  • ‘War on terror’ a generational conflict, Bush says

    Thursday, Dec 18, 2008

The United States’ “war on terror” will continue for many years to come, President George W. Bush said Wednesday in a speech on his national security legacy.

Bush, who leaves office on January 20, compared the fight against terror to the Cold War of the post-World War II years.

“Like the struggle against Communism during the Cold War, the struggle against terror will be a generational conflict,” Bush told military officers at the US Army War College.

That struggle is “one that will continue long beyond my presidency,” Bush said.

    (ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW)

Bush said his administration is leaving behind “the institutions and tools our country needs to prevail in the long struggle ahead.

“We’ll leave behind a vastly upgraded network of homeland defenses. Federal, state and local law enforcement officers are working together more closely than ever before. The number of Border Patrol agents has doubled since 2001,” Bush said.

Yes, the terror will undoubtedly continue for the rest of our natural lives… Only thing is, the Cowards That Be have taken over that racket from OBL.

It’s a Big Boy’s Game now… Oh, wait. It always WAS.

I have to agree that terror is generational…grand pappy prescott bush was caught and stopped from ‘trading with the enemy ‘Germany in ww2,daddy bush was head of the cia and el presidente and boy bush well we all know that saga, come on Jeb you can do more than rig elections for your family, how about a run at the presidency ,the Clinton’s are giving it a whirl.Plant those sweet potatoes/tomatoes you’ll be glad that you did ,a potato in the hand is worth more than bush’s word.

    4. caleb Says:

yeah, too bad the only terrorists live in the white house, those who continue to turn on their allies, like saddam and the taliban and kill them, robbing and looting them of every resource they have, instead of actually making the lives better for their people. america just continually robs, rapes and pillages countries, expects the democracies(dictatorships, learn your history) they allign with oil tycoons to just bow, while the people are virtually slaves. And when people rise against this tyranny they are terrorists?
The war on terrorism will continue alright, it is the new creation of americas vicious cycle of hatred towards the world which has been going on since 1946(learn your history).

Yes, what burgeoning young police state would be complete without increased militarization and spying powers for government. I feel safer already.

Y’know, even if we were to assume against all the mounds of evidence that 9/11 wasn’t a false flag operation, I’m still amazed that the clowns in mainstream media are able to read a quote like the one above and actually AGREE that turning the country into a fascist police state was REALLY the best way to go to keep us “safe”… Not only does it defy EVERYTHING in the Constitution, but it is very obviously antithetical to the definition of liberty, which they could find for free in any online dictionary. This is how every once-successful Republic or Democracy in HISTORY has gone out. These people apparently read about the fall of the Roman Empire and come out thinking that overextending your resources was a good stategy for preserving a government… Maybe we need to get the pundits dictionaries, and THEN give them copies of the Constitution to read. But then we’d still have to figure out a way to give them spines and an understanding of basic human decency… The crap they can spin a quote like that into in the face of all fact, truth, and logic is simply amazing.

and we know what the “war on communism” was about, f--- all, yank pricks invented this s--- to kill innocents whilst prancing around as saviours. when will you lethargic slobs wake up? are you still watching re-runs of “friends”?

    8. Cops and Robbers Says:

      Message to Alex
I fully believe that 9-11 was an inside job and etc.
My concern is not when they turn ultimate tyranny
on us but will congress take responsible resolve
after Americans say we’ve had enough and we
are not going to take this any more.

    9. Artyom Says:

“War on Terror” is not a generational war. It is a governmental war on their own people. Never have so many freedoms been taken away in such a short little time. And it is obvious to everyone I know here in Europe that 9-11 was an inside job. I don’t agree with every plot on this site, but this is beyond doubt.
And Flatearther, you are right about potatoes and tomatoes… Everyone should resurrect Victory Gardens, a patriotic call, in America, from times of the Great Patriotic War. Also better do it before Monsanto has a say it…. Keep your gardens going every year and keep pure strains of garden produce. No GMO’s!!! Keep your family’s fed!!! It has been a tradition in Russia for ages! We have our Dacha’s (summer homes), that are out in the country with big gardens. We leave the city on weekend and during summer vacations and work our gardens with the family. The food is AMAZING!!!! You all won’t regret it, if you start gardens. I read that you have organizations for homeowners… I think they need to shove it if they bother you about your gardens. This spring is the time to plant!!! Think of the money you’ll save and the improvement of your health.

What hog wash! Bush you are a war criminal leaving behind a legacy of depleted uranium polluting the world, prison ships, rendition flights, a 9/11 that you generated, torture in Abu Ghareb, Gitmo, and a wrecked economy.

You are the worst president ever! The “war on terror” can be stopped tomorrow but the pollution you left around and did not clean up per Army regulations and U.S. law will last generations.

    14. vein Says:

Bush gives speech identical in form to those from Hitler, Stalin, and Mao. Sorry, guys, where is the surprise or news here. Yes, the demons that pull Bush’s (and ‘house slave’ Obama’s) strings wish to state that ***EVERTHING*** must be sacrificed to “THE CAUSE”.

“THE CAUSE” is why you must suffer. “THE CAUSE” is why your life must be nothing but pain. “THE CAUSE” is why you must invade nations, and bring genocide to their people. “THE CAUSE” is why you must watch your peace-time economy collapse. “THE CAUSE” is why you must raise your children to be brainless soldiers. “THE CAUSE” is why you must worship your masters without question. “THE CAUSE” is why you don’t matter, have never mattered, and will never matter. “THE CAUSE” is why you are going to hell.

And as with Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and the endless monsters of History, it doesn’t matter in the slightest what “THE CAUSE” actual is. Why? Because “THE CAUSE” is not real now in any meaningful sense, and never was for these other monsters either. “THE CAUSE” is just a noise that the sheep hear and respond to.

Do yourselves a favour people. I know most of you don’t read, but on this occasion make the effort. Get a copy of 1984, and read it. NO- DO NOT THINK IT IS SO WELL KNOWN THAT YOU ALREADY KNOW ITS CONTENT BY WATCHING A FILM OR TV PRODUCTION. Read the actual book. It was written by a man after he became acquainted with the methods being deployed by the monsters of our time. Amazingly, it directly deals with the state creation of pseudo-terrorists, a key part of the book that is usually removed when the book is filmed or recorded.

We are in dark, dark times, but the blackness to come will make even now seem like high noon on a cloudless day.

    15. Christian Says:

Be sure to thank him for his great work before he resigns.
“Well thank you mr. Bush for letting us inherit this truly great and noble war. All the children of the world truly thanks you for this wonderful legacy. THANK YOU! Now let me kiss your feet you enlightened and wise Leader of the free world”

HE’S JUST SO FULL OF HIMSELF ITS DISQUSTING!!!

    16. Eric Blair Says:

Vein, I agree with your spot on thoughts about 1984, having read, at one time Orwell’s connection to (I believe) Cecil Rhodes roundtable and other similar organizations, but have been unable to find anything online. Any leads, I’ll archive this time.

    17. flatearther Says:

Eric Blair i have recently re-read “1984″ my school initially had me read it in grade 7,but i realised that i had probably forgotten a lot of it and only taken in what a 12 year old could at the time,i got my copy from the local library, and had to get it back in time for the school kids in town who were about to read it .George Orwell was working at bbc radio during the 2nd world war in a propaganda department thats aim was to convince women that the leftover offal that they received during war rationing was as good as the meat that they had before-more nutritious,in this capacity he hob-lobed with the other propaganda departments and gained more in site as to the workings of governments. His dad was also high up in the elite circles >another interesting book that ties onto the next phase of this planet is “brave new World’ Adoux Huxley the ideas are predictive programming and spot on for now,but it is poorly put together, even so a must read to see through what is coming down the pike.p.s. not too sure about the spelling of this authors first name.

(Strange grin) I …I can’t tell, you’ve got them up your @#$*… I want to see 5 fingers really.

Turn the machine up to 4 please.

Horrible ripping sound is heard. Winston is torn in half.

      I said 4 you idiot.

I’m sorry sir, I thought you meant 5.

    19. Terry Says:

The only generational conflict I see is what the Bush family has done.

    20. Sense Says:

Our Constitution Is Not Inspired By Divinity

It’s striking that so few truly understand the basis of our Constitution. Arguments that the Constitution is somehow a divinely-inspired document show either a lack of education as to the ideas and principles behind the tenets of the document, or a deliberate attempt to pervert the true intent of the philosophies behind the Constitution. In no way are the Constitution or the Bill of Rights Christian documents. The philosophical underpinnings of each of these documents stem from Locke and Cooke, primarily Locke.
