Vladimir Putin has again put the blame for the global financial crisis on the outgoing U.S. administration. But speaking during his annual televised Q&A session with the public, the Prime Minister said that Russia can weather the economic storm.
The session lasted for about three hours. The Russian Prime Minister and the leader of the most popular Russian political party, United Russia, covered a variety of issues ranging from the global financial crisis to relations with Europe and the United States to purely domestic topics.

‘The U.S. started the crisis, but we can weather it‘
Russian Prime Minster Vladimir Putin has again put the blame for the global financial crisis on the outgoing U.S. administration.
“The crisis started in the USA, there’s no need to prove it now. The authorities in that country mishandled their power and infected the world with the crisis,” he said.
But despite the trouble that all world economies face now, Russia’s performance in 2008 was good, Putin said. Inflation is expected to be just 1% higher than early estimates, while real incomes grew by 12.6%. The economy will grow by about 6.8% as compared to the estimated 7.5%.
Putin made an assurance that the country can whether the financial storm. He said all social initiatives the government have promised will be implemented, but he added Russia must be prepared for a difficult time.
“This will be a difficult period in the world economy and in ours too. We have to be morally, organisationally, financially and even politically ready for this,” the Prime Minister warned.
He added: “Russia has seen worse problems, after all, it is over 1000 years old.”
As an example of a worse crisis, the Prime Minister mentioned the 1990s, when “we faced problems of territorial integrity as well as the total disintegration of manufacture and the social sphere”.
Putin said that today Russia is in a completely different position. He believes it has a strong chance of overcoming the financial problems with minimal damage to the economy and the Russian people.
Adequate response to U.S. steps
Vladimir Putin said Russia will be responding adequately to any steps by the new U.S. administration.
“When a government changes in any country – even more so in a superpower like the U.S. – there is change. We expect the change to be positive,” he said.
Putin described how there were positive signs from Washington during the recent NATO summit in Brussels, where Georgia and Ukraine were not given the Membership Action Plan and Russia was invited to renew informal dialogue with the alliance.
And if Washington chooses not to push ahead with its plans for the anti-missile defence system in Europe, Russia will take adequate steps in response, Putin promised.
“We are told that Russian interests should be taken into account when building relations with it. If these words are not just hot air, if they are transformed into real policies, our reaction will certainly be adequate and our American partners will feel it at once,” Putin said.
Russian war ships under U.S. nose
Vladimir Putin stated Russia does not need to place its permanent military bases in Cuba and Venezuela.
“But we have agreed with Venezuela that our war ships can use its ports for refilling and replenishing their food supplies. We don’t have such an agreement with Cuba but I think their leadership won’t object,” he went on to say.
Then he added: “I wish to reveal a secret to you. When we announced that our war ships will go to Venezuela for joint exercises we got a lot of requests from other countries to use their ports for our ships”.

Well, just go ahead and read the comments above this one and you will get a taste of the Western mindset. Obviously mad cow disease has transformed the greater portion of these people into zombies. Basically I see no hope for the resurgence of the West because the strength of any country is predicated on the vitality and intelligence of the people. The ancient Romans knew that a fish always rots from the head down which exemplifies the heads of state in the Western world;eager to fill their pockets and willing to lie to their brain-dead people until the stench of betrayal becomes palatable to every one except those under the same roof. The Russian V.Putin, has stated publicly that he is one with his people and that his fate is that of the Russian citizens. We will see! but has any leader in the West made such a bold statement? No way baby. In the West its every man for himself, starting at the top.

Here is a video alex , that I edited and added infowars.com on the screen ,on an address to the nation by stephen harper on dec 3 2003.I posted it on Youtube to raise awareness. To this date Harper has rejected a stimulis package of 2 percent or 30 billion as recommended by the G 20 summit.
I notced that since the bailouts in the Usa have began they now total 8.3 trillion well its funny that harper has to this date refused a stimulis package from the banks . he has a minority government
and the 3 parties have turned on him because he has not introduced a stimulis package. I am demanding a referendum to determine who should be prime minister , in my opinion the 3 opposing parties will introduce a stimulis package. Parliment has been suspended until Jan 27 2009.I have a feeling harper is gone unless he introduces a stimulis package ! The only way i feel it could be stopped is if there was a referendum to allow him legitamacy to continue as Prime Minister. I know they can rig elections and pull a dealy plaza as well but what other options are there to stop this banking coup in canada.
Conservative party 143 seats
Liberal party 76 seats
Ndp 37 seats
Bloq Quebecois 50 seats 163 seats vs 143 seats conservative party

#6 Please show me documented evidence of Russia trying to take the US economy down. I never knew Russia was trying. Russia’s savings are 45% in the US dollar and Russia invests in USA. So they don’t have an interest in USA collapsing because Russia would be adversly affected in that situation. All tensions built up were from the current administration’s policies which weren’t very mutual with anyone. Thanks to guiding hand of PNAC.
#12 It is hardly worth starting a nuclear war over the comment of a wise-guy. I would never like to see a scenerio when my friends and family are on warships attacking America. I would hope America would never put their citizens in the same situation, but sometimes I fear they do have the will. Being peaceful is more nobel than puffing up our chests and warring. What do you think seperates us from the spineless politicians?
December 4th, 2008 at 11:39 pm
Putin’s position on ethnic tolerance reflects integrity and substance. A lot of his positions do. He sounds Canadian on almost every issue. Maybe it’s the same weather or latitude. Maybe it’s the hockey. Or the snow. Russia has come a long way, and they have Putin, Gorbachev, and many others to thank in their efforts to open their systems and adapt to the world today.
December 5th, 2008 at 2:34 am
haha i enjoy reading the comments and tho i agree with most and also agree with the zeitgeist movement and know my countrys Gov of the US is all bullshit but the people on top that run this slave ship n the US arent as dumb and slow as evryone seems to belive, russia and putin may seem like they big n tuff and as many call russia a bear, well US is man and we will slaughter russia and use them as a rug as we take over the world, hell if not u know the world is goin up n flames with the US including russia and Venezuala’s sea ports lmao
December 5th, 2008 at 3:09 am
Raymond why do you seem proud of the same people you said are a bunch of bull. I don’t believe the heads of the US government are dumb as in education wise, but dumb in believing they can secure the world in their interest unilaterally. Turning Russia into a rug sounds like reverse speak from some of Putin’s more flavored speaches when he just makes points… I don’t believe US could do so without destroying themselves and the rest of the world. So they might not be dumb, but they’re certainly crazy for believing in PNAC principles. Would you want to fight a war that will likely leave majority of earth’s inhabitants dead just so you can prove a point and lol? Bear Rugs or a Eagle feathered window orniments aren’t worth the cost.

raymond, I think you are biased without the facts to back up your point of view. It doesn’t matter who is the baddest kid on the block. The issues at hand are how to get out of this global mess before they (meaning the corporate elite and political entities) destroy are fricken planet and make most of it uninhabitable for living.
December 5th, 2008 at 4:57 am
just makin apoint lee that with all this goin down the baddest kid will think he so and try n show his muscles therefor causing global disaster trust me pro i am noway biased esspecially when it comes to the occult/corporate elite/political elite, n i have all my facts and point of veiws set jus where they need to be… i want what all of us people who have our eyes open want!! n its all goin to happen sooner then we all think..
December 5th, 2008 at 5:10 am
And im by far proud of what this world is becoming along with this country but as one of my favorite quotes says “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” brings me to this, while all of us including me sit here and read articals on events we all know or have a feeling is already bound to take place were not doing anything to help the mass thats still blind and unknowledgeable to everything around them nothings going to change and they will win, our kids, our grandchildren, there grandchildren will be slaves to how they see fit, and who knows how long thatll be. Now idk how but all of us who sit and wait for movies such as Endgame, Zeitgeist, Loose change all come out who sit and wait for alex jone’s radio show to come on to build us up we need to be thinking and helping eachother on how to start getting shit into gear, bcuz idk about all of you but i dont want to wait for WW3 to come about nor the worlds such as V for Vendetta, and Death Race which took place in. “Die on my feet rather then live on my knees!!!”
