A Tesco shopper claims she was ordered to provide ID proving she was over 21 – to buy a slice of quiche.
Christine Cuddihy, 24, picked up a slice of freshly made cheese and onion tart costing 51p from the deli counter and took it to the till.
But she says she was stunned when the cashier refused to sell it to her because she ‘looked under 21′.
The till girl refused to back down and humiliated Christine was forced to produce her driving licence in order to make the purchase.
She said: ‘The girl told me: “You don’t look over 21. I need to see some proof of age.”
