Two soldiers were shot, one fatally, outside a military recruiting center in Arkansas Monday and police said they swiftly captured a man suspected in the drive-by shooting.
“Right now we know very little about the suspect,” said Little Rock Arkansas police Lieutenant Terry Hastings.
The man “gave himself up without incident” after leading police on a brief chase, Hastings told CNN.
Police found an assault rifle and two bags in the backseat of his truck.
“We’ve asked our bomb squad to look at those packs to make sure we don’t have any explosive device in there,” he said. “Once we get those out, we’ll investigate this like any homicide.”
