TSA arrest sparks privacy debate over body scanners

PHOENIX — The arrest of a Miami TSA worker is fueling debate over whether the high tech full body scanners used in many airports nationwide are an invasion of privacy.

“I have no problem with them if it is for safety,” said one passenger flying out of Sky Harbor International.

“It goes too far,” said another.

Forty-four-year-old Rolando Neglin attacked a co-worker during a training exercise.  According to reports he was upset after walking through a new high-tech scanner one co-worker made a comment about the size of his penis. He faces a charge of aggravated assault.

TSA representative Suzanne Trevino tells ABC15 that the conduct of both employees is unacceptable.
