This
Depression could last for years. There are a multitude of problems occurring today, that could extend for years to come. The Emerging Student Loan Crisis”, kids are borrowing for their future at alarming rates. 50% of the students today are borrowing money for their education. Unemployment rates are standing at 19% today and growing, according to shadowstats.com. These poor kids honestly hope that an education will get them a job, it probably won’t. They should have calculated that there are literally MILLIONS of 25-70 year olds looking for employment, now, and more when they graduate.
College and universities will be flooded with new graduates looking for a job in a few years, all at the same time. This new generation of students will have more worries tomorrow then we have today. There’s always food stamps, at least you can pick up a macaroni dish with margarine and a glass of water.
It’s not enough that these kids will have to be inoculated with a rare concoction of fluids produced by pharmaceutical companies that will probably KILL (listen) them/us, anyway. (US Pledges 8.5 Billion for Swine Flu Shots) Of course this money will be coming from thin air produced by the common key stroke. Hey kids if you do live through the flu shot you have another bill to pay, by the way. (School Opening Flu Shots)

Banks will help you along the way guaranteed. Miss a few payments? Good luck getting a job. Companies are also checking your criminal record along with your credit history, blood type, drug and alcohol habits, job history and IQ. Its possible you won’t have access to a normal bank in the future. The government owned banks will have access to all your files, habits and history right there, when the teller pulls up the screen, how convenient!

Wake up kids get out of school, study to become a mechanic, shoe cobbler, farmer, appliance repair, tv repair, plumber, electrician, things that people need. Forget teachers, social workers, police (the military will take over that job),accountant etc.. You will NOT get a job, get OUT of college/university!

I agree that the article is abit immature and rantic. Although I do agree partially that the ever hyped persuance of a college degree is, for the most part, futile. If there are a scarce amount of jobs, and if just about anyone can get a loan for education, you’ll eventually end up with a job market flooded with skilled but unseasoned potential workers. Potential workers fresh from college will out number the amount of jobs available. So its simple math that many will have spent thousands of dollars on an education that is virtually useless in a country with dwindling job opportunities. At some point in the quite near future, education will not matter in obtaining a job, it will be a matter of who you know.

Of course it will last for years. An indicator you should look at is unemployment… that is why it is misquoted by the government. It’s closer to 20% now, than the 10% they are reporting. People don’t have jobs, they don’t buy shit… end of story. People with resources may be able to manuever successfully, if they are vultures. The rest of us are SOL unless we find a way to get off the grid ourselves, with little to no resources to help.

Read up on what the real Churchill was. He is a large part of the reason we are in the situation we are in today. If he had not pushed Germany into war things may have turned out much different.

Of course this depression will last for years. In fact, it won’t even be labeled a depression until it’s close to being over. Since media and politicians are only discussing the green shoots of recovery from the recession, it will be a very long time before they see this for what it is. My greatest concern is that, buying into the bull that government and conventional media spreads around, most people won’t recognize the disastrous impact of government intervention until it hits home for them personally; until they’ve lost jobs, their businesses have gone under; and/or they are arrested for voicing dissent.

Well, at least it will give some kids something to do and keep them off the streets. Maybe, just maybe, while they are there , they will discover that things are really out of whack. I also think that they better be studying something tangible and not into the “fine arts” major.

well, i tend to agree with this article more than not. reasons are two. first, i dropped out of a state college after attending there for 4.5 years and going two summers as well. I had straight A’s and only two B’s the entire time I was in school. I quit because I had been trying to get into a specific class for over a year and went to the Dean because I absolutely had to take this class before my last semester. However, the college refused to let me in the class whenever it was closed. I was 22 years old at the time and thought I might as well quit because I didn’t feel I should be in college at 23 because this is too old, in my opinion to be in school still. I quit college and got a minimum wage job. The universities are a money making scheme in all too many cases and they want to keep students there as long as possible, they don’t try to move kids through. The second reason I agree is that it is always taking longer and longer to find work. People get upset, doesn’t mean they are necessarily immature.
