Well...I have to disagree with Alex and Jason.
Just because Peter challenges Alex' fundamental beliefs, does not mean that Alex is right just by fighting his way in.
All I hear is subjective argument that bends the contentc of Zeitgeist Ad. to an equivalent of what is known to be the NWO.
Only to serve in the fight to be right.
As I said before, this is the same argument people put up if they don't buy the claims of the 911 truth movement.
And one more thing: how do you believe evolution takes place?
How does a spider makes his web? Well it is physical and behavioural genetics.
But, you need the right environment before a spider can put a purposeful use to such behaviour.
That means that occurences in our environment can have direct impact on our genetics, and can trigger certain behaviour that is lasting over several generations.
Biological (genetic) adaptation to the environment is the way it works.
That means competition does not have to happen.
Also read about forms of altruism (the selfless gene).
Sorry to say, but Alex is blowing this out of proportion just to be right for its own sake.
Zeitgeist Ad. is not perfect and it does not claim to be, but it is interesting instead.
And venus is not just the fallen angel, but also the non-illuminati symbol that stands for harmony - harmony with the carrying capacity of the earth, and that is in principle a good thing.
Please stop bending information for your own fundamental subjective advantage.

Fiat currency bashers always seem to get stuck clinging to precious metals or else they turn into communists. Anyone else notice that? I don't think the problem is fiat, I think it's the douchebags supposedly in charge.

I wasn't really interested in zeitgeist, until alex was talking about it at the beginning of this episode. (I listen via podcast, so I am always a day behind, and my time is limited so I don't get to listen to the whole show) Nevertheless, I am compelled to provide the following response.

I went to take a peek at zeitgeist and I got 10 or so minutes in and easily realized there is a basic problem with the film. The film makes these immediate assumptions about Jesus. First is that he was the same "messiah" as everyone else that was supposedly a "messiah". Secondly, is that Jesus was born on December 25th.

Both are completely wrong.

In order to understand the details behind one of the most written about people prior to the printing press, it helps to talk to people whose main goal is to analyze ancient documents. Fortunately this was covered in Lee Strobel's book "The Case for the Real Christ". (wish I had a better source, but I don't. It is kind of biased, but it is rather complete when it comes to the different messiahs.)

The item about Jesus and December 25 is shown in the bible. If you read the story, you see this part about the shepherds being close to town. That's actually around the time of passover, because the shepherds and their flocks usually aren't near the towns and villages of that time. That's just how the way it was.

The whole christmas thing came into being when christianity reached ireland.

Now zeitgeist may make claims about the church being either pagan or whatever, and that might be accurate, but they totally need to get the whole story straight before getting to that point.

It's hard to take any documentary seriously, if it doesn't get its grounding information correct. In the case of zeitgeist, they got that stuff wrong. That places it something akin to agenda and propoganda, which is basically a waste of time. I am trying to decide if I will finish watching the documentary to see if they get other stuff incorrect or if I am just too put off by the errors to bother watching the rest of it.

Can anyone point me to the evidence that Jones refers to in rebutting the premise in Zeitgeist's opening section, with regards to the mythological origins of the main monotheistic religions?

As for Zeitgeist is Luciferian sun cult worship... sheer bullshit, and he cannot support this assertion. But I suppose he'll keep his Christian fan base content in their belief system...

Although Alex's take on Zeitgeist is generally dead-on, his understanding of Jiddu Krishnamurti leaves much to be desired. While it's true that he was indeed raised by Annie Besant and the Theosophical Society to be their 'World Teacher', Krishnamurti completely rejected the role they gave him and wanted nothing more to do with them from this point. I even have a recording of him making a public announcement of this.

If Alex read any of Krishnamurti's books he'd discover that unlike the New Age 'we're all one' garbage they tend to spout, Krishnamurti was concerned with personal development, the nurturing of genuine wisdom and the like.

A little more homework please, Mr Jones - don't undermine your own good analysis. Otherwise, spot on. And yes - Zeitgeist Addendum is not a pleasant piece of work.
