The FBI were spying on Tea Party protesters nationwide during last week’s demonstrations as part of a covert program conducted without the knowledge of local law enforcement, according to a source named as a current FBI agent.
The Northeast Intelligence Network reports that a concerned unnamed FBI agent risked his career in blowing the whistle on the fact that Tea Party protesters were subject to covert surveillance.
The FBI agent allegedly told Doug Haggman, “The Department of Homeland Security Intelligence Assessment that is receiving so much attention is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, and the true patriotic citizens of this country are on the Titanic. This is what bothers me. But is goes far beyond that assessment. There have been very significant changes made over the last few years that redirect the focus and assets of the intelligence community internally. These changes have greatly accelerated under this administration, and the threats have been redefined to include those who used to be patriots. It’s not only chilling but absolutely insulting to God-fearing Americans.”
The source claims that a single page FBI directive was dispatched from FBI headquarters in Washington DC on March 23 requesting that Special Agents in Charge (SACs) “verify the date, time and location of each TEA Party within their region and supply that information to FBI headquarters in Washington.”
Agents were then instructed to compile information on the organizers of the different protests and also send the information back to FBI headquarters. On April 6, they were subsequently asked to conduct covert surveillance and data collection of the protesters attending the Tea Party demonstrations. Surveillance was to be performed from “discreet fixed or mobile positions” and was to be performed “independently and outside of the purview of local law enforcement,” according to the source.
Although the level of detail collected from each operation is unclear, the information was reportedly submitted to Washington, where, “at the level of the National Security Branch (NSB), this information was to “include the office of the Directorate of Intelligence (DI), and integrated with a restricted access database, one that reportedly is accessible to only two agencies” [of the 14 agencies that comprise the U.S. intelligence community, according to the source.
“The implications to the citizens of the U.S. are ominous. It seems that there is a hostile political agenda coming from Washington that characterizes the supporters of our constitutional freedoms as threats to our domestic security, which is totally absurd. The redirection, the refocusing of domestic threats from al Qaeda cells to ‘flag waving right-wingers’ is something that has gone from a murmur a few years ago to a roar today.”
The notion that the FBI would be conducting covert surveillance and building databases on attendants of the Tea Party protests is thoroughly disturbing if not unsurprising. Indeed, before any major political event the FBI prosecutes aggressive surveillance of political groups to the point of harassment and beyond. Before the 2004 Republican Convention, the FBI initiated a nationwide campaign to track down leaders of protest groups and interrogate them, as “part of a national effort to chill dissent in this country,” according to William Dobbs, the spokesman for United for Peace and Justice.

Not long after 9/11, the FBI returned to tactics that were first made infamous during the days of J. Edgar Hoover, by collecting extensive information on anti-war and other protest groups. To highlight the non-partisan threat of the police state, the FBI is now treating so-called “right-wingers” and conservatives with the same disdain. Basically anyone who seeks to exercise their constitutional rights to peaceably assemble and express free speech is considered a threat and even a potential terrorist, as a recent Homeland Security directive implied.
From 1956 to 1971, the FBI’s COINTELPRO program worked to monitor and disrupt protest movements across America as part of an effort to stifle dissent. FBI Director Hoover ordered FBI agents to “expose, disrupt, misdirect, discredit, or otherwise neutralize” the activities of these movements and their leaders. The final report of the Church Committee, which was tasked with investigating the legality of the program, concluded that the FBI had performed “unsavory and vicious tactics” in undertaking “secret surveillance of citizens on the basis of their political beliefs, even when those beliefs posed no threat of violence or illegal acts on behalf of a hostile foreign power.”
As we reported last week, The Maryland National Guard was put on alert in anticipation of the nationwide Tea Party protests, while a Homeland Security spokesman refused to deny that protesters would be under surveillance from the DHS.
The Maryland National Guard issued a Force Protection Advisory on April 11 which warned the National Guard to be on alert during the Tea Party protests because Guardsmen and Guard facilities might become “targets of opportunity.” The contact point for the document was listed as the Antiterrorism Program Coordinator.
The advisory was almost exactly the same as a United States Army Reserve Command Force Protection Advisory that was issued last November before the nationwide End the Fed protests, warning that protesters were congregating across the country to demonstrate against the private Federal Reserve.
During an interview on the Roger Hedgecock Show before last week’s demonstrations, Sean Smith, Assistant Secretary of DHS for Public Affairs, refused to deny that Homeland Security officials would be spying on Tea Party protesters when pressed by Hedgecock.
“Is the department sending people to video or record in any way the Tea Parties?” asked Hedgecock during the interview.
“Um, I can’t speak to sort of things that are law enforcement sensitive. Um, so I can’t speak to any current law enforcement operations,” responded Smith.
FBI surveillance of Tea Party protesters highlights the fact that the architecture of the police state, which was massively expanded under George W. Bush, has not been dismantled or relaxed by an Obama administration that promised “change,” and if anything has only grown bigger.
The Obama administration’s announcement that the illegal warrantless surveillance of American citizens, a program initiated under Bush, will continue and in fact intensify under Obama, is another shining example of the fact that – no matter who is in power and no matter the political persuasion of those being watched – all Americans who have the temerity to exercise constitutional rights are considered dangerous and worthy of being targeted by the federal government with surveillance tools supposedly introduced to fight terrorists.

These tea parties were not about taxes, they were about hating a black man in the white house, therefore because of the 100% lack of multiculturalism with only having white people rally like a bunch of morons around the country. I’m curious. Is there anyone, anywhere who still believes everything is fine? How can anyone not read this article and simply shrug their shoulders and sigh. I mean, “Duh,” this is old news by now. Hey, I appreciate the news, but it’s nothing new.

hahaha… interesting inductive reasoning. I am free. I don’t need anyone’s permission. As a libertarian, I treat everyone with the respect as I want to be treated; personal, and property. A good parallel is gay marriage. If we’re all equal under the constitution, then why the hell are gays asking permission for something they already can do? A contract between two persons is private. End of story. I can say, good plan, to the NWO and laugh their delusion. I will never live in their world. They can sure try to stop me, as they have to many in the past… try to stop my freedom, but guess what? You can’t stop an ideal. It’s not tangible. Freedom and Liberty are non negotiable.
Also, anger is a gift. First is knowledge. Then contemplation. Within contemplation are a plethora of emotions. Well, it’s time to light the fire on a Molotov cocktail, and throw it in the drivers seat of that bulldozer. Bulldozers generally have tracks, not wheels… so letting the air out, won’t work, but, lighting a fire under their ass might.
As far as worshiping Satan, this is the greater left / right paradigm being played on you from BIRTH. If you can wrap your mind around it, good and evil must both exist, for either to exist. Left / right, good / evil, all of these are the sides of the same coin. Instead of worrying about what god these people kneel to, start looking at the value and worth of those around you, and stop categorizing people in these narrow minded, narrow categories.
We as a people, need to accept each other, if were ever going to do anything about our government. If we are infighting, and finger pointing, we are simply easier to control, and easier to divide and conquer. Gay, straight, black, white, whatever… we as a people need to look beyond all these false paradigms that have been set out to divide us, and look at ourselves in the mirror, and realize our worth, and the worth of every man, woman and child around us, letting go of these sterotypes and joining together as brothers in arms.
Religion and sexuality has been turned into a tool to control the masses. Republican, Democrat, Christian, Hedonist, Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, whatever… at our core, we are all humans, and all born with rights, granted to us again by the constitution of America. As long as they can divide us, they can control us, and kill us off, one group at a time.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the TEA parties are STAGED propaganda to direct the dissent. Most “TEA parties” were attended by the same politicians that are of absolutely no use to the American people or no help in getting America back on track. Think people. IF it was REALLY unbridled dissent, free of manipulation do you think they would allow it? OR that it would be attended by the politicians that recieve their paychecks from the same corporate interests that control this country?

Just in case I’m on a watchlist for coming to this website I’d like to say that I come to this site for the comedy. It is a sub-genre of dark comedy, but for media commentary. And like dark comedy in film, it takes a certain sense of humor to understand. Kevin Booth (sacred cow productions) who really discovered Alex when he was on access says Alex is one of the funniest people he knows. To me that says this is more about a special brand of comedic commentary than it does a political activist website. Most people fail to see the humor though. Alex’s documentaries are almost a horror/thriller genre but for docs instead of narrative. So, just thought I’d medntion that. I know people who take this site way too serioursly will argue with this though.

I agree with the FBI and our government on this one. Protests were held in several major cities around our country, and yes they were peaceful, and yes American’s have “every” right to particitpate, but what did you expect the FBI to do? Just sit around with their heads in a book? They were out there observing exactly like they’re paid to do. And what came of it…nothing. I say let this one go, it’s not worth getting all riled-up for.

I have a friend that works closely with the FBI (he is not in the FBI) and he has informed me how stupid the FBI agents really are. The current day FBI is staffed with lazy, uneducated, incompetent agents who lack a mature and capable work ethic. He further told me that most agents are not smart enough to infiltrate gangs and domestic terror groups. This is why most agents are currently being used as basic street cops going after law abiding citizens. The honest folks make easy targets.

I wanted to share with all of you a new movie about the targeted arrest of African Americans to fill up the prison system. It is the first of its kind. It is a true story about a DA in a small town who systematically arrested Blacks and set them up. The particular lady, was set up and sent to jail for drug dealing. She eventually sued the DA who was a racist bigot who targeted African Americans especially. The movie has a few A list starts and the lead is a new comer. It is not a highly budgeted film and is struggling. Pleases support it. There is a free screening at the Edwards Movie theater in Houston April 21, 2009 at 7pm. I met the director and young lady who the film was about. They didn’t get into the corporate private run prisons and the almost slavery like market. This is a must see film

Ok people, I am going to let you all in on a little secret.
Many of us have been on a watch list for years. Shocking, isn’t it?
I remember when I wrote the follow up to the Anarchist Cookbook, and submitted it to Barricade Books about 3 months before the OK City bombing, and got a letter in the mail, saying that the material was *Too Dangerous* to be given to the public. About 2 weeks later, I was brought in for *questioning* or rather, interrogation, for simply putting together a book, of publicly known formulas. I was deemed a none threat, but have since always been under a watchful eye, so to speak.
I will give you all this, never say anything over the internet, or over the phone, that you wouldn’t sit down and tell Uncle Sam to his face. Treat your freedom of speech, as the Government giving you a noose, with enough slack for you to hang yourself. Keep everything you *know* inside, if at all possible… study and make plans, but never write anything down, or leave anything incriminating about what you are THINKING of doing. Always have a plan, and always look for a way out. The best way to live, is under the radar, and as a respectable, viable American Citizen.
I have seen people being locked up for writing things down, etc.
To know, to plan, to keep silent.
We are all prisoners in the police state, and all guilty until proven innocent. Act accordingly.
