We already heard this story, as well as that CIA staffers and other agencies were eating their hats because of what they had done in Iran, as Khomenei "betrayed" them. Now, does still Khomenei maintain ties with the CIA? It would seem counter intuitive right now. I think he was more an opportunist, or smart planner, and knew how to recognize a chance to get in power and then wall up his position to maintain US forces at bay. Iran really deserves better. It keeps being fucked up on and on. That’s nothing new.
