UK ID Card Scheme Has Not Been Defeated
Déjà vu as mainstream media announces the demise of the identity card scheme for the umpteenth time

Headlines everywhere announced yesterday that the British government has been defeated on ID cards, and that a great victory has been won for civil liberties. The problem is that we have heard this several times before and it is simply not true.

However, if you read further than two paragraphs into the articles you discover the truth of the matter.
“The announcement means that the only people for whom it will be compulsory to have an identity card will be foreign citizens. However, the Government is to press ahead with creating a national identity register that, from 2011-12, will include the details of everyone who applies for a passport.” reports the London Times.
Next week will also see a debate on legislation that will seek to make it an offence to withhold details of a change of address or name from the government’s register.
Indeed, the government is actually accelerating the roll-out of identity cards in the UK.
As we have constantly highlighted, the threat is not the actual ID card itself, but the biometric database.
In essence, nothing has changed, the cards will still be introduced and the identity register will go ahead as planned.

The mainstream media began to promulgate the headlines yesterday after jumping on the comments of the new Home Secretary, Alan Johnson, who said that ID cards “will never be compulsory” for British citizens.
However, Johnson also said “There will be significant benefits to individuals from holding an identity card, which will become the most convenient, secure and affordable way of asserting identity in everyday life.”
This is key. Yes, the card will not be compulsory, you will have a choice. However, as soon as cash machines, supermarket checkouts and other everyday items are linked in with the ID card database, it will become virtually impossible to live without one.
Furthermore, if you wish to hold a passport, which you need in order to travel anywhere beyond the border, you will have to be entered into the ID database.
The government never openly admitted to the compulsory nature of the ID scheme in the first instance anyway. It was only via suppressed Whitehall papers, released under the Freedom of Information Act, that the agenda for compulsory uptake was ever discovered.
The government has been caught lying and misleading on the ID issue so frequently that it is now clear that anything they say about it cannot be trusted and is usually the exact opposite of the reality of the situation.
If this current defeat of the ID scheme all feels familiar, it’s because it is, this has all happened before, several times.
In January 2006, headlines around the country announced that ID cards had been defeated in The House of Lords.
In reality, the Lords simply held off the compulsory element of the scheme by voting for an amendment requiring a separate Act of Parliament be passed to make this so.
In the months that followed, the issue went back and fourth between the House of Commons and the House of Lords and was “defeated” no less than five times.
Now here we are again, three years down the line having the same endless debate.
It is clear that ID cards and the national biometric Database are part of a long term agenda that has been mapped out into the distant future by influential powerbrokers that will always hold sway with the government in the UK, whichever party it is represented by.
As proven time and time again by history, the attempt to erode the freedom of the people by government will never be “defeated”, it will only ever be held off by permanent vigilance and action to the contrary.

Freedom of religion, speech, the constitution, original bill of rights, all of these laws must be our stand by.
I wonder what our forefathers would think if they saw how we are reacting to this.
People like Alex are doing what they can, some of us are information gluttons, filling ourselves up until there is no more room left.
Lets do something, rise to the challenge, and stand up for whats right, and above all pray, pray that we will be delivered.

You are right in what you say but people should rally together and get rid of government as that is the only way that change can ever occur. The only problem is that most people have no idea that they are being brainwashed and manipulated (mostly through the news and other media) and that’s why they don’t do anything because they think that all is fine.They are oblivious to the game being played out around them.
Because people are intrinsically selfish, and the elitists (i.e the E ffluent) know this, it is virtually impossible to rally as they only care what happens to themselves on a day to day basis without ever questioning anything and being content with the status quo.

Something I find interesting about being British is the option we do not have to opt out. Alex has talked about how the American system is broken into two (Excuse my ignorance I am a p.o.h.m.) You are born with rights which are Sovereign to each person and are indivisable. The other part is man made law, and both these combined become their Constitution and Bill of rights. If the man made law interferes with the given laws of nature mans law becomes null and void.
The British authorities do not recognise natural law, i.e. Being forced to carry an I.D. card most definitely infringes upon rights we are born with, this must include Freedom and Liberty without persecution from the state in which we have no choice if we are part of that covenant or not.
Rousseau wrote on this, I would be happier in a state of nature, the British state has forgotten their man made Law is not superior to that which is unwritten (Our conscience) and is effective from the moment we are born onto this Earth.

It won’t make a difference. The U.K. goverment disregards all religious views that contradict what they believe is ‘for our own good’. They will continually try to appear pc and yet they will never take account of people’s religiouse and moral beliefs.
As one of those wacky jesus freaks I personally believe that the ID card is one step closer to the mark of the devil, and that in 20 – 50 years we will be forced to have chips implanted at birth in order to recieve education, health care etc.

i actually agree with the article. It wont be mandatory but it will be integrated into the market to where you will NEED one to do business. I don’t agree that (according to Watson’s Paranoia inducing article) SUPERMARKET checkouts will become associated with the ID Cards. That would be an ultimate abuse of ‘the market mimicking Governance’. Not a popular way to run the economy.
No, I think it’s a genuine case of ‘Cost Benefit Analysis’ & of reaction to Political Expediency that may be derailing the plan for the ID-Card. But otherwise my sentiments are by all means ’stay awares and stay awake’.
But right now the New (forced) Labour government are seeking to gain back the confidence of the public in a pre-general Election Rat Race. Whether they are stupid enough to lie to us even more and even again, this time to stay in power is a good question. Only time will tell.
Alternately I think that ‘Continuity of Government’ plans that are desirable for the SHADOW GOVERNMENT that is run out of the MoD by covert agents of Military Industrialism, I suggest, will guarantee that even if a CONSERVATIVE (I hate equally) government comes to power, (Wow! Yippee, Left Right, Left Right, 1234 , I’m in the Marine Corps) then the bunglings of the Labour Administration could be replaced by an allegedly anti-ID Card system (but actually PRO ID card system) by stealth originating out of Whitehall and the MoD, that will not be reliable or sturdy enough to stand-up to some tightening of National Security thinking.
How can their works ever be recognised as wholesome and reasonable if they are to achieve them through oppression, surveillance and or tyranny?

There is a part of me that feels rather glad the ID cards will be voluntary for the English and only those strange oxymoronic people known as ‘foreign nationals’ will be required to carry one. Hopefully word will get back to Bangladesh that they are not welcome!
Yes this is a genuine climbdown, and it follows successive climedowns on the reduction of the pilot programme in airports and many other things. The political tide is turning and no one can really hold it back since the size of the opposition is measured in tens of millions of people. I guess it’s time to get the champagne out for all those hardworking anti-ID card people. There is a smell of victory in the air. Lets not be so pessimistic and feel good a goal has been achieved. Onwards and upwards as they say.
That makes two personal sucsesses for me, the other being that the UKIP did “better than expected” yet again. The thing to remember is that hard work pays off.

first they will make it more and more costly to drive a car forcing people onto public transport . then they will make it impossible to travel on public transport without one. email your mp, email the home office. tell them we are on to them and we will never accept an i.d. card. i expect some kind of false flag attack,then the excuse “hey if people had i.d. cards this could never happen”. tell them we are watching them , tell them we are not fools. time is running out. boycot shops amd buissnes that demand i.d. stand outside there shops informing people, make leaflets. this will happen if people do nothing

I’ve watched an interview on CNN with Susan Malvo around 3:00pm on Monday, June 29th. Susan Malvo interviewed the lawyer, Attorney Edward Chernoff, who represents Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael’s physician. After reviewing the Susan Malvo interview with lawyer Edward Chernoff, I’M 100% CERTAIN, MICHAEL WAS MURDERED!!!
Here’s my evidence of a murder that may not only involve the physician but MANY MORE in an elaborate plot.
1. The lawyer said to Susan Malvo that Dr. Conrad Murray learned of Michael’s condition for about 30 minutes BEFORE HE MADE A CALL FOR HELP. The lawyer then rambled off several reasons. One of those reasons no LAN line phone in Michael’s room. What happened to CELL PHONES? Here’s another excuse: The doctor didn’t have Michael’s address to give a 911 dispatcher. Do you honestly believe a physician drives to see his patient and DOESN’T KNOW HIS ADDRESS, a physician that sometimes LIVED with his patient?
2. Susan Malvo asked again about not calling earlier and the lawyer responded that he was a heart doctor and he knows how to give CPR. By now, we know the good old doctor DID NOT KNOW HOW TO GIVE CPR because he gave him CPR on the BED, when everyone knows you give CPR on a hard surface. The 911 DISPATCHER had to tell the DOCTOR to put Michael on the floor. This is where he/they GOT TANGLED IN THEIR LIES and probably hadn’t thought about that when they called. Remember the old Colombo TV show? This was my Colombo moment. Why wouldn’t a CARDIOLOGIST have a Fibulator? Now you can use that ON THE BED.
3. I believe that company AEG IS ALSO INVOLVED. AEG lured Michael with this great concert package knowing he’s in debt. AEG put Michael in that home and was paying the rent. That was NOT Michael’s home. They set Michael up in the house WITH NO PHONES WORKING? AEG had the good ole Dr. Murray on THEIR PAYROLL. The attorney speaking to Susan Malvo said that AEG owes him over $300,000. Ironically Susan Malvo said the physician had $250,000 of DEBT. The doctor received $150,000 a month from AEG.
4. How did Michael meet the doctor? The lawyer claims he was Michael’s friend since 2006 when he met him in Vegas. The lawyer clams Michael’s son was sick in Vegas and someone referred a physician. But this physician DID NOT become Michael’s physician until MAY ’09 and he dies in June ’09. AEG claims Michael insisted on this physician for his tour. Why would Michael insist on a physician who only treated his son ONCE in Vegas back in 2006?
5. Who ever did this tested it in the media before it happened. The trial run for Michael’s murder was to plant stories that he was dying to get the public use to the thought. Stories in tabloids included “he’s dying from cancer.” “He has a terminal lung disease.” But here are the biggest examples.
a) In New Mexico several months ago, they tested their trial run ON RADIO.

“The National Enquirer reports:
FROM JANUARY 12, 2009: Michael Jackson is dying – and has only six months to live, PALS fear. ENQUIRER was told by sources that his health is deteriorating rapidly because of a crippling addiction to painkillers and alcohol.”
Six months later is JUNE. HOW THE HELL WOULD ANYONE KNOW A PERSON WILL DIE FROM PAINKILLERS AND ALCOHOL SIX MONTHS BEFORE IT HAPPENS?
6. The Coroner was to anxious to come out and say “No Foul Play” involved on the day after Michael died. Question: How would he KNOW THAT? Remember Anna Cole had people giving her prescriptions to die and those individuals were ARRESTED LATER. You can’t rule out foul play at this point
7. The LAPD, known as one of the most corrupt/unethical police departments in the country, returns to the home 2 DAYS AFTER TO PICKUP BAGS OF DRUGS/VILES/NEEDLES. The house was open for people to come and go. Why didn’t they take this out THE FIRST DAY? It was a PUBLICITY STUNT of the LAPD carrying out those bags for ALL THE TV CAMERAS AND THE PUBLC TO VIEW.
8. Lastly, Nurse/Nutritionist Cherilyn Lee comes on CNN on 6/30 with reports of Michael “begging” her, A NUTRITIONIST, who was let go 3 MONTHS, but happens to call him 1 week before he died, to request a HOSPITAL ADMINSTERED SLEEP AID. She said I told Michael he won’t wakeup. Anderson Cooper/360 literally cross examined her and asked why would Michael call you if he hadn’t talk to you in 3 months? She couldn’t answer that outside rambling on. She also said Michael owed her money. Michael calls someone he owes money for a powerful sleep aid? Why call a NUTRITIONIST who believed in HOLISTIC medicine?
Firpo Carr, a good friend of Michael’s, appeared on Headline News on 7/1 to say “Michael would NOT beg anyone…if you didn’t agree he moved on. Firpo Carr made a challenge that he wanted to debate the Nurse/Nutritionist on TV. I guarantee she will not appear because he will do what these reporters aren’t doing, REAL INVESTIGATE REPORTING. You have the mainstream media RUNNING with TABLOIDISH/UNCONFIRMED NEWS. I thought CNN was REAL INVESTIGATIVE but they’ve turned into Yellow Journalist.
9. Planting stories. A well circulated story a day after Michael died had Grace Rwaramba, who worked for Michael for 17 years (often called the kids Nanny), “pumped the King of Pop’s stomach who was often referred to as Michael’s kids “Nanny” , one of Michael’s dearest friends, so dear that many thought he married her, “often pumped the King of Pop’s stomach.”

While our friendship and challenges — as do all challenges, had challenges, he was loyal to the end. I cherish and honor his memory. I’m shocked, hurt, and deeply saddened by recent statements the press has attributed to me in particular, the outrageous and patently false claim that I routinely pumped his stomach after he had ingested a dangerous combination of drugs. The statements attributed to me confirm the worst in human tendencies to sensationalize tragedy and smear reputations for profits.”
Ironically the mainstream media DIDN’T RUN WITH THIS STORY THE NEXT MORNING, BUT THEY ELECTED TO RUN WITH THE NURSE/NUTRITIONIST OF MICHAEL BEGGING HER FOR DRUGS.
