  • Well-Known Financial Analyst Says PPT Manipulates the S&P 500

    George Washington’s Blog
    Sunday, Nov 23, 2008

Frequent Bloomberg and CNBC commentator Scott Nations, President of Fortress Trading – a Chicago-based firm that trades options and futures – said in a CNBC interview that the PPT (Plunge Protection Team) manipulates the S&P 500.

This isn’t big news, but it is impressive that Nations discussed the PPT on a mainstream news program.

    1. Alex (not Jones) Says:

They’ve been doing this for years, now finally the MSM notices?

    2. jason Says:

I wonder if all those other financial people and hosts that bashed Scott Nations are totally blind and stupid morons or if they just play one on TV. The amount of denial present when the existance of the PPT is public and its mandate and mission is known, frankly, is too much. If I worked in the industry I would make it my business to know this information. The fact that a host on TV is asking for citations…like he cannot go and do his own homework….speaks to the “news skills” of this news reporter and the “financial skills” of these “tow the line” ass-wipes who are going to smile and laugh their way into the swirling toilet.

    3. Blunt Force Trauma Says:

I’m surprised that the lamestream media did notice. They’ve always contended that the PPT was a conspiracy theory. But it was created in 1987. They have such short memories or it is just blatant ignorance. Not sure which. Probably both.

    4. BrandonFW Says:

CNBC is a conspiracy theory show me some proof.

    5. Alex (not Jones) Says:

Bernake admitted to the existence of the PPT in a hearing while answering a question asked by (of course – who else) Ron Paul.
Bernake agreed there should be more disclose on their activities. – yeah right you crook, where is it?
