Your understanding of economics is commendable.

Your lack of knowledge regarding the Gospel is not.

Stick to economics.

The 1992 Presidential Debates with Ross Perot were not dull. His warnings have now come true. Replace John McCain with Ron Paul. Add Ralph Nader and Cynthia McKinney. Barack Obama must earn his victory, not win by default.

A Marc Farber Economist on CNBC suggests that he has a much better solution than the current Paulson Plan. His proposal which he thinks is better than the Paulson plan is to use the 700 Billion to purchase 1 Million Homes in the US and Burn them down.

There’s no excuse for allowing the collapse of the U.S. economy to happen.

No deals, no amnesty, no pardons.

Pursue the Bush administration beyond January 20 until they are brought to justice.

The leading economists from Harvard, Yale, MIT, etc. have said this is a bad plan:

http://www.libertyvideos.com/2008/09/25/leading-economists-saying-700-billion-bailout-plan-is-a-bad-plan/

The sent a letter to a senator who was at the White House meeting saying the plan is a bad plan. Of course these politicians aren't going to listen to economists because politicians think they know more about the economy than economists.

Hey rich,

I'm not sure where you're from, but allow me to tell you where part of the problem lies. It's clear to me now when and why this started.

Sometime during the 80's and early 90's, there began a push to shut people up. It was happening at work, at school, on TV. There was a movement in place on 'positive thinking'. The area in which 'critical thinkers' occupied was beginning to shrink. Opinions were beginning to be stifled if the opinion wasn't well worded and flowery. A new language was developing with words and phrases that were to be used not only in the work place, but at home and school as well. 'Team player' was becoming a necessary attribute in the job interview. We were being dragged into rooms, made fat and happy with a complimentary buffet and the consultants went to work on us. They were singling out the rabblerousers, the ass kissers, and most importantly the compliant ones. In front of our own eyes, we were being manipulated (under threat of loss of livelyhoods) into thinking one certain way; and that's the way of a 'new' way of 'doing business'. If you did not fall into line, you were quickly corrected and put back in place.

Today, the program (in every sense of the word) is in place. When one makes any attempt to bring to light the current otrocities of "the" system, the peer reactions can be quite severe. "Why do you have to be so negative?", is one of the most frequently heard responses. Anoter typical response type includes taking cheap shots at the supposed 'offender'. If one complains about the system, they will generally be reminded of some personal shortcoming they have. Take a shot at the system and someone takes a shot at you. Personally, I have lost a position by reason of non-team play. I had a tendency to be very outspoken and generally offered sane solutions to problems that were presented by management. I guess that's a matter of opinion, BUT there wasn't one person that didn't see through the agenda of mangement....which was to manipulate the group into providing the predetermined solution that mangement was looking for. It was in itself a scam.

But the fact that there is an axe hanging over peoples' heads if they didn't comply is where I think much of the problem lies. People will continue to surrender their bodily fluids to the the leeches and walk around and utter phrases that have some sort of optomistic ring. Others will insist that it doesn't affect them directly. But for the most part, people in this country have been lulled into the belief that there ain't a damn thing they can do about anything. And when I tell them that's precisely what we have to do, they look at me like I just farted.

It's simple, do nothing. When your tax bill comes in, do nothing. When your insurance bill comes in, do nothing. When it's time to go to work, DO NOTHING! But it's true, and you're right. The people of this country are out to lunch, the walking dead, freakin' zombies who just feel so powerless and beat up, that they take it out on other people OR claim that there ain't a damn thing they can do.

The bottom line is that we were engineered to be this way. And unfortunatly, it won't be until we can't put food in our stomachs that the alarm will go off.

The good news is that there are increasing numbers of people speaking out...but it's still all talk. But if you ask me, it's already too late. Everything is in place to handle unruly crowds and a disgruntled public. In my opinion, we are being engineered into something else. Because by looks of things, we are being prodded and poked to make a move. And I think when that happens, we are really going to be shown who's boss. Our advantage is in our sheer numbers, but 'they' seem to be certain that the turnout will be relatively small. And they are probably right.
