Tremors may indicate risk of big California quake: journal

An increase in tremors deep under California’s San Andreas fault may be the harbinger of a major earthquake, according to a study out Friday in the journal Science.
Seismologist Robert Nadeau of the University of California at Berkeley reached this conclusion after analyzing tremors along a segment of the San Andreas Fault near Parkfield, California.

Nadeau found that after the 2003 6.5-magnitude San Simeon quake and the 2004 6.0-magnitude Parkfield quake — both located mid-way between San Francisco and Los Angeles — tremors became more frequent and underground stress increased at the end of a “locked segment” of the San Andreas fault.
A “locked segment” is as a portion of a fault that has not moved in years and is at high risk of a major earthquake.

This would actually be the best case scenario for many folks. First it gets rid of that whole “What are we going to do about California” problem and it will help with bringing property values up in Nevada and Arizona. The Belagio can offer a five star whale watching cruise on a new casino ship that sails every evening from the fountain.

So you don’t think earthquakes can be manipulated? How about this little fact. The last underground nuclear explosion was done around June 26, 1992. Then 2 days later the largest earthquake in 100 years in California hit a small town in Landers, CA. with a magnitude of 7.5 ,yes our government can produce earthquakes. By the way that was the last underground test taken before the treaty went into effect. And the boys in Nevada said “let’s really do a good one fella’s”. And they did. The quake killed on boy, a fireplace brick fell on his grape.

theres a page that shows earthquake activity, the Pacific basin, is having a lot of em, africa has a rift opened up 36 miles long 8 metres(24ft) wide. Couple of new volcanos popping up in pacific areas and alaska has one, and quakes too.
earth is having a magnetic flux, and the sun should be starting to begin flare activity sometime soon, it has been very quiet for longer than normal.300+ days I believe I read.

Nostradamus said there would be an earthquake in California in 2007.
Thing is, Nostradamus is consistently off by 2 years.
Scholars believe this is because he is counting from the date
of the actual birth of Christ (2 Alto-Domingus), which he knew by some supernatural power.
At any rate, this would make 2009 the correct year for his earthquake in California.
He also correctly predicted the world would be in a terrible economic depression
when the nuclear terrorism begins (no doubt, shortly).
