Swine flu: pregnant women told to stay home

PREGNANT women and parents with babies will be advised to avoid crowds and unnecessary journeys on public transport in an attempt to limit the effects of the swine flu virus on the most vulnerable.
The Department of Health will publish new guidelines on the National Health Service website today that emphasise the risk to pregnant women and young children.
The Royal College of Midwives and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists are recommending changes in lifestyle, including staying indoors when practical. Expectant mothers should also limit the movements of their other children so they do not bring the virus home.
Pregnant women are advised to avoid crowds where possible: “If they normally travel on the Tube or on crowded trains in rush hour they might want to leave later or earlier,” Sue Macdonald from the Royal College of Midwives said. “This is about being sensible and being aware of the risks.”

are you guys really guna publish every article written about swine flu? i see the significance of this article. i love this site, love AJ’s work, but you blame the corporate media for fearmongering and pushing the idea of this deadly swine flu, yet you seem to be doing the exact same thing. Only thing i wanna read about swine flu is when its PROVEN, not speculated, that it was man made.
Apart from that love your work lol.

By printing all these articles, you get an opportunity to see how the propoganda machine is working in this particular case. This site isn’t promoting fear mongering of the swine flu, but being fearful of the government’s attempts to make you fearful of the swine flu. It is a massive, global campaign designed to enrich the vaccination companies at the very least. At the worst, well; you can figure that one out I’m sure.

July 16th, 2009 – WHO Declares that countries are no longer required to report confirmed cases and deaths to the governing body.
July 17th, 2009 – CDC decides to follow WHO lead and will no longer report confirmed cases, nor deaths.
Come this fall, when no figures are available, you’ll still say this is “fear mongering” when you have no information provided by your lovely WHO and CDC to make informed decisions. Yes, after level 6 pandemic is declared, they tell us…..”you don’t need to know….TRUST US”?
Don’t be foolish people, its called being “Informed”….and we should all thank those that wish to keep us informed about this situation. Can’t even get that from our own health agencies anymore, what are they afraid of….ah yes….an Informed and Educated public….Irony at its finest!

but what is informing in this article? saying pregnant women should stay home? i totally agree with that, if there is even a chance that these women could become infected, and a SMALL chance that the babies health could become compromised, id tell them to stay home as well. I know if my wife was pregnant i wouldnt want her travelling around on public transport either. I know its all bulls---, i know its nowhere near as bad as it sounds, i know its not even really killing anybody, but like i said, if it were MY wife, id give her the same advice. This article to me is just taking up space, it really doesnt need to be here, it has nothing informative in it and really has no impact on anything, rather then to top up the number of swine flu articles on the front page. It is possible for this site to inform us without bombarding us. Eg. ONLY POST RELEVANT ARTICLES! Thats all im saying.

I dont know if this proves anything or not but , I do some yard work for a DFCS worker and yesterday i was talking to her and commented that i was thinking about letting my kids go back to school until i heard that the schools were going to be used as inoculation clinics and her reply was yes and you will half to take the inoculation unless you have allergic reaction to them.

Does this mean all vunerable people must take precautions? Not just pregnant woman. Like people with weakened immune systems and low T-cell and white blood cell counts?

I thought Obama was trying to reduce healthcare costs -instead he will be sending them to the moon. This mass vaccination attempt at controlling what is not more than a flu bug-will cost billions. It seems SillyBus has already protected the drug makers with a law that prevents lawsuits for damages from this vaccine as well as all the others. This is nonsense-and dangerous. We need a national revolt against dangerous vaccines and drugs- and fire everyone at the FDA, CDC, NIH including Sillybus – she is shill for the pharmas-what a dumb dame.
If they were trying to protect pregnant woman-why did they concoct this virus in a lab, infect a bunch of pigs in Mexico, and then cause an epidemic of piggy flu. No one is investigating how this all started-the Spanish Flu of 1819 mixed with the Avian Flu of 2007, mixed with the common flu bug? Not in a million years could this have happened in nature…this was a manufactured flu bug to sell vaccines.

Al they are doing is preparing to corner you with their threats of jail or quarantine if you refuse their shots, OK I’ll take your shots, Immediately after the politicians take theirs, but I want to see the lot numbers, and As soon as they get theirs, I’ll get mine……NOT!
What part of they want to KILL YOU don’t YOU GET? These people have been talking about this crap for fifty years (Of My life) or more.
Let the Politicians and Elite get their shots FIRST. If there is some left, give them another dose just to make sure our politicians are well taken care of.

I don’t think this is a bad idea but it would be better if they told you where the outbreaks were occurring rather than just making a blanket statement and sounding like fear mongering.
