Have you ever noticed how people keep getting influenza and colds? Do you know why? It’s because the high rate at which viruses replicate increases the amount of chance mutations and in this way the viruses very effectively adapt for survival. The existence of cough syrup proves natural selection. The same thing goes for insects. We are constantly having to develop new pesticides because insects adapt because of random chance mutations. The very intelligence that you want to attribute to some supernatural creator is itself the product of a flawed system of reproduction. You can thank chaos for this, not intelligent purposive creation.

Go to Google and watch “The Case For The Creator Part 6 & Part 7″ and watch Darwin’s theory about “natural selection” become obliterated.

Since you appear to be an atheist, you can see which side you are more in line with. You may not be a card-carrying member of the Communist Party, but the further you drift away from God and good, the higher the probability you will fall into the works of Satan, evil, etc. You may believe that morality comes from whatever one wishes it to be, and
this is called moral relativism, which I am sure you are aware, which I believe is where we started this whole dialogue. Truth is immutable, unchangable and inflexible. If man does not see the truth, or is uncomfortable with the truth, or plainly denies and rejects the truth, the truth still remains as it was, regardless of man’s difficulties.

I was reading a book on Catholic Purity, so as far as the convenient quotes, I made no extra effort to search for them. I really know little about Plato, but Voltaire and Robespierre were firmly entenched in the Left to varying degrees. You ignored them. Voltaire, if memory serves, though his writings fanned the flames of the Revolution in France, he still has concerns on his death bed about eternal bliss, and though his people may have prevented his seeing a priest, he still had a desire to have one present at his deathbed.

You’re good, Charlie, you can pick apart sentences with the best of them, but you’re still short on substance. And if you, Rob, VVic or anyone else think that I lump Cheney, Bushler and the rest as Christians who will find eternal bliss when they die, you are all grossly mistaken.

This time I’ll keep it short: There may be some kind of intelligent force behind creation (personally, I see no convincing evidence for this), but he/she/it is not the same being that the Bible describes (this I know, as do you).

Just when I happen to be reading a book that applies to all this and I found some truly, truly enlightening statements. For your edification and enjoyment:

I am starting to believe that, by the lack of serious rebuttal to my assertions, that I am just dealing with a few trolls.
