The same man who accused talk radio and cable news shows of inciting violence by using vitriol had no hesitation in labeling proponents of Arizona’s illegal immigration law as “racist”. Ironically, he made the comment on a vitriolic cable news show.

Even though the chief law enforcement official in Pima County has no evidence linking political rhetoric to the suspected shooter’s motive, he still said there was “no doubt in my mind that when a number of people night and day try to inflame the public, that there’s going to be some consequences from doing that and I think it’s irresponsible to do that.”
