Police have arrested two terror suspects after storming a KLM passenger plane at Cologne airport in Germany.
German commandos arrested the pair on board the plane minutes before it was due to take off for Amsterdam.
The suspects – a 23-year-old Somali, and a 24-year-old German citizen born in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu – wanted to carry out “holy war”, police said.

Officers said they found suicide notes in their homes.
German newspaper Bild said the two men had been under surveillance for months.
The jet was stormed at around 7am local time, police spokesman Frank Scheulen said.

Cologne Airport is operating normally, and there is no ongoing terror threat.
Officers said there was no evacuation of the area.
A spokesman for KLM said: “German police authorities removed two passengers from the plane.
