Use of nuclear weapons more likely in future: US intelligence

The use of nuclear weapons will grow increasingly likely by 2025, US intelligence warned Thursday in a report on global trends that forecasts a tense, unstable world shadowed by war.
“The world of the near future will be subject to an increased likelihood of conflict over scarce resources, including food and water, and will be haunted by the persistence of rogue states and terrorist groups with greater access to nuclear weapons,” said the report.
“Widening gaps in birth rates and wealth-to-poverty ratios, and the uneven impact of climate change, could further exacerbate tensions.”
Called “Global Trends 2025 — a Transformed World,” the 121-page report was produced by the National Intelligence Council, a body of analysts from across the US intelligence community.

Officials said it was being briefed to the incoming administration of president-elect Barack Obama. A year in the making, it does not take into account the recent global financial crisis.
“In one sense, a bad sense, the pace of change that we are looking at in 2025 occurred more rapidly than we had anticipated,” said Thomas Fingar, deputy director of National Intelligence.

This is just scaremongering. Nuclear is over, and no one oligarchy or military power would ever use nuke again. i mean comon, its suicide.
Current weapons tech is so far beyond nuclear. they used the bomb in only one situation and never used it again after they realized it would spell the end of not only their enemy but themselves in the process. subsequent testing of nuclear was only to refine it and remove the permanency of the after effects, creating more refined and controlable superweapons.

Hey #1, so is this why Iran just produced their first nuke? Yes, WE can produce other weaponry beyond nuclear because the obscene (and secret) defense budget rapes the country of trillions of dollars. Other countries without such a budget – or those unwilling to divert such funding into defense, can simply resort to producing still very effective nukes.

the answer is simple
1. the world internet community gets together and forms an online nation
2. we spread the word
3. we follow the rules that really mean something (im not religous but all the good books got it right)
4. we expand
5, we become the Real World Order
6. we prosper, not just us, but everybody who joins us
7, we make viable and correct rules , and we are all answerable to each other in a matraxial structuer of non-power
8. we spread the word again and show how the truth really works
9, we prosper and live long….and humanity and civilisation goes to another level where we can really explore the meanings of life and the secrets of nature

Does anyone still listen to the US intelligence community?
And is it really appropriate to refer to this business as “intelligence?”

Ok, well here’s my forecast … we’ll see who gets it right. Alright, Obama takes the stage as fed. stooge, and attempts to completely socialize the late great U.S. of A. Next year the real depression hits a neighborhood near you, then come the crime tsunami’s and finally armed revolution. And while the government is busy trying to quell the uprising Russia along with various South American countries (Cuba, Venezuela to name a couple likely candidates) launches thermonuclear war on the embattled nation while our pants are down. California, Nevada, Florida and New York along with other hot targets are wiped off the face of the map. AmeriKa burns in the space of an hour, How will Russia attack? from the west they will invade through Alaska, from the east they will launch a naval attack crippling the east coast and decimating the majority of the population.

Well, that is just a prediction of mine and some others who agree on certain interpretations of prophecy(the thermonuclear attack part)… However I don’t think you all understand the way these people (the global elite) think. I’m here to tell you they are literally the spawn of Satan… There ultimate goal is eradication of human life and war on God. Americans will rise up in revolution because that is the true spirit of America regardless of who is at its reigns at any given time and eventually that spirit will act in line with its fate which is being a symbol of liberty to the world. That is what the elite hate about this country. They have their stooges in all the important positions so that when and if my prediction manifests the powers that be in America will not retaliate. It is mandatory that Americans either comply with global national consolidation (N.W.O.) and surrender our sovereignty, personal liberty’s and the constitutional laws which protect our rights, or become a casualty of tyrannical global conquest by the international banking cartels. If we don’t volunteer our complicity and if they cant squeeze it out of us by fabricated crises than they’ll eliminate the variable (America) altogether. America is the single biggest hurtle on the road to globalization and they will handle it with due tactical flexibility.
