within this fairer system due to their numbers & the equitable purchasing power & influence which is inherent in an open & free system of exchange. No one could ever monopolize within such a system as the would be monopolist could NEVER be sustained in the face of the executable power of the common folk.

How does taking more than half of a person’s income (IRS+inflation tax) make this a free market system? People are not free to keep the products of their own labor but rather have it forcefully diverted by the government to the pockets of the ultra-wealthy. Having more rules, regulations and restrictions on every facet of our lives than any person could ever even read does not make this a free market. Having government force us to use the fiat currency of a private bank for one half of every trade we make does not make this a free market.

Free market never has and never will exist because capitalism in its very nature is totalitarian. If you would reduce the size of government to the smallest size possible you would have big business fill in the void in the power vacuum. Big business is totalitarian. We do not control it. Our government is democratic and in theory we control it. The reason we don’t is because the corps control it for themselves. They use it for themselves. Therefore it does not work for us. Then we start to hate government. Alex Jones, Ron Paul, the right wing and the corps tell you to hate government because they are the problem. People start to hate government not fully knowing that they hate the government because of corporate control. Government becomes smaller smaller and big business gets bigger and bigger. The wealth start to polarize into rich and poor and the middle class disappears. Are you guys all insane!!!! Do not hate the government, it is the only democratic institution we have!!! How many people have died for this country and our government!!! Our ancestors did not die for the totalitarian corps!!! They died for freedom and the government that defends it!!! Anyone that wants to reduce government and hand over their future freedoms to the corps deserve no freedom!!!!! We need to get religion and corporations out of the government!!! That does not mean destroy them both. It only means that they should not run the show! The rational democratic will of the people must be obeyed. I know many of you hate the government but truly open your eyes and see that the reason you hate it is because of its actual form which is controlled by the corps. Fight the corps! Fight the banks! Fight for democracy!

A democratic government does not necessarily produce freedom. 51% of the voters can decide that 10% of the population will be serfs working without pay for the ‘benefit of society’. That wouldn’t be free, but it would be democratic. Through democratic decision of the government a country could choose to confiscate 95% of every person’s income. It would be a democratic decision, but it would not be freedom.
What you’re saying is that you want a government that steals on your behalf, rather than on the behalf of someone else. You’re not saying you want freedom.
The US was founded as a limited constitutional republic. Where the rights of every individual were protected from infringement by either the government or other individuals. This goal was often not successfully achieved, but it was the intention. Following the constitution would have generally protected peoples’ freedoms. This gradually morphed in to a democracy that took away people’s freedoms by majority vote. Then that morphed into a corrupt small group of people that took control of government under the cover of majority election and are not taking away peoples’ freedoms (including their physical wealth) for their own benefit. The answer is to decentralize and remove the power to take away freedoms from the unaccountable government.

Of course the US is a democratic constitutional republic. The rule of law should always be applied. The democratic part is more for elections rather than establishing laws or removing rights from certain people.

If government is small, the corps will fill the power vacuum and rule instead. We need a strong central government free of religious and corporate control BUT we also need and independent market. A sort of “Social Capitalism”. I just know that every ism out there right now has failed completely except mixed markets. Maybe we need to engineer mixed market models and make things more free and less totalitarian. I just know that we need a strong democratic constitutional government for by and of the people. People do not died defending corps, people die to defend freedom and to defend their country.

I think the republic was founded on the idea of individual sovereignty and voluntary interactions. Every person was master of their own self and property, and they were free to do as they liked so long as they didn’t infringe on anyone else’s sovereignty. All forms of trade were voluntary rather than forced, and very little was outlawed or restricted (once again, so long as the action didn’t harm or infringe on the rights of others). Government was established to enforce those limited ideas. That is what libertarians mean by limited government.
The most common misunderstanding people seem to have about libertarianism is that they drop the part about not infringing on others’ rights. They mistakenly characterize libertarianism as anarchy where anyone is free to do anything no matter what, when really the concept is that anyone can do what they want so long as it doesn’t hurt others. This is a VERY big difference.
In a libertarian form of government (like the one which was attempted under the constitution), corporations who start trampling on peoples’ rights would be breaking the law and brought to justice under the government who’s role is to stop infringement of rights. What we have now is a government that assists those corporations in the trampling of peoples’ rights, particularly theft of property and denying people use of their property.
The libertarian solution is to stop infringing on peoples’ rights. Whether it is the government or businesses or individuals who do it. Infringing peoples’ rights would be outlawed. Currently government is by far the greatest destroyer of our rights. Halting all its infringing activities would definitely make it much smaller.

1) LOL You just mischaracterized Anarchy by saying it means you can do anything you want no matter what. This is so wrong. Shame on you. Anarchy is a system of voluntary individuals working in mutual cooperation. Many different groups all interacting in good faith. No laws but your freedom ends where someone else`s begins.
2) You need a strong central government for the basics: justice, education, health, army, security, diplomacy, etc. Then you need a strong market that is controlled and limited by that government. Bosses used to make 20 times the average worker. Now it is 350 times. Business needs to be restrained otherwise they control all spheres.
3) Are you aware that libertarianism has a different definition in the US than in the rest of the world? Are you also aware that what is called left in America is actually centrist everywhere else. Be careful when using definitions.
KevinAbt Reply:

1.Then what you call anarchism would just be what I call libertarianism except that in (your definition of) anarchism none of the laws are written down and there is no government to enforces them.
2. You don’t need a central government for education. To illustrate this pick up a book, read it, and you are now more educated. all without any government involvement. You don’t need it for health care either. As far as wealth inequality goes, the government is more responsible for unfair wealth distribution than anything else. Most people want as much money as they can get. If they can get huge incomes by voluntarily trading with other people than there is no harm and its a good thing. If they get that income by stealing it via government action than there is a problem, because that is robbery. Right now we have some of both. You make the mistake of thinking that the government can or will solve your problems for you. If you’re not getting paid enough you shouldn’t go to the government to have them force other people to pay you more, that is theft too. Find some way of getting a higher income without stealing. Unfortunately right now the government is blocking people from freely pursueing a high income by fair means. They take a huge chunk of everything you earn and put all kinds of restrictions on how you can trade with other people and how you can use your own property. Government will always be hijacked by powerful interests (like it is right now) and then will be used to unfairly steal from us and destroy their competition. The only safe thing to do is keep the violent force of government out of our business as much as possible to increase our freedom and reduce the theft and interference.
3. I defined libertarianism as I know it here in the US, how is it defined in the rest of the world?

Idiots, I agree with your central thesis. The democratic processes we have in government are one of the only levers we citizens have to influence the direction our nation will go. Conversely, coprporations are fundamentally un-democratic institutions who use the government as a tool to help them externalize their costs and internalize the profits. When the spokesmen from the right say they want small government what they really are saying is that they want small government insofar as it’s ability to restrict corporations from doing as they please. The problem is not simply big government, but BAD GOVERNMENT. And who exactly are “the left” in this country? Kucinich and Bernie Sanders maybe two or three others? The difference between Republicans and Democrats on the issues that really count is not worth talking about. Those party names do not mean what they used to.
You should expect a strong element of right wing thought on sites like these as what has come to be known as the “truth movement” originated from the right. If your purpose is to persuade, you should be able to make your point civilly without resorting to name-calling and animal analogies or else the whole thing quickly degenerates into a mindless flame war.

The current system we have is basically: “tax someone else, give it to me”. And all groups are scrambling to be the one on top doing the taking while trying to keep themselves from being ripped off. Large corporations have been more successful at this because they have the resources to buy off the politicians. But individuals do this too. Every chance they get individuals will try to take as much as they can while giving back as little as possible. Take the recent SCHIP expansion for example. It isn’t being funded by everyone equally (democratically). The politically stronger group (non-smokers) is sticking the politically weaker smokers with the all the costs. This isn’t fair and it isn’t free. It is an unapportioned tax, the constitution used to specifically forbid this because it always transfers wealth from one group to another.
Not everyone who wants smaller government is from the “right”. The ones who want just themselves freed up and enriched aren’t really proponents of freedom, they are just more of the people who want everyone else to be taxed except them. A genuinely free market advocate would want all taxes and restrictions removed from everyone, not just themselves.

Because They Hate: A Survivor of Islamic Terror Warns America
by Brigitte Gabriel
From Publishers Weekly
With strident confidence, American Congress for Truth founder Gabriel rebukes the American public for being “weak, asleep or careless” in the face of Muslim terrorism. A Christian survivor of the vicious civil war between Lebanese Christians and Muslims in the 1970s, Gabriel leans on her own terrifying experiences to condemn Muslims, without apparent regard for their ethnicity, ideology or historical role. Consistently using the words “Muslim” and “Arab” as if they were interchangeable, she concludes that the U.S. is “facing total destruction” at the hands of people who are uncultured and cruel, and prescribes such solutions as “profile, profile and profile,” and banning “hate education” in Islamic institutions. Though her writing is eloquent and her passion tremendous, Gabriel’s strict dichotomy between “evil versus goodness” is too extreme to be informative. Readers will be forced to decide whether or not to accept her heart-felt bias. (Oct.)

Review
“Brigitte Gabriel eloquently reminds America what is truly at stake in this struggle against terrorism: our families, our way of life, and our hopes. Ms. Gabriel’s personal account of her own experience is riveting, compelling and spellbinding. This is a must read for the entire American public . . . This book contains monumental revelations that will shock and disturb you. But it is also a story of an indomitable spirit–Brigitte’s– that will move you.”
–Steve Emerson, author of American Jihad: The Terrorists Living Amongst Us, Executive Director, the Investigative Project on Terrorism
“A compelling and captivating personal story with a powerful lesson about threats to freedom in our time.”–R. James Woolsey, Director of Central Intelligence, 1993-95
“Brigitte Gabriel’s story is at once intensely personal and possessing global significance . . . the story of her family and her childhood encapsulates the threat that faces the entire free world today. Brigitte Gabriel’s words should be read, and studied carefully, by all the law enforcement and government officials of the West — as well as by everyone who values freedom.” — Robert Spencer, author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades)

Most of the corporations who work very closely with the government are not operating in a free market. They are operating in a forcefully controlled market wherein the government use the violent force of law to steal from people and restrict their actions in order to benefit the corporations.
Chompsky and Klein point out many of the key features of the system we live under but omit others (either because they don’t understand or because they have an agenda). It seems that they are willing to challenge the system, but only up to a point. They are unwilling to fully explore the full nature of the system and it often feels like they are pulling their punches and diverting blame away from the true culprits. This may not be intentional, it is a complex, frightening and dangerous system and many people can’t fully grasp it, for whatever reason.

From your post I know you have not read many Chomsky books or Naomi Klein. I have read around 30 books by Chomsky. I have also read Klein. I can tell you that you are far from presenting them in a good way. You do not seem to know what is happening. Government is not forcing anything on the free market, the market has always forced the government not to interfere and when they did interfere it should always be for the corps. The control government from a to z. Most laws are drawn up by lobbyists. The erason we are in a mess is because of deregulation of everything and especially the media. The banks and the corps want to control everything. They make government act for them. Then you hate government because of it. This reduces government and the corps control even more. Can you not see this simple fact?
KevinAbt Reply:

“Government is not forcing anything on the free market”…
You don’t think that having half of your income taken from you is done by force? Do you think that requiring everyone to use federal reserve notes for all their transactions isn’t done by force? You think that the more than 1 million laws, regulations and restrictions on every activity imaginable is not being done by force? You even said yourself that the government does interfere in the market on behalf of the corporations (which I totally agree with). What you’ve just said here isn’t even internally consistent.
In a free market corporations would only control their own property, just like everyone else. With the assistance of government they (and others) are able to also control everything and everyone else. And then no one is free and no one controls their own property or destiny and all power is concentrated in the state. You seem to think that if only “we” could get control of that power, then “we” could use it to reshape society the way that “we” want it to be rather than the way that “they” want it to be. That then “we” would be on the winning side of the stealing and enslaving rather than the losing side. This kind of mentality creates a permanent struggle for power and an endless string of abuses, errors, corruption and problems. A better mentality would be to respect other peoples’ property and rights and to stop stealing from them and stop trying to control them. That would be freedom for everyone.
Corporations on their own (without government backing) are nothing more than salesmen. Just tell them no and stop buying from them and there would be no way they could take anything from you. When they have an IRS agent collecting on their behalf you can’t say no though.

You are like the communist apologists. Capitalism will always lead to monopolies and they will always strive for oligarchies. If you have a capitalist mentality, it cannot do any other thing than strive for power and control. It is so easy to grasp. Capitalism is a failure. A complete failure. We need a new system. period.
KevinAbt Reply:
February 7th, 2009 at 7:11 pm
Only two kinds of monopolies have existed. The most common is the monopoly that results from government interference, granting one compnay exclusive rights to do a certain thing thus preventing anyone else from competing (post office, federal reserve, copy rights, education system). Privately established monopolies that work within a free market system of voluntary exchanges and open entry very rarely come about, and if they do it is usually temporary. They only lasts as long as the monopoly supplier can out compete all potential competition. This is good for the consumer because they get the best price then, if the monopoly provider starts jacking up the prices they soon lose business to new companies that can provide the same service at lower cost thus breaking the monopoly.
Striving for power and control is normal and not a bad thing, it is how civilization grows and improves. So long as people don’t use force or infringe other peoples’ rights in their pursuit then no one gets hurt. When this striving for power and control because destructive is when people start to use violence and coersion to get their way rather than peaceful means. Government is violence and coercion, and very often businesses and people co-opt it to get their power and control at the expense of others.
The US was by and large a mostly free market system (capitalism, if you want to label it that). And under that system the greatest wealth and prosperity in the history of the world has been created (that prosperity is being rapidly undermined by the removal of freedom now though). Do you consider this to be failure?

lets see Mr. Tyson seams that he knows everything. Maybe he could explain how the USA
is 11 Trillion in debt. That would beg the question that 11 trillion existed since the Birth of
Baby Jesus and before. Since we as sheeple suckerass taxpayers have to pay interetest on
the DEBT now approaching 500 Billion a Year. I was wondering if the oh so Brilliant Ted
could explain who is receiving this Interest and who gets to create money from thin air and
gets to charge Interest what a stinkin racket. That is counterfeiting isn’t it?

It seems some people have lost sight of a very simple fact. We live under a capitalist system. Therefore, if we are being screwed by the system, we are being screwed by capitalism.
The term “free-market capitalism” is a pefect example of what Orwell referred to as doublespeak. It’s the same thing as saying “free bondage.”
What difference does it make to an individual if he is dominated by a single employer, a corporation, or a centralized bureaucracy. Exploitation feels the same no matter who is inflicting it.
Here’s some more news. The Soviet Union was the most capitalistic of societies; one big business, with the bosses on top bleeding the laborers below. AND the state is indispensable to a capitalist society because it must regulate the interactions between the classes. The state is the chain and whip that keeps the slaves in their “proper” place.
Naomi Kleon may be a fool, but she is no more of a fool than these people who THINK they are criticizing her.
Love thy master you free slaves. NEVER question him and forever praise his sacred and inviolable name…CAPITALISM.

“We live under a capitalist system.”
Gee, really?
Is that because Naomi Klein says we do? You probably think it’s just an accident Klein basically parrots what we get taught about living under “democracy” and a “capitalist system” from elementary school up.
So it’s only that “capitalism” has gone south – kinda like old milk. Like accidental “disaster capitalism”. It just couldn’t be we actually live under propaganda Fascism like the writer of this story says. Hm?
“Here’s some more news. The Soviet Union was the most capitalistic of societies”
Hey that’s a good one. I hear red lizards under the north pole control the Queen of England and forced her to make a knight out of Sir “Bubbles” Greenspan.
Never mind. Just go back to sleep. (you don’t have to think there)

Semantics is one of the main reasons I am so often misunderstood. Stop being a slave to your definitions and maybe you will see that I am correct.
When I say that the Soviet Union was capitalistic, I could just as well say that the present situation in the US is communistic. All of these terms have been utilized by those in power as a smokescreen to blind us to the truth: Throughout history the powerhorders have always used different names for themselves but what it simply comes down to is there are those who would dominate and there are those who would be dominated (and inevitably rise up).
What sense does it make to defend those who dominate you when it is not in your own interest, only theirs? Are you a capitalist? No? Then why do you defend them? Have you ever considered that maybe you have been a bit brainwashed?
We are THE PEOPLE, we are not THEM.

FYI, All money is fiat money. It all comes from the illusion born of commodity fetishism. And you know what else? It is the hallmark of a capitalist society. Eliminate the “free” market and the illusion called money vanishes.

I read Ayn Rand’s ,”Capitalism, the Unknown Ideal” and can see great merit in actual Capitalism, however, I don’t see how it can be achieved. As soon a anyone gets a pile of money, he will use it to buy influence with the government. The government members will then make laws to favor the guy who already has the money. Even in pure Capitalism the State has the job of defense. So who is going to get defense contracts? If you don’t have wars all the time, how will they make money and get government contracts , etc, etc. None of the big corporations are Capitalist, they are Fascist. I don’t see anyway to stop Capitalism from turning into Fascism. Not as long as people are greedy and fearful, as they always have been and always will be.
JT Reply:
February 7th, 2009 at 9:47 am
Exactly. It is just as unrealizable as the communist ideal. It can only be supported on a foundation of quasi-religious blind faith.
Individual capitalists=small fascism. Monopoly capital=big fascism.
If you check into it you will see that capitalism in its infancy was absolutely brutal, so much so that state intervention was A MUST to check its abuses AND to keep the uppity servants down when they asked for a bigger piece of the pie. In other words, without the regulation of the state, capitalism will spiral immediately into chaos. WITH the state it takes a bit more time, but the result is still going to be the same.

You hit on the crux of the issue.
So-called “capitalism” is as old as agriculture and trade itself (do a google search on “ancient capitalism”). How to limit oligarchs from domination of all industry then to rigging and control of governments and media (as they do now under Corporate Monopoly Fascism) is the issue. It’s an especially thorny one when Fascism (the merger of state and corporate power with corporate power in command) has control over the creation of money that it can print out of thin air to game the very “education” and the “news” (i.e. propaganda) people consume to make their impaired judgments.
The founders of America knew this danger well (as the Jefferson quote in the original story affirms). Old Ben may have put it most colorfully:
“Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!”
Benjamin Franklin
In this case “well-armed” also means well educated as to what really goes on under the propaganda constantly churned out by the corporate crime Washington-MSM axis madhouse responsible for 9/11 coverup, genocide sham “war on terror” and endless “Wall Street Bailouts” for those “too big to fail” . Not easy when people actually believe they still live under a “democracy” that was sold out long ago.

Oh boy… a Naomi Klein worshiper got his Rhodes Scholar worldview singed. (maybe somebody should explain who Cecil Rhodes was) Hey guess what, I’ve read her books. She’s not terrible. She’s also about as superficial as they come. Kind of like a runway model of the phony left. That’s probably why she got a career selling Oprah level psuedo insights on the economic front.
I agree with this writer. “capitalism” is a bogus decoy the elite ersatz ‘left” uses to distract from the real malefactor ruling power which is independent of party affiliation or petty ideologies.
Do some research yourself.

Hey Blood, You really are a thick headed chimp brained arse. You call Naomi Klein superficial yet you are an alex jones fan. Alex Jones, the right wing nutjob masquerading as a truther. I bet you have a high school degree at most and that you have read only a couple of paragraphs on Naomi Klein. I bet you attack Noam Chomsky, and here again is a person how is devoted to social activism and has decried US and Israeli foreign policy his entire life. He also attacks and exposes the media. He also attacks and exposes corporate crimes. By since alex jones doesn’t like Chomsky or Klein, you idiots don’t either. You idiots are all mindless clones of alex jones. The reason these two writers are attacked by Jones is because they are on the left. He brings on nutjobs and racists like Jerome Corsi and gives him a platform at least half a dozen times and Corsi is a discredited author caught plagiarizing and out right lying in everything he ever wrote. You idiots eat it all up when it is right wing, no matter how moonbat crazy it is. But naomi Klein and Noam Chomsky, real truthers, are labeled gate keepers. You idiots wouldn’t know a true scholar if you saw one.

“Idiots R Us”
No doubt a fitting moniker for someone who does no more than insult those who don’t bow down before sham elite “left wing” sacred cows Obama, Chomsky, Klein, etc. (Chomsky who said of the Kean & Hamilton admitted 9/11 coverup that even if 9/11 were in fact a government rigged event – “who cares? You know – I mean it doesn’t have any significance.” )
Actually Chomsky has done good work in the past. In my opinion he has forfeited his credibility on the issue of a manifest 9/11 coverup. Naomi Klein’s work is not without value either. But to say she does far more than state the obvious while pointing the finger at the wrong culprit (free markets that don’t exist, etc) is intellectually bankrupt for reasons the author above and others have cited.
From all signs it would seem people like Chomsky and Klein are professional limited hangout artists who sell the idea that it is half-baked “right wing” ideology that drives Police State policy. This when “change you can believe in” FISA spy state and snake oil “war on terror” Obama was bulldozed to office by Wall Street corporate crime. Obama has chosen nothing but corrupt Wall Streeters, lobbyists and even BushCo underlings (Robert Gates etc) to maintain the utterly false “war on terror” killing fields.
Oh, and as to Jerome Corsi. Despite his support of 9/11 truth, Corsi strikes me as someone not worth listening too. But then I would have to say the same about you.
I could go on and insult loud fanatics and hypocrites such as yourself in turn, but that would be bringing myself down to your squalid level.

It is more than abundantly clear that central bank control over the debt of a central governed nation acts on behalf of the centralized government and not the people for in debt do they “flourish” while the citizenry is imposed upon and lead by elected “officials”.
Its time to grow up and empower the people not the central banks who in turn empower the central government.

Why would anyone expect one person to have all the answers? There is one absolute truth but each of us can only hope for a limited understanding of it. Maybe that is why there are so many of us. Each individual has a unique contribution to make to our common consciousness. Instead of valuing the good and true parts of each other, however, all we want to do is attack and criticize. I would like to point out that a truly free market could probably thrive and foster an equitable society if people owned themselves, their own property, and controlled their own money supply. Even during colonial times, property was concentrated in a few hands, and many residents did not even own themselves, i.e. slaves and indentured servants, let alone their own property and means of production. Now the more fortunate of us spend our lives working to pay banks and produce profit for others. As far as overproduction is concerned, there is one commodity that we consume every day and that is food. Right now some people are starving while others are obese but malnourished, and many are suffering from diseases due to vitamin and mineral deficiencies, (and a toxic environment). So I think we could afford to increase production of fresh food and natural methods of maintaining good soil, for one thing, since our population is increasing. Also, if most people weren’t shackled to mind-numbing jobs to pay rent or mortgage, I think we could imagine and invent many more wonderful things to sell to each other, even if our other goods were of such good quality that we wouldn’t be forced to replace them all the time!
