Videos of Violent Police Training Appear as Mexico Awaits U.S. Aid

Videos showing Mexican police learning torture methods appeared on the Internet this week as the country, soon to receive hundreds of millions of dollars in U.S. anti-drug aid, is seeking to improve its human rights record.
The videos show officers in the city of Leon, about 150 miles northwest of Mexico City, forcing one of their colleagues to crawl through vomit and injecting carbonated water into the nose of another. An instructor, whose face can be seen in one video, barks out commands in English. Leon Police Chief Carlos Tornero told the Associated Press that the instructor is from a private U.S. security firm, but he declined to say which one.
“These are no more than training exercises for certain situations, but I want to stress that we are not showing people how to use these methods,” Tornero said.

The videos — first uncovered by a local newspaper, El Heraldo de León — ran repeatedly Tuesday on television stations here and prompted huge headlines in daily newspapers. La Jornada, a left-leaning Mexico City newspaper, declared, “Law enforcement in León teaches police to torture.”
Mexican and international human rights organizations expressed concern over the videos.

$400 MILLION dollars to completely corrupt government and police system. Yeah, thats money well spent. I AM SURE that will HELP the problem and NOT make it worse. And I am sure that the US government tracks EACH dollar that they spend and makes sure it goes to the right expenses.
Furthermore, I am SURE that this will REDUCE drugs, violent drug cartels and make the world a peechy-green and BEAUTIFUL place!
…. Yeah…. RIGHT!!! BWAAHHAHAHAHAH!!! I KILL ME!

Why are they expressing concern? Why aren’t they expressing outrage and anger? And since it’s Mexico, which pretty much has no laws anyway, why aren’t they expressing their outrage and anger with their guns? Moreover, why aren’t we doing the same?

Americans wont ever stand up en masse,just like most western countries wont do the same you know why?
it entails hardship and risk,it entails courage of conviction and the clarity to know what you are doing is right.
this generation has none of these qualities.
want proof? ask most young people what britney or brangelina is up to chances are they know,ask them how much debt their country is in to the rest of the world…you get my point right.We are lazy fat spoilt and ignorant of what really is important.i suspect its really too late but i wont stop trying to wake people up it human to try to stop a disaster you see coming even though you know you cant change its course

Let´s face it. Most European, Asian and American nations have Elite Police or Military squads that train in worst ways than this Mexican Police Unit. Why are we even surprised? And really 400 million will not do the trick as long as the US is the biggest consumer in the world and we do not educate ourselves to break off from this disease (drug consumption). The only way to end the drug problem is to eliminate either the producers or the consumers. The latter seems more realistic cause producers have a hold on every government in the world; Why? Because is the biggest business on earth.

Over 20,000 Americans are killed by drunk drivers each year, Millions of women are raped and abused from people who are drunk, Millions of children are abused by parents who drink alcohol, most of our jail population committed their crimes while drunk, ect…..
Alcohol is the worst drug to ever come to the shores of America. Marijuana and cocain account for less than 1% of crime in America. In fact, there is not 1 recorded incident of a violent crime or death attrubuted to Marijuana. Marijuana production in America is larger than corn & cotton combined.

Another $400,000,000 pissed away into private bank accounts and weapons that can/will be used anywhere in the future against anyone, including usa civilians. Yea, lets throw more weapons down there and put on a real good show for sheep like anything was really being done to eliminate the competition for the CIA drug running ops.
