This means that when the world economy fails, we will see anything from a total riot (like you stated in your example regarding Katrina) to revolution, in which a sane freedom loving person becomes our President. Due to President's Bush being stupid and trying to create a third front in the "war on terror," we likely will not see martial law. He thinks he is implementing a New World Order, but that order is an exact copy of the plan envisioned by his grandfather and will fail. There will not be a police force in the country that can keep oppressed people down because we will take up arms and the elite will be defeated. However, you will be happy to know that the bible doesn't predict the collapse of the world economy outside of some undiscovered code in the hebrew bible. What the bible does say is that Paul teaches us that the LOVE of Money is the root of all evil. This is exactly where we are in the world economy except that economy is teetering on the brink of destruction. This is exactly why Beijing isn't getting any tourist love ahead of the Olympics. Even if they still had a police state in a much better economy, I don't think I would go personally, but the entire area would be brimming with worldwide tourists. I have a question regarding the worst case scenario: if the economy just goes belly up and the majority of people are left jobless, unable to pay their bills, unable to purchase food and necessities, etc..., what exactly happens then? Does anyone have any insight as to what the banks will do with all the homes on my block that will be deemed "for sale"? Do they think that people aren't going to be living in these places? Does anyone believe the police are going to be performing neighborhood watch so to keep the homeless from living in empty homes? I know a lot of people here believe we'll all be "gathered up" and taken to camps but I'm skeptical (to say the least) of that particular scenario. When this is taken to its extreme it seems to be that the only ones with a home will be those in some type of political or security related profession to which I would say they ain't going to be spending much time at home anyway while they "attempt" crowd control. It's much more likely to look like the scenes during hurricane Katrina when a majority of the "officials" packed up their shit and left. I wouldn't want to be a cop or city official or even some clandestine CIA type in my neighborhood come hell or high water, especially when this becomes a "national" crisis from coast to coast and everyone's courage is beyond normalcy due to the power in numbers effect on the mind.
