US plans to station diplomats in Iran for first time since 1979

The US plans to establish a diplomatic presence in Tehran for the first time in 30 years as part of a remarkable turnaround in policy by President George Bush.
The Guardian has learned that an announcement will be made in the next month to establish a US interests section – a halfway house to setting up a full embassy. The move will see US diplomats stationed in the country.
The news of the shift by Bush who has pursued a hawkish approach to Iran throughout his tenure comes at a critical time in US-Iranian relations. After weeks that have seen tensions rise with Israel conducting war games and Tehran carrying out long-range missile tests, a thaw appears to be under way.

The White House announced yesterday that William Burns, a senior state department official, is to be sent to Switzerland on Saturday to hear Tehran’s response to a European offer aimed at resolving the nuclear standoff.
Burns is to sit at the table with Iranian officials despite Bush repeatedly ruling out direct talks on the nuclear issue until Iran suspends its uranium enrichment programme, which is a possible first step on the way to a nuclear weapon capability.

very interesting that the u.s is stationing diplomats in iran again for the first time since 1979.could this be a precursor for an attack on iran bearing in mind what happened last time the events led to a revolution.mainstream news admits u.s special forces are operating in iran with al-cia-da,attacking sh’ite mosques,exploding car bombs and inciting sectarian violence.
with these american backed groups already in place they have an ideal oppertunity for a false flag on their own embassy once in place,which would be an event lauded by the mainstream media as an act of war and give the globalists a perfect excuse to attack iran with the majority support of the general public.to obvious?

I immediately thought “great, at least they’re going to appear diplomatic.” Then I realized what I was saying–there is no good to come from this, bush has no peaceful aims in iran.

Executive Order 12170 was issued by American president Jimmy Carter on 14 November 1979 during the Iran hostage crisis. This allowed the freezing of all Iranian assets held within the United States.
I found this on Wikipedia. I didn’t see anything about it being repealed.

How can mr bush just turn it around like that… OK after 5 years of wanting to go to war with iran and everything thats happened with the straight of homuz, after giving someone $400 million dollars to wage a covert war in iran… well it seems odd that he would befriend them now….

It was either Alex Jones or some blogger, I don’t remember who. Even though I can’t verify it, it seems highly probable that freemasonry has infested all levels of all govts. in the world. We can’t give ANY of them ANY benefit of the doubt, as their allegiance is to the brotherhood.

Some of the comments to this article reminded me of a quote by the late Egyptian Gamal Nasser. Perhaps those of you who can’t see the forest for the trees might stop asking your silly questions such as “why?” and instead put a little more effort into contemplating not only what it is you are asking but (more importantly) the subject (United States Foreign Policy) of the inquiry.

My guess it is due to information that Lindsay Williams didn’t fully disclose about Tehrans threat to flood the world with cheap oil by a certain date and only accept the euro in his lecture on the west coast in late 2007.

i have to say it goes counter to what i expected,however considering the immense negative critisizm directed at the bush admin maybe even they have to concede that to go to war would be economic suicide for them !
