Study: In US, 90 percent of black children will be fed by food stamps

Nearly half of all US children, including an overwhelming majority of black children, will eat meals at some point during their childhood paid for by food stamps, an indicator of poverty, a study showed Monday.
“If you get food stamps, you are by definition in poverty and your household doesn’t have many assets,” said Mark Rank, a co-author of the study with Thomas Hirschl of Cornell University.
“The fact that half of American children at some time during their childhood find themselves in this position really ought to be a wake-up call to America,” he told AFP.
The study found that 49.2 percent of all American children will at some point live in a home that receives food stamps.

If we were a “true republic” as our founding fathers meant us to have, we wouldn’t
have this crap today. A republic is where ” we the people vote for the elected officials
and rule from the “bottom” (we the people) up (elected officials).
But instead we seem to have a democracy which our founding fathers never intended.
A democracy is where the people vote for elected officials then ruled from the top (elected officials) down (we the people). Democracy is one step closer to the direction
of tyranny rule, that’s why they made it a “republic”.

Have you ever tried getting an education from a state school? If you are lucky to get a good teacher for each subject and a private tutor, you can sail through. Get a teacher who either can’t control a class, can’t explain things clearly, or is constantly distracted by some disruptive kid, then you are screwed in that subject. Fail two subjects and it’s no university or college for you.

That’s a huge problem we have: if the parents would take their kids out and either home school or private school them, it would break the bonds of ignorance and dependence that the government so loves. You people just don’t understand- those poor black women were forced to have sex, over and over, with many different black men, none of whom they were married to and none of whom worked for a living. That’s why they all have twenty kids with different last names. They were also forced to buy Jeri Curl, leopard-spot stretch leotards, cell phones, hair nets, Escalades and other essentials. They are also prohibited from cleaning up their property, painting or maintaining their homes (unless painting is done via spray can), learning to conjugate verbs, or eating non-fast foods. How would you like to live with these requirements/restrictions? Especially on everyone else’s dime?

I believe when the dollar falls and hyper-inflation sets in, the people on the dole will be hit hardest! They will be the first to be homeless and starving. That free ride is coming to a halt! Most of those americans are dumbed down beyond listening to the call of this country!!!
Our city started tearing down all the public housing about 8 years ago. A lot of these folks are now in the new, cheaply-built homes that came into our area 3 years ago. Everyone in them are on section 8, food stamps, etc. What gets me is they all have cell phones, fancy hair-dos, acrylic nails, nice cars and clothes. They have no clue they are about to be ‘PLAYED’ by the man at the top.
I’ve tried to talk to some of these low income neighbors, but they think I’m racists. When the hammer falls, I’ll be the one left standing here.

Were striving to get 100% adults and children on food stamps. When our new law, which will outlaw electricity by price, Cap and Trade, we will effectivly make the poor and lower middle class complete dependents on our subsidies. This will insure that the people, more like serfs than ever, will always vote for us. No matter if they know that it was us that clamped the slave braclets on them, they will still vote there color.

Let me correct myself almost not quite a hundred percent of the children on food stamps have only one parent. Yes, there are black and white familes with two parents on food stamps. It’s just that the women I knew who were single parents lost jobs; their kids would become sick ,and they had to take care of them. With two parents it is easier to juggle the needs of the children with the needs of the employer. It would not be surprising if many single mothers are on food stamps. This is not color issue.

I think you are being harsh on him.There are white people on food stamps for the most part for many of them it is temporary side effect of the economy. He is also correct that white poor people need as much attention as black poor people especially the widows ,divorcees ,and even women who made the mistake of having children out of marriage. If he is working hard , so what if he did not become a scholar. There is room in our society for long suffering hard workers. With the right training even they can become wealthy as long as the government is not allowed to steal money from them.

In actual numbers, more Whites receive food stamps than blacks, for the simple reason that there are more Whites than blacks in the USA, but the RATE for blacks is much higher. 90% of White children will not receive food stamps. The percentage is much lower for White children.

I have an urgent message for you, more important than any message you can hear. But God has provided a way for each to escape the lake of fire. He sent his Son Jesus(God manifest in the flesh-1 Timothy 3:16) who was conceived by a virgin by the Holy Spirit of God,lived a sinless life, and suffered a horrible death/shed blood and rose again 3 days later to take the penalty of YOUR sins so you dont have to pay for them in hell for eternity! He loved you so much which is why he did it! He is the only one to have fufilled the law perfectly(sinless) and paid the price of the entire world’s sins so that man could be saved on the merits of His perfection(see Romans 5:19). All you must do to be saved is BELIEVE in Him(trust in Him to save you as a sinner). You must admit your lost sinful condition to Him/that you’re worthy of hell, and ask Him to save you by placing complete trust in Jesus ALONE for salvation(an example in the Word of someone doing this- “And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.” Luke 18:13).It is not even partly by yourselves that you can be saved, but only by the merits of Jesus Christ!

That’s it the governement just wants you to depend on them. It is hard for a single parent. It is hard for parents period. Being a single mother I make WAY too much money to be on Food Stamps. When I know I could definetly use them sometimes. The elite does not want to help those who are helping themselves, they want you to need them. Most people don’t like to do without shoot I don’t like to either, but I’m not going to buy up unnecessary crap either. My whole family has to do without just to eat sometimes. I rather that though then having to live off the welfare! Which if I did live of welfare I probably could stay home with my kids and home school them, give them a better education then what they are getting in the public school. So, its really one or the other and since I cook a meal every night and sit at the dinner table and talk with my kids and help them when they need it I’d like to think I’m better off then some of the rich! Plus it helps to that I work for a wonderful company who is all about the family!! Not like some of these corporations I’ve worked for who can give a rats ass if your kid is sick!! Thank the Lord I get’im food stamps for da kids, all 14 of em. Corn dogs are gettin expensive, and KFC doesn’t take food stamp no more. HUD hooked me up with some section 8 housing, so now we have 2 bedrooms for the 14 kids. I git a welfare check at the post office and it helps pay the bills, like my red nail manycures, dipity doo for my rows, and my leapod leartods. The kids hustle on the block with the crack and stuff, it buys the Colt 45 malt 40 ouncers. Two of my youngins are in jail. TV says it costs government 43,000 dollars for each kid in jail, I never spent that much on im. When I visited there, I could smell alot of raw sewage at the beaches. The place really stunk worse than a West Virginny outhouse. Many people on htis site continue to insist that West Virginny is a wonderful state. Why then has it lost population every year for the last 20 years? If it is “Almost Heaven” you would think people would be kicking in the door trying to relocate there. I think it has something to do with the lack of adequate dental care and unions.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
