UK.gov says: Regulate the internet

As unemployment looks set to soar in the months ahead, quangocrat and soon to be outgoing head of Ofcom Lord David Currie appears to have discovered a cunning plan to find jobs for tens of thousands. The time for regulating the internet is nigh – and Ofcom could be the body to do it.
In fairness, Lord Currie seems merely to be recognising a change in political direction. Until very recently, the government approach to internet content was mostly hands off. This is no longer so, as recent initiatives on terror, suicide and porn all indicate.
Answering questions from the floor at the Royal Television Society conference in London last month, Minister for Truth Andy Burnham said:
“The time has come for perhaps a different approach to the internet. I want to even up that see-saw, even up the regulation [imbalance] between the old and the new.”

The idea that the internet was “beyond legal reach” and a “space where governments can’t go” was no longer the case.
In his final annual lecture for Ofcom last week Lord Currie expressed a belief that tighter regulation was coming. He said: “Ask most legislators today and, where they think about it, they will say that period [of forbearance] is coming to an end.”
His comments are not so much a call for a new role for Ofcom as a recognition that such a role may be coming. A spokesperson for Ofcom added that decisions would need to be taken by the government, particularly as to where any new regulatory responsibility would lie.

Hologram, this is the sorriest excuse to deny this is going to happen. The puppets or front-men/women are maybe too dumb to regulate their own arses but the people behind the scenes, or even the ISP’s are definitely smart enough to legislate and implement a controlled internet, believe it.

This is purely because the Labour Party doesn’t like what people say about them online. They have successfully banned public protests and have stifled free speech, and now the place where it still lives, the web, is the next target Be sure: they want to shut down dissent like the true communists they are.

Wow! These political ‘tards are way too slow out of the blocks.
They’ve only just realized that the internet will be the key that dissolves their governmental systems. But they took too long. It’s too late for them to stop the inevitable. Very soon we will have our own economies and our own currencies operating outside their reach. With encryption and networking solutions we will circumvent their entire system in ways that their old minds can’t even grasp right now.
In a few generations people will look back on our governmental systems and their retarded ways and shake their heads the way we do when we look back at the feudalism and the medieval church.
Good-bye bankers. Good-bye political actors.

Sites like this will be the first to be blocked.
A friend of mine made an acute observation he said, “..too many people are waking up now, that’s the problem for them”.
The internet is now an invaluable source of information not being reported by the mainstream media, they want to stop that.
