When Clinton came to Pakistan – he made a televised speech – not at all sounding presidential or friendly – he was speaking as he was some kind of dictator. It looked like an anti-Hitler propaganda clips – Clinton was banging his fist on the desk and telling the people of Pakistan, if the people of Pakisan do not straighten out there would be consequences. Poor Pakistanis were expected to prostrate themselves before this god from the USA whose every word was to be heeded.
Everyone here expected it would be a friendly speech, smiling and saying things in an amicable manner – the kind of speech which he would make before the people of the USA. But this was not his country and does not get votes from here. The gist of the speech was that Pakistanis are scum and they should do what the USA says. That was a terrible representation of the USA. Probably Obama will come over and do the same thing – he should never be allowed to appear on TV – no one wants a repeat of Clinton’s speech. Bossing Pakistanis will get the USA nowhere.
