Terrifying 57% Tax Looms For Highest Earners

Congressional plans to fund a massive health-care overhaul could have a job-killing effect on New York, creating a tax rate of nearly 60 percent for the state’s top earners and possibly pressuring small-business owners to shed workers.
New York’s top income bracket could reach as high as 57 percent — rates not seen in three decades — to pay for the massive health coverage proposed by House Democrats this week.
The top rate in New York City, home to many of the state’s wealthiest people, would be 58.68 percent, the Washington-based Tax Foundation said in a report yesterday.

That means New York’s top earners, small-business owners and most dynamic entrepreneurs will be facing new fees and penalties.
The $544 billion tax hike would violate one of President Obama’s ironclad campaign promises: No family will pay higher tax rates than they would have paid in the 1990s.

And let’s face it – taxes are good: they educated you, let you drive places, created the internet, NASA, computers etc etc.
The problem is, poor people pay too much, and the wealthy pay too little. That’s what’s wrong with tax – not the principle itself.

Without taxes there would be better private schools and private roads. Internet would have been there a few years later but more diverse and probably more effective. The purpose of NASA is still beyond me and computers would have been developed as well.

The internal factions, mostly race motivated, working to destroy the country from within for their own respective benefits should be rewarded with their own piece of the rock. Anglo America is finished for good and the anglo needs to recognize that and go on to forge their own new country. If you were in New York and these taxes came to you, your opinion would not be “so”. Keep in mind, unless you’re living off the government as a parasite, then you work for someone who makes more money than you do. If the business owner can make more profit, then he’s going to do so. A corporate board would be no different. Perhaps when you’re unemployed that will ring a bell in your head and make you realize class warfare benefits nobody.

Charge a sales tax on speculative stock trades. That will get them in the wallet. There’d be enough money to eliminate income tax!
Last year each barrel of oil was sold 27 times before it got to the end consumer. If all those trades were taxed, oil would have stayed around $70/bbl and the gov would have made a mint.
