Joyce Lee Malcolm, author of Guns and Violence: The English Experience, was allowed to publish an article in the Wall Street Journal that is pro-gun (lite). Malcolm makes the case that gun control doesn’t put an end to violence and does not prevent massacres. Malcolm points to Great Britain and Australia, two countries where stricter gun control has led to more violence. This is from Malcolm’s book website:

Malcolm also offers a revealing comparison of the experience in England experience with that in the modern United States. Today Americans own some 200 million guns and have seen eight consecutive years of declining violence, while the English–prohibited from carrying weapons and limited in their right to self-defense have suffered a dramatic increase in rates of violent crime.
