As President Obama was in Great Britain being praised by the British monarchy for using the U.S. military to not only babysit but also expand its old empire, and as the relationship between the United States and its historic imperial master was being celebrated as “special”, back at home his administration was initiating events similar to those that helped ignite the American Revolution over two hundred years ago.
This week the Department of Justice threatened to blockade Texas by canceling flights going to and from the state if its legislature passed a bill that would prevent TSA agents from groping innocent passengers. The law would have made it a criminal act for security personnel to touch a person’s private areas without probable cause as a condition of travel or as a condition of entry into a public place. Despite being passed in the Texas House of Reps, because of the threat the bill was killed in the Senate.
Obviously the threat is an act of financial terrorism, and a telling reminder that the 10th Amendment is being held captive by a domineering Federal Government headed by a dictatorial executive branch and enabled by a castrated, codependent legislature, each overstepping their constitutional authorities in order to ram a police state control grid down the American peoples’ throats.
The paralyzing fear generated from the blockade threat was a knee-jerk reaction from state politicians who are used to pandering to those of higher political castes in order to further their own careers. Fearing controversy and attack from media windbags like those on MSNBC, they failed to realize that standing up to the White House on an issue as black and white and as bipartisan as this one (hardly anyone likes the TSA groping them or their children) could have actually knocked over the first domino in stopping the out control TSA dead in its tracks.
Let’s look at reality:
First of all, the assertion that the TSA is out of control is not an exaggeration. The idea of officers sticking their hands in an old lady’s pants to prevent terrorism is ridiculous on its face, especially since Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab–the underwear bomber who is used as the justification for all this–was turned in to the U.S. authorities by his father as a potential terrorist before the near bombing event even happened . He was allegedly on the “terror watch list” and was helped onto the plane by a guy in a suit, as witnessed by attorney Kurt Haskell , who was on the same flight that Abdulmutallab tried to blow up.
The Director of the National Counter terrorism Center , Michael E. Leiter, said when he was speaking to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on January 20, 2010: “I will tell you, that when people come to the country and they are on the watch list, it is because we have generally made the choice that we want them here in the country for some reason or another.”
Like a malignant tumor the agency is quickly invading more and more areas of American life. Openly there’s talk now of stationing the TSA at train stations and at malls. Recently the TSA was almost at a high school prom in Santa Fe, New Mexico. (Luckily the powers that be backed down following push back from citizens .)
Second of all, President Obama’s hypocrisy and rhetoric have made his administration more vulnerable in the war of public opinion. Right now Obama is overseas preaching about the supposed nobility of American wars by invoking “human rights” and “democracy” and condemning foreign leaders like Gadhafi for allegedly attacking their own people. If the President suddenly blockaded one of his own states over its exercising of a constitutional prerogative, the people of the United States and the rest of the world would see beyond a shadow of a doubt the clay feet on which Obama stands. Blockades are an exercise of force, so the question would then have to be asked– how far are you willing to go, Mr. President, in enforcing this blockade? Let’s say hypothetically that Texas had passed the bill and decided to allow private airlines operating there to fly in and out of the state at their own risk despite the blockade? Would Obama be prepared to arrest the pilots of these airlines? Shoot them down even?
Another question President Obama would have had to answer is how long he planned on carrying out his war against his own people if Texas didn’t back down?
The reality is that in order to carry out the threat, President Obama would have to become what he pretends to stand against. He is a coward who is only as strong as the hired muscle and media spin masters standing in front of him, planning his every movement and word. Such a nature is a prerequisite for anyone who aspires to gain the elevated status that he now enjoys, being shoved onto the American people by a carefully coordinated media campaign and put in office by a strategically controlled political process that seeks only to maintain continuity of agenda for the Anglo-American Empire. Blockading Texas could only succeed in putting Obama in the history books as the reincarnation of King George III, and further ignite the human will of Americans to stand up against the erosion of civil liberties and the continued dismantling of the U.S. Constitution, demonstrating to everyone how low our government is willing to sink in order to stamp out the voice of its people.
“Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God.”
If Texas had passed the anti-groping bill, the Obama administration would have been forced to show its true face– either as a despotic emperor overseeing the planned destruction of the American political system, or as a paper tiger backing away like a whimpering bully with a bloody nose.
