Amid this week’s economic turmoil, politicians and journalists alike have been focusing on the difficulties of ordinary Americans and how to head off worse problems in the days to come. But Fox News has had something different at the forefront of its concerns.
The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart explained, “Clearly the economy is the dominant story everywhere — well, almost everywhere…. If you want to see real panic, don’t go down to Wall Street, head down to America’s Newsroom, where the economic downturn has corresponded with a surge in Barack Obama’s polling numbers ”
Since Tuesday’s debate, Fox News has been doing its best to discuss the presidential campaign without ever mentioning the economy. One typical Fox story highlighted by Stewart commented insinuatingly that “Barack Obama is ahead right now in many of the battleground states — the same states where investigations are under way for voter fraud. Is this a coincidence?”
(Article continues below)
As Bradblog has noted, it apparently is not a coincidence — but only because Republicans have deliberately chosen these crucial swing states to bring phony accusations of voter fraud, which are then promoted by the McCain campaign.
Stewart then offered a montage of other recent Fox topics, which have included William Ayers, an unretouched photo of Sarah Palin on the cover of Newsweek which reveals that she has wrinkles, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, “the deep secret ties between Obama and the Kenyan government,” pro-McCain country singers, Sarah Palin’s legs, whether Barack Obama ever met Louis Farrakhan, Bill Ayers, Bill Ayers, Bill Ayers, Bill Ayers, and Bill Ayers.
Stewart finally showed a frustrated Fox host commenting when faced with a focus group full of Obama supporters, “The key is not who they like, the key is who they’re going to vote for.”
“‘Fox News,” concluded Stewart, mocking that network’s slogan. “The world’s unfair and we are becoming mentally unbalanced.’”

Its hard for Fox News to realize that they are so Biased in how they present thier version of News that it is easy to call them out. Thanks Stewart for exposing hypocrosy…
Of course they feel they cannot win if everyone is focused on the economy otherwise thier Fat Cat Sponsers might have to look elsewhere to push thier propaganda!
Yes we should spend all our money to prop up the Big Banks, and No there is Not any Money to help out Homeowners or the Millions Losing Jobs.

I think Alex is letting Neo-cons and Neo-libs to infiltrate his staff and website, or he is one of them. I have seen too many articles on this site lately that play to the false left-right paradigm. I think Alex is an instigator for the man, drawing us out so the government can put us on a list. Ask Alex about the Vatican and the Jesuits, he won’t touch it. Why? Because he is a Jesuit? They are a big part of the world government conspiracy but yet he doesn’t say a word. What about the UFO’s? Not saying there are aliens, but there is definitely technology being hidden from us, and he won’t touch that either. I officially am calling Alex a FAKE! His site is not what it used to be and more and more of the articles are nothing different than what I find on CNN or Fox.

PERHAPS there is an underlying reason that republican’s are considered the party of death, war, lies, torture, facism, ect. PERHAPS the Bush administration was purposefully selected to lead America so they could shit all over the country, showing the ignorance, incompetence, destructiveness, hate, violence, and arrogance of conservative ideals; less government, more traditional values and a government that recognizes the original intent for this country. Oh wait, thats completely the opposite of what they did, what hypocrits… Unless PERHAPS this was all intentional to make the general populous reject their own ideals (out of spite towards ‘republicans’) and replace them with ideals of the left; equality through increased regulation, taxes, government spending, and to do this they need a frontman who represents someone the “republicans” wronged in the last 8 years: Muslims, black people, young people, people who are anti-authoritarian, foreign people, people against the Iraq war. And so we now have the great answers to the problem the ‘republicans’ created: Barack Obama, or is it possible that none of these people are actually republicans or democrats and this was all designed to keep you entertained and involved in created a bigger government that the people actually beg for… Then it almost seems like The hypocrisy is deeper than we ever imagined.

Watching FOX news to stay informed about current events is like changing a diaper. It might be a different kid but it’s the same old shit.

Here’s an interesting question: is there anyone besides medicated “seniors” and brainwashed “rapture” cultists who regard Fox as an even semi-legitimate “news” organization anymore?
