Putting a price on that carbon is unlikely to be a long term solution. Industry and the financial sector needs tight regulation. I know that sounds un-Americal, but total deregulation was an experiment, and it has failed. It is time to move on. Perhaps if we do stop wasting resources on earth they will get less profits since they think they own it all. The government are hypocrites in that they are the main polluters and wasters with their huge mansions of empty space and their free jets and limos. In the old days everything had a use now its all disposable and loaded with useless byproducts that stick around as poisons for years. The answer is a simpler way of life. And the government should lead by example. Solar der its free energy shining down daily. Why are they such fools not to use the suns energy worldwide instead of trying to block it with chemicals in the clouds? Oh ya profits. The greedy scum have got to go. They have no right to say what is best for this planet after all they have done to harm it for profit. An example being all the left over still live warheads scattered around the war torn lands that they never cleaned up. They are like the money changers Jesus tossed from the temple for corrupting it.
