The Government’s Argument for Deploying Troops in the U.S. is Ridiculous – Even On Its Own Terms

Everyone knows that deploying 20,000 troops on U.S. soil violates Posse Comitatus and the Constitution.
And everyone understands that staging troops within the U.S. to “help out with civil unrest and crowd control” increases the danger of overt martial law.
But no one is asking an obvious question: Does the government’s own excuse for deploying the troops make any sense?
As the Washington Post writes:
Before the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, dedicating 20,000 troops to domestic response — a nearly sevenfold increase in five years — “would have been extraordinary to the point of unbelievable,” Paul McHale, assistant defense secretary for homeland defense, said in remarks last month at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. But the realization that civilian authorities may be overwhelmed in a catastrophe prompted “a fundamental change in military culture,” he said.
But homeland defense is doing nothing to stop the creation of new terrorists or to prevent bad guys from attacking.

Remember, the war on terror is a hoax which is actually weakening national security (see this, this, this and this).
And the Department of Homeland Security, instead of protecting vulnerable targets, has instead randomly made up lists which include kangaroo centers, petting zoos and ice cream parlors as high-priority terrorist threats. And the administration is refusing to fill important positions at DHS so that our security can be protected.
The government is also wasting resources harassing reporters, children and other innocent American citizens instead of real terrorists (see this, this and this).
And – even if you somehow believe that the 9/11 Commission conducted an unbiased and thorough investigation and that the government was honest with the Commission (in which case, I have some swampland to sell you) – remember that the Commission made numerous recommendations on how to prevent future terrorist attacks, many of them simple and inexpensive to implement, but the Bush administration has has failed to do so (and see this and this). Moreover, they are actively blocking efforts to do so.
In other words, is the government arguing that – once the horse is out of the barn, and terrorists set off some weapons of mass destruction – then the troops will help, but the government will not lift a finger to prevent attacks in the first place?
If the government is really concerned about protecting U.S. citizens, it should:
(1) Not start any more imperial wars of conquest and stop torturing innocent people (which, for some strange reason, really pisses off the locals and may create real terrorists)
(2) Fund law enforcement efforts to locate and arrest bad guys
(3) Take real steps to secure our country by doing things like checking incoming cargo, protecting nuclear and other sensitive facilities, etc.
Deploying troops on U.S. soil violates the Constitution, moves us further down the road towards martial law, and is ridiculous – even judged on the basis of the government’s own arguments.

You’ve missed the point again. It doesn’t make sense, but it doesn’t matter as most of the population is waiting for the government to tell them it makes sense, once they do, it will make sense for them.

I wonder if these Troops will be trained to use the new microwave type weaponry here at home that was used so effectively in Iraq. In fact, top level sources indicate that it was this new weaponry that was actually responsible for the ’success’ which was attributed to the ‘Surge’. Bob Woodward himself all but admitted as much on live television, while refusing to give specifics on the Classified info. He did, however, state in no uncertain terms that it was NOT the ‘Surge’ which finally and authoritatively quelled the Iraqi insurgency. This weapons technology can be researched by anyone who’s curious under the designation of HAARP. Part of this technology is used in the weather control experiments we have been conducting for a long while now. Hence the mysterious Chemtrails. But there’s much more to it. The military industrial complex has finally begun making use of Tesla’s innovations in free energy. It seems only a matter of time until it is used to quell dissent among our own population. After all, we can be a troublesome lot. Sometimes the toxins in our vaccines, water, air, and food just don’t get the job done. Some of us still retain the brainpower and the will to resist. Fortunately they’ve planned for such contingencies as Food Riots and Panicked Bank Runs. Yep, it’s all been thought out by people smarter than you or I. It’s a good thing too. Just imagine how the US population is going to react when we find out our Soylent Green is tainted with Melamine!

Who is this “everyone” you speak of and where the hell are they? Eighty percent of the majority are still sucking on the MSM teat, they’re totally braindead Obamatons that couldn’t even articulate a rational, coherent sentence about what a Constitutional Republic is, let alone what Posse Comitatus even is, or more importantly why it’s in place and what makes it important.
This country has undertaken an UNBELIEVABLE paradigm shift inside the last two months, and I’m still stuck trying to convince people that Building 7 collapsing due to fire is a physical impossibility. The idiot public is going to get what it paid for, and God did it pay. Unfortunately we’re all going to reap the benefits of what sixty years of ungoverned corruption and an (effectively) unlimited black budget yields. As it stands today there is NO hope, none. We lost almost a year ago when we allowed Ron Paul to get badmouthed, belittled and banished from political debate. To everyone reading this and your families, good luck and may God bless you please. Considering the fact that a clear majority of Americans and international onlookers now realize that the US government has been behind a number of acts of terrorism both here at home and abroad, it is not all that difficult for us to understand that there is surely more fun stuff to follow. I remember back in my freshman year at college when our football team beat our chief rival in our annual game. It was a home game and our fans succumbed to mob mentality by storming the field after the victory (which is a no-no). Campus security couldn’t handle it so they made the brilliant decision to ask the ROTC cadets for help. The end result: people getting their faces bashed in, arms dislocated, and other injuries.

These lame excuses the government offers are their modus operandi. Its based on the fact that people need an excuse not to think and have been conditioned not to question what has been constructed as authority. They lie constantly. Many of you are still waiting for your moment of clarity. People trample Walmart employees to death and shoot each other at Toys “R” Us over CHRISTMAS SHOPPING DISCOUNTS. The Constitution is important, but when people have lost their civility because they have accepted the “free will” that evil has provided us, the practical application of The Constitution becomes impossible. We may be able to forgive each other for breaking one of the lesser 10 Commandments or the Deadly Sins and hope you heal and live better, but when you lose your patience to the point of causing mayhem, you become detestable and nobody cares if you live or die. That’s why it is said, “Patience is a Virtue”. I forget the exact year, but sometime in the ’90’s the news reported some Japanese foreign nationals were killed here in the United States because the hoodlums wanted their shiny chrome wheels. THEY WERE MURDERED BY MORONS FOR SOME STUPID WHEELS!!! This kind of news make front page headlines in the countries that have been offended by our “citizens”. We can’t even tell them if those particular scumbags even belonged here. We need to help the New World Order achieve the abortion of these scumbags, not threaten to fight our own troops. If you have not come full circle in your thinking yet about this, add the fact that the Russians are parked down in Hugo Chavez land and a homeland U.S. military presence is absolutely necessary. you are obviously basing your opinion on Catholic or similar doctrine. Contrary to your incomplete findings in the Bible’s Book of Daniel chapter 12, verse 8 & 9 Daniel says that he did not at all understand what he had seen as prophesy.
When Daniel made this very defining comment he is abruptly told that the words (understanding) was purposely made secret until the time of the end. As you can see by this the Bible does not teach that
nobody will know the time Christ will return, quite the contrary. The Bible teaches no one will know UNTIL the end time, a time marked by specific event.
Further on in Daniel 12:11 it states plain and simple that once the constant feature or (God’s Law) had been removed causing desolation (a scattering) within God’s Church, resulting in the great apostasy (falling away) there would be precisely1290 days. This validity is again reaffirmed throughout Mathew 24:

I think we all need to look at the idea of asking OUR Government officials straight up why they are allowing posse comitatius to happen in this country. People are nothing but cowards any more. They just lay down and say, oh well thats the way it has to be. No the Hell it doesn’t! When they take your kids away to fight there wars,and Haul you and me off to some Concentration camp to use us for there experiments, they’ll have to shoot me before i shoot them. This Government uses our tax dollars to control US! And they will eventually use yours and my kids to control us. What the hell is wrong with this picture? Something, Something inside you has to tell you this Just isn’t right! You say what are we going to do about it? Well our Forefathers stood up to it. They sacrificed there own lives to protect their own family’s! Society has been Nothing More then Brainwashed! People need to quit using the bible as a reference to justify an argument. First thing to do is to find out exactly how the bible came to be and why, then if you still stand by it, then honestly read it and see if it actually makes any sense.
Hint: It doesn’t.
As to the point of the article; The real question is “why” are they or do they “want” to, deploy troops on U.S. soil??? What civil unrest are they speaking of?? Or are they once again withholding or planning something that will create unrest?? The article should raise questions, not reactions.

Alex says whoever fires the first shot will be blamed for any ensuing mayhem. As long as you are in a defensive posture and you are not instigating anything, you are within your right. Our States are financially broke and the fracturing of the United States is a real possibility. I’m asking you; what other way is there to keep these United States together other than to Federalize as much as you can, even if it takes military troops? The last time this was a threat to the U.S. was the Civil War. Idiots in the South were convinced that States Rights concerning friggin SLAVERY were more important than maintaining the Union. The South was supported by foreign powers who wanted to see the United States dissolved. Like it or not there was no other choice than to override State sovereignty in favor of a higher ideal. Many well intentioned people died during that conflict all because they refused moral clarity. It was a thinking problem, all spurred on by the promotion of irrational fear. Listen to Alex just long enough to exhaust this fear and then reject it. Your going to need your wits to survive what may or may not be coming our way. When you see U.S. troops coming, either stay out of their way or help them do what they need to do. Those are our guys!!! It’s a jealous foreign power that wants to see us fight with each other. You can take that to the bank. There is nothing new under the Sun.

To the guy who failed history class – The Confederate States lawfully, civilly, and peacefully succeeded from the Union for tax reasons. Which is the same reason we started the Union in the first place, to free ourselves from over taxation from over seas.. The Southern commerce were unfairly taxed and targeted for over 3 decades. They succeeded from the Union and Lincoln called them a “rebellion” and said they posed a danger to the government. He never said how they posed a danger. Dear tearin, so you disagree with Lincoln that a nation divided cannot stand. Everybody complains about taxes and wants autonomy, but that doesn’t make weakening a strong central government right. If you want such autonomy and you think succession is a good idea, you must imagine how would we organize as a nation when we are attacked by a foreign enemy. If the Japanese attack Hawaii, why should people in Tennessee be concerned? Maybe the citizens of Tennessee should say “Well, I guess Hawaii has a big problem with the Japanese. Thank God I live in Tennessee.” See the Problem? A weak centralized government would make us ripe to be raided. A divided South would provide a safe haven for foreign invaders to finish the job and overthrow the North. The government doesn’t need to make sense when they tell you why they’re enslaving you. It just isn’t important to them to make sense. It has little bearing on the result. If they simply follow the formula above, it works.

Seal, you sound like we invented usuary. Once somebody starts a credit money system somewhere else, you’re forced to follow in order to fight fire with fire. If you don’t, you get conquered by the first guys who started it because they use it to build a military force based on a promise to pay. It’s impossible to beat unless you do the same. As for the righteousness of the South pre 1860, I doubt that it was righteous enough to explain the level of carnage it created. Studying 9/11 in only the beginning of the thought process. You may think you know everything about 9/11, but the fact remains that just after 9/11 British people cried for us and Palestinians cheered in the streets. The political reality really surfaced that day of who hates us and those who don’t. I never did anything to help an Englishman and never did anything to hurt a Palestinian. So why the contrast? Right or wrong, I guess we know who we can ultimately trust. Anyone shouting to the World “9/11 was an inside job” is only promoting a dangerous international hatred towards the innocent American people. And if 9/11 was an inside job, then we do really really need to be spying on Americans so they don’t do it again, right? So how the heck am I the problem when I tell you that it’s just not a good idea to shoot at U.S. or NATO troops? We’ve been stomping around in Europe all this time, I was there for 3 years and nobody ever shot at me. Now Russian or Chinese troops in the U.S. that admittedly would be the end, but those NATO troops are friends and the Russians are parked down in Venezuela and I’m not clear as to why except that the World is a Grand Chessboard.

Dear American Patriot and Justin Time,
I’m not trying to make enemies here in this forum, but there are some people who are scared to death and who may make a dire mistake in the name of their community. The Constitution is fine if you can pay for it. We are experiencing a financial reorganization that nobody, even the “Elite” don’t want to see get out of control. I read a book called the Truth in Money in college as an assignment from my Econ professor and I’ve been expecting this particular crisis just as many others have. I couldn’t imagine what it would look like except for total mob rule mayhem. During this transitional period where many will lose everything they had leveraged with credit, someone will have to manage massive crowds of desperate people. It doesn’t have to be viewed as some cataclysmic battle for Constitutional civil rights. If you are truely a patriot why do you feel that they’re coming after you? Answer: They’re not. And Justin Time, I wouldn’t care If some European Soldiers came over and had a romp in the woods with our American Girls; it’s normal and healthy. Heck I knew a German dude who had a thing for cute black girls and we had plenty of them over there. He was really glad about that and ended up marrying one of our girls. The fact that we were keeping the Soviets from taking the rest of his country made him really love us. Chill out everybody.

I belong to a gunsmithing group made up of many credible professional people.
One of our members is upset because he has learned that one of the jobs of our troops that are being deployed in our cities is that of a Sniper!
I’m not saying every one of them is being used has a Sniper but for some that will be one of their duties.
If there are riots, US military personal will be deployed as Snipers in US cities.
Think about it?
A few Snipers picking off the leaders of riots or protests, what do you think that will do to the people’s will to resist Tyranny?

Last night while transporting a PT in m squad, I had an epiphany. I have been reading several articles where many counties, cities and townships are having to lay-off officers due to short falls in budgets. I know see that the NWO is succeeding in their plan to put troops on the street. We will not have the law enforcement man power when all the chips fall, so in march the brigades, happy about or not.

Homeland Security is not protecting US grounds it has gone into EVERY big university and large Corporation since 9/11. We are not valuable as these places. Our rich university now looks like a military school and finished it’s underground tunnels over the summer. ALL OF THIS IS FOR CIVIL UNREST! Can you say protect thou CORPORATION! HOMELAND has also given our local police new toy vehicles out of sight right now but we have alot more I was told after seeing one. These toys have crowd control with county name on side with hose and weapons. To me we have ALOT going on under the current you can’t see and put together. These things are real!

Wow, I’m asking my fellow Americans not to start a bunch of crap with U.S troops and I’m called a traitor. A sniper may kill a few idiots in a marauding crowd, but the sheep herd stampede mentality some of you are promoting will kill thousands. I’m going with the lesser of two evils because God handed us an imperfect World and this event happens every so often. I’m speaking to rational people. My thread started with a response to Mac in the original prisonplanet story of 20,000 troops that came out on Monday where he stated that you should aim for the head because the bastards wear body armour. I don’t care what’s wrong with the economy and I’m willing to forgive Mac with a shadow of a doubt that he made a emotional and thoughtless, adrenalized comment, but we need to be more thoughtful than that. This infowar is not just one sided and it needs a moral code. If it is ruled by random fear, you’re going to be in the middle of a very confusing fight where the inexperienced will react to agitators and start something that they don’t understand. My God they’re our troops and this is their home, they’re going to need to be in control and that may look scary, but who can imagine the alternative? What does the alternative look like? Think on this, and don’t stop thinking. Fear is the mind killer.

How would you look at things if you were sent into destroy as many people as you could , and knew full well what you were doing fighting against them was totally wrong, what would you do. Although not surprising in my hometown which is a small Republican burg of the West Coast. I thought they might be National Guard, but I’m not sure. I heard they were getting dissolved just in time for the Army troops getting deployed here. Then again, I also thought most of our NG’s were doing revolving stints in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Walking through town in BDUs yet not armed.I’ll respect them according to thier actions.They have every right to shop and travel.Theday they travel down my drive armed they have 2 options.Either disarm and have a cup of coffee or get off my land.We won’t discuss the 3rd one.I never want to kill another soldier of this country, but if they play stormtrooper then they arn’t Americans anymore they have become robots and have to have thier plugs pulled.Alot of you seem to be forgetting that the OLDER and more experienced Vets are still here.And well even the retired soldiers outnumber them 10 to 1.So even if they forgot what thier duty is we have not.I don’t take kindly to L.E.O. s just showing up uninvited and without a damn good reason.They need to ask themselves what the body armor and light weapons will do for them when I open the gates and let My Bulls at them.Nothing like a bunch of 3/4 ton Raging beasts on the warpath.And that’s just for starters.
