While I somewhat agree with you that if someone doesn’t believe in something then they just shouldn’t do it, however people should also have to right to say what they want to say, be that on bumper stickers, t-shirts, or even out loud. The same as you have a right to support abortion, or at least pro-choice annitiatives, others have the right to support pro-life annitiatives as well. Whenever you allow one group to stifle another’s voice there is tyranny. And remember- at one time, YOUR voice was the one that was stifled, the position that was unpopular. You were given the chance to speak, and you now owe it to others to stand up for their rights, despite how vehemetly you oppose their view.

How about this: men are not allowed to tell women what to do with their bodies. I like doug stanhope’s take on abortion: If they were serious, masturbation would be illegal. “I’ve wiped entire civilizations off of my chest with a crusty gym sock!”
Promoting it is bad, condoms are infinitely better! However making it illegal is just as bad, in a different way. The answer is not in legislation, but education.

The option must be left available. YOU TRY telling a woman who has been raped by her father that she is not allowed to have an abortion, because it is murder.
