Jon Stewart wants to know why the CIA is recruiting former Wall Street bankers.
According to Reuters, the CIA recently “held interviews on June 22 at a secret location in New York” after posting ads targeting laid off Wall Street workers.
“Economics, finance and business professionals, if the quest for the bottom line is just not enough for you, the Central Intelligence Agency has a mission like no other,” a radio ad announced about the openings. “Join CIA’s directorate of intelligence and be a part of our global mission as an economic or financial analyst. Make a difference in your career and for your nation.”
Stewart joked, “The CIA specializes in taking calm, stable countries and causing them to collapse, why would they want people who ran…”
“Brilliant,” Stewart applauded after a short pause.

I sometimes wonder about John Stewart but you must admit he is funny
I guess these will be the jobs Osama er I mean Obama said would be produced by his stimulis package

I think the point is trying to be funny, and most of the time succeeding. In my view, Stewart seems to be a bit of a political cynic… so there is plenty of material.

I watch him every fucking day. He is hilarious and makes as much fun of both parties as he possibly can. They don’t need much help to look foolish, but he gives just the right amount. Jon Stewart fucking rocks.

John Stewart is on mainstream tv. He has to say acceptable things, or he is gone. If you listen to him off screen. He is downwiddy with whats actually going on.

I must agree. I’ve been watching him “daily” for over a year. I saw him actually step it up a notch after he lost a bunch of money with Lehman Bros. He’s actually even talked about the Wymar Republic! The man says as much as possible and even a tid bit more sometimes. He does what he can get away with, I honestly believe that after scrutinizing his work this year. It must be frustrating for him.

It’s because he is on Comedy Central and it isn’t a news station, but a comedy station. However, the quality of the news there is much better as most of what the news reports as news is better suited for the comedy channel.

Sorry, but I too find him rather pathetic, and certainly not funny. Is it possibly the “canned” laughter that makes you think he is funny? or are you completely oblivious to the amount of suffering that the US has caused in Nicaragua, Honduras, and Panama…the murders and tortures in the furtherance of the United States’ evil agenda is disgusting, and not something to be made light of..unless of course you are pandering to the elitist’s further brainwashing of the embiciles that watch such garbage.
