Video: Three Police Officers Stomp on Man After Tasing Him

Three police officers – Elson Morales, Joseph Lawlor and Clive Higgins – have been assigned to desk duty after a video (below) appeared on YouTube showing them repeatedly kicking and stomping an unidentified man whom they had already subdued with a stun gun in Bridgeport, Connecticut, reports the Associated Press.

The video is from May 2011, but was published on YouTube on Jan. 6, 2013.

Police Chief Joseph L. Gaudett Jr. told theAssociated Press: “I’m concerned by what I saw and ordered the Office of Internal Affairs to conduct an immediate, thorough and timely investigation. If violations are found, we will take action.”

In the video, a stun gun is heard being fired and a man falls to the ground at a park. Two officers stand over the motionless man and begin kicking him. A third officer drives up and attacks him.

It is not known who recorded or posted the video.
