According to the US Federal Reserve (OWNERS of the FED HERE)
(A Private Company) 900 BILLION in currency exists in this world today. Thats only about $3000 for every man woman and child in the US. Banks do NOT hold CASH. ( you and 10 of your friends go to the bank and ask for $2000 each, see what happens.) All the money is outside of the US. That’s 1/2 outside of the country.! 450 billion. The other 450 BILLION is in drug dealing, the underground economy, and cash in mattresses etc. plus $1500 in your pocket.
Now the US owes over 10 trillion dollars ( so the government states) but probably in excess of 57 TRILLION Dollars. If we only have 900 BILLION dollars in CURRENCY how can the Government state that we owe 10 trillion?

Not to diminish the point of the article, but the “Current Account Balance” figure on the link does NOT represents cash deposits. It represents the trade deficit. From the “definitions” page:
“This entry records a country’s net trade in goods and services, plus net earnings from rents, interest, profits, and dividends, and net transfer payments (such as pension funds and worker remittances) to and from the rest of the world during the period specified. This is why I have my doubts about inflation. They’ve created a system in which dollars are quite rare. If there was a run on the banks, the system would freeze up in no time at all. There are few dollars to available to withdraw. Everyone still needs dollars to pay their debts. Isn’t this a recipe for a deflationary crash?
How can you cause inflation by issuing instruments of debt, namely the dollar? There is a dollar sink of hundred of trillions in leveraged positions. Won’t this black hole just consume excess dollar borrowed. It seems the bankers have outsmarted everyone.
Maybe after years of study, I just don’t understand this game.

It distorts perceptions of value. Most businessmen are just trying to support their lifestyles, and most will hang like fish at the outlet of a powerplant: there’s always warm water there. We have contractors that see these unlimited contractual oppurtunities with a constant source of funds, they end up paying $2500 for a toilet seat. This trickles down.

This article is a little misleading. The point it is trying to make, is that paper money somehow hold real value as oppose to electronic money. The truth is both don’t worth shit, unless they are backed by something valuable like gold, or real strong manufacturing base. Money by itself is just a transaction tool for goods and services. In terms of getting goods and services, it doesn’t matter if you are paying with paper or bits of electronic data, as long as you are getting these goods and services. So the only downside of electronic transaction is the loos of anonymity. If you buy something with credit card, the bank knows about it. But other than that, saying that paper money is somehow more valuable than their electronic equivalent is absurd.

If you generate a check at work your in the “plus,” side , if you spend all of it then borrow more on your credit card you are in the MINUS SIDE. You therefore you created NOTHING BUT DEBT. Do that day after day and you can NEVER PAY IT BACK! The US generates money that does NOT EXIST. It has no back up, no repayment schedule, no collateral. They electronically make up money. It has NO SECURITY FOR THE LOAN. It is not real CURRENCY. It is AIR. get it? How do you pay back air with air? WITH AIR? Where did they get the 2 trillion dollar “CURRENCY”? You know the real stuff! i went to my bank once and cleaned them out. The banks do not hold much cash and if the cash amount is higher than the quota for the day then it gets removed. Cashiers are always annoyed by this policy. This is why you have to order large amounts a few days in advance.
Most of the money was never even created in paper form as it is only created on computer screens. It would not surprise me if the paper money supply was shrinking fast.
What i do is keep as many coins as possible. In the US they are minted by government and not the fed. I would use only coins when paying for goods once you have a large stash. At least they have metalic value instead of paper.
I have also noticed than coins have been getting smaller and thinner. The UK and New Zealand ones have anyway.

Some of the more recent Economics textbooks have a good explanation:
“If a business owner sets up an account with a bank and makes a deposit with the bank, he can take out a loan and use that to expand the business. In such a scheme, the bank is said to have doubled the value of its assets. If the bank uses that deposit to fund additional loans, it is said to have tripled the value of its assets.”
It’s no surprise the banks don’t want to lend each other.
If all our money was really invested into speculative housing development, then wouldn’t the money have gone into construction worker wages and building materials (ie. Mexico?)

The United States has been bankrupt since at least 1933 as evidenced by the call in of gold coinage and is subsequent revaluation from 20 to 35 dollars per Oz, along with the abrogation of the gold standard. We are moving from receivership into chapter 7, which is a foreclosure. This has been in the works for quite some time.

How about this.
The government needs money and the fed printed to much already.
So the quick fix is this The government takes a loan from the mom and pop banks and every other bank out there. So now the bank has no cash so they can’t give out any more loans,
Sound familiar. Now one day we decide to go to the bank to withdraw and the bank says there’s no more money Here’s an I O U The goverment says we don’t need cash we will make it a cashless society. And each individual will be electronicly connected to all there needs.
They will give you a print out of all you accounts and the deposits, but that will be as close as you will ever see paper dollars again. Now for the people who stuffed there mattreses no problem Just turn in your dollars and the government will give you a print out. But I guess will need some kind of ID no problem A bar code which will identify every person and evry item. Just scan your itemthen scan your id and your transaction will go from vendor of the product to your bank and back to the vendors bank simple no more problems with cash. But I guess they will know everything what you bought what you sold how much it cost and where the electronic money came from. So your boss will deposit your electronic money in your electronic bank for your labor. And guess what else we will eliminate Income tax preparations. They will already know what you bought and what you earned. Wow nice huh.
Well lets think about it could they stop a transaction if for some reason they wanted to talk to you. Hmm No more graft, bribery, drug money, terrorists how would they buy there plane tickets wow great. 666 the mark of the beast is coming to control all that means control of the planet. IMHO here is the prudent fiscal & monetary scenario, given the current situation:
1. USA creates as much fiat currency as mkts will bear, into the hundreds of $trillions+
2. Soon thereafter, USA Treasury [NOT FRS] backs the dollar with BTUs based upon own USA controlled proprietary, formerly secret, black ops energy technology, i.e, much back engineered from extraterrestrials, & suppressed, e.g., Tesla.
3. Displaced carbon energy industries, incl. carbon source countries, will be subsidized upon a declining-over-time schedule, e.g., 25 yrs, so as to minimize economic & geopolitical impact.
