U.S. Army To Buy $6 Million Of Riot Equipment
Stokes fears that troops will be used to quell civil insurrection in wake of economic crisis

The U.S. Army is to invest $6 million in riot equipment, a fact that has furthered fears that troops will be used inside the U.S. in order to quell any civil unrest resulting from the ongoing economic crisis.
The U.S. Army Contracting Agency, based at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, has a post on the Federal Business Opportunities website, requesting the equipment and has received several notices of interest from potential vendors.
The request titled “84–RIOT EQUIPMENT” outlines the need for hard polyethylene Shin and Chest Guards, shock absorbing Forearm Protectors, Interior leg brace supports as well as knee and ankle protectors.
The ACA asks that the equipment be able to “safely withstand a substantial blow… from non-ballistic weapons or flying debris”.
The Solicitation also states:
The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 453998 with a small business size standard of $6M. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids.
Interested vendors include Irish Brigade inc., manufacturers of hunting and safety gear with facilities located in the heart of Kansas City , Missouri. Federal and Military resource company MCLEARVISION, LLC is another interested party, as is Kentucky based U. S. CAVALRY STORE, INC.

In our article yesterday we highlighted the fact that Urban warfare training drills are taking place across the country as top analysts as well as officials predict a potential “summer of rage” across Europe and America as civil unrest from the economic fallout builds.
Are such drills really for the purpose of preparing troops for foreign combat zones? Undoubtedly – but other factors indicate that the drills may very well also be aimed at preparing troops for dealing with mass civil unrest as the economic crisis worsens.
There’s no question that U.S. authorities have been closely observing riots that have toppled governments in Iceland and Latvia and also threatened to do so in several other European countries. The fact that they have contingency plans in place to deal with such scenarios should they unfold in America cannot be disputed.
Indeed, before a media exposé forced them into a denial, Northcom revealed that one of the duties of at least 20,000 active duty troops that are being placed inside the United States would be dealing with “civil unrest and crowd control”.
The U.S. Army War College in November released a white paper called Known Unknowns: Unconventional ‘Strategic Shocks’ in Defense Strategy Development. The report warned that the military must be prepared for a “violent, strategic dislocation inside the United States,” which could be provoked by “unforeseen economic collapse,” “purposeful domestic resistance,” “pervasive public health emergencies” or “loss of functioning political and legal order.” The “widespread civil violence,” the document said, “would force the defense establishment to reorient priorities in extremis to defend basic domestic order and human security.”

I encourage all to read: Patriots Surviving the Coming Collapse by James Rawles. That book will open your mind to what COULD be coming and make you think differently about how to prepare.
ANY soldier (U.S. or otherwise) who fires on a sovereign citizen deserves be relieved of duty in whatever manner is justified. If they come for your guns, give them the bullets first! And no, as a trained soldier and marksman, I’m not kidding.

The number is not that off. We do not have 300m troops you could easily figure $100 worth of gear for 60k troops or $60 worth of gear for 100k troops which is what we have in Iraq. We do not have enough troops to hold every person they would most likely focus on High priority HQ locations/ gov cities. I am sure their are certain places that the will just let all hell break loose.

Actually I’m not selling any books and have nothing to gain by telling people about it. I was told about the book, read it and learned some things from it and have been telling others about it ever since. I would also recommend: America’s Financial Reckoning Day by Chuck Coppes. It was written in 2006 and about 1/3 of the predictions in the book have already happened.
I’m a Christian so I’m not too worried about “Doom and Gloom” but I’d rather be prepared than not. Have you watched the news lately? I would also recommend watching “Money as Debt”. Just google it. It’s a 48 minute video. Nothing wrong with getting educated, right? Peace!

Plus your assuming A. they don’t already have a stash of equipment and or will be buying more . Bottom line is 300 million won’t be in the streets , common sense dictates that , so do the math .

I would like to join this debate guys if you don’t mind. So they’rs buying a pile of riot gear. They’re already a fully (arguably the best) equiped army in the world. With the possible exception of Israel of course – All paid for with your tax dollars. If you really think that civil insurrection will be dealt with by the army then be thankful that they intend to use riot gear and not tanks and A-10’s.
Don’t get me wrong i want to see the NWO torn down as much as you guys but i think we can do without the distractions. If they intend to use riot gear then that’s good maybe they’re not too sure if GI joe will open fire on his fellow citizens but don’t get too cozy about that because we’ve seen it often enough here i the UK during the Irish troubles when during civil unrest agent provocateures were used to open fire on troops – trust me when i say – the troops won’t hesitate for a second to shoot back.

Also Adolf, (and yes I know that isn’t your name), what most people in Europe and even here in America don’t realize is that policemen, and military forces here are joining the rebellion. They don’t believe they should have to follow orders from our new “president”, because he has not proved his natural born citizenship. The man was born in Kenya, he is not a natural born citizen (which, Adolf, here you have to be in order to become President), and he usurped the power to become President. He is a sham, and our military knows that he is NOT their commander-in-chief. So, in closing, military will be fighting military, policemen will be fighting policemen. It isn’t solely us against them. It is the Patriots vs. the Loyalists…all over again. Except this time, mostly civil. If you were Russia, wouldn’t you love the opportunity to take over the US during an all out civil war?? It would be so easy. All I have to say is get right with the Lord, and prepare yourselves. The next 4 years is going to be complete chaos and turmoil.

The UK forces spent millions on riot equipment and has had it for years been used many times. Not once in the Mainland as i am aware. Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan To state a few.
If american troops were hurt or killed during a riot abroard and they did not have the equipment that might have saved them your attention would soon turn on the politicians for not suppyling them with the gear. How fickle your positions really are.

6 Million in riot gear seems to be a relatively small amount… for 300 million people, but that being said, 50% of those live off the system… and 50% of them MIGHT get pissed off to do a peaceful protest… and 1/3 of them might actually riot. so that’s what.. 150 then 75, then 25 million… so not really a dollar a piece of riot gear to put down 25 million that would actually riot…
Still, go USA, we actually still produce something… who the hell knew? *sarcasm people…look it up if you don’t understand it.*

If you actually look at the bid, the $6million figure is the revenue level that a bidder has to be below to be considered a “small business”.
Also note that the bid is for 100 shin guards, 100 forearm protectors and 100 chest protectors.
I wonder how many rioters 100 people can supress?
Besides, if they knew it was $6 million to buy, it wouldn’t be a “bid”, now would it?

This equipment seems to be for personnel protection. It’s a desperate measure to attract suckers from the masses of the employed who’ll be told that it’s safe to go up against the populace when they can take no more. If some of this money is going for microwave weapons (deathrays) or the like to use against Americans, the potential wielders of these weapons should know that their use may be discouraged by gruesomely torturing the weaponeers to death and filming their dying agony for broad public dissemination. Moral people will realize that such measures are warranted and necessary, and even Gandhi would applaud them.

The picture attached to this article is a scene I witnessed in So. Cal during the last wildfires on the main drag through my town. All twelve of the Humvee’s stopped at my local gas station to fuel up.
So I went inside and sternly warned them NOT to participate in any Un-Constitutional gun grabbing operations like in New Orleans. At the time some residents were VERY angry about not being able to get back to there homes and a revolt was brewing.
At first they were pretty shocked someone would call them out, however, a couple of them agreed and one even said, “yeh, that’s a good way to get shot in the face”.
Point is, they get it and the Republic will prevail. It will get messy, but the end result will be well worth it.
If anything I hope my suggestion was the topic of some interesting conversation.

A retraction on this article needs to be made. This is not a $6 million purchase. They are purchasing roughly 50 riot suits. Ft. Leavenworth is a prison. Prisons have riots, and 50 men suited-up in response to a riot at Leavenworth is not a big deal.
Go back and read the governments request more carefully. They are only saying that the definition of a small business it a business that has $6m per year in sales. If they have more than that, then they are no longer a small busines.

How much other kit has been bought through here that has not been used inside the USA? Stinks of scare mongering to me, Lets stop them buying bullets and guns too in case they use them as well.
