“Times are so bad that I saw an Anglo day laborer standing outside Home Depot the other day.”
Except it’s true.
In the latest sign of the Las Vegas Valley’s economic free fall, U.S. citizens are starting to show up in the early mornings outside home improvement stores and plant nurseries across the Las Vegas Valley, jostling with illegal immigrants for a shot at a few hours of work.
Experts say the slow-starting but seemingly inexorable trend is occurring nationwide.
“It’s the equivalent of selling apples in the Great Depression,” said Harley Shaiken, chairman of the Center for Latin American studies at the University of California, Berkeley.

And what do you think Monster or Craig’s List are? Most of the Silicon Valley has been turned to contract labor, once highly paid positions now reduced to low-bidder contracts for 6 – 9 month periods. I stand on the street and hope someone on Monster will drive by and offer me a job – no different that driving through San Mateo where 50 guys hope to be picked up to schlep shingles up a hot rooftop. Of course this didn’t happen overnight; it was planned decades ago. The 401K for example, sounded good on paper, control your own retirement, but in fact made it so companies didn’t have to maintain or honor the pension funds that our grandfathers faught for through skull-breaking strikes on the piers of San Francisco. New the healthcare reform bill allows healthcare to be just as portable; companies will no longer be on the hook; employees will be in control of their healthcare plans – doesn’t that sound so promising? In the end, Amerika will be reduced to nothingness. We will stand there on the street, in the parking lots, on the job boards, with banners that say “I’m flat broke with no prospects” no longer in control of my destiny, willing to take anything. Meanwhile, the bureau of immegration (or whomever) will continue to turn out green-cards like crazy. Do you think they could see the employment situation and tell all of those technicians from India and China and eastern block countries, thanks but we don’t need you now, you can return home? No, they continue and continue. Because it was said long ago: the only thing I can control is labor. Well comrade, today they can.

if your still “in the closet”, now is the time to come out. you won’t have to stand in the parking lot with illegal beaners. you can sell blow jobs and butt sex to the overabundance of homosexuals out there. they have money too. just look at barney frank! that guy is a senator. and he has been known to pay for gay sex. its a real good money maker. and its less work than landscaping or construction.

You cannot achieve full employment in great part because “broadened and extended” unemployment “benefits” combined with raising the Federal minimum wage standards work at cross purposes to job creation. If the unemployed don’t have to work and the employers can’t afford the new wages….exactly what do you think will happen?

New jobs will be created soon once the national healthcare bill and the carbon-tax credit bill are both passed.
The new jobs will be not only in the technical fields but in the administration fields as well, because all these new programs require government workers in all the office buildings.
This is why the Democrats have been rushing to get these into place, so that new jobs will be forthcoming soon.
It is called a Green and Health Revolution – wake up Amerika – it’s for your own good!
And if you can’t stand up for progress, then at least get out of the way.

In the Palm Springs area illegal’s standing around the Home Depot’s were to unsightly for the rich snobs in there Lexus’s. So they passed a bill that taxpayers would pay for the brown illegals to be “housed” in a waiting area…like a shed. You know….out of sight, out of mind. So we paid for Taco and Poncho, holding a brown bag lunch, to wait for employment inside an airconditioned shed, with a water fountain and bathroom and chairs. Probably some reading material on the coffee tables too, (El Field and El Stream-o) you know like at the barbershop. All this was sneeked in on the property tax to be paid for. So if your white…and have to wait at the Home Depot for work…..at least you can rest at the shed that you paid for on your property tax. And you thought there was no upside on the Illegal Alien issue.

Nobody has any jobs because nobody has any money. When you pull the money out of circulation there is not enough to go around.
Everybody needs things all the time so if you want to get things you can’t afford then people need to start doing barter. Fiat money is a scam!
