Why The TSA Will Never Go Away

I’ve mentioned my Google Alert on the TSA several times before; I might more accurately describe it as an Alert on Fascism. Here are 3 stories from this morning’s report; separately and, even more powerfully, together, they illustrate why the TSA will continue to irradiate and sexually assault us until we rise against it. Too much unconscionable scum makes way too much money off our misery and humiliation.

1) The first account announces that Rape-i-scan–sorry, Rapiscan, the oh-so-aptly-named manufacturer of the porno-scanner, will remove its gizmos from airports to other bureaucracies (yep, spread that cancer around). This shuffle supposedly arises from the fact that Rapiscan couldn’t quickly retrofit its contraptions with “privacy software.” Meanwhile, the Feds, with a virtual monopoly on lying, deception, and fraud, also allege those same crimes against Rapiscan. Whatever. After denuding us to benefit the TSA’s Peeping Toms lo these many years, Rapiscan shamelessly brags, “We have had a close working relationship with TSA and its predecessor agencies for the better part of two decades, during which time we have together pioneered many of the transportation security technologies in use today.”

2) We come next to a press release with the headline, “U.S. Transportation Security Administration [sic for 'Thieves and Sexual Assailants'] Selects Nuix for Big Data Investigation on Multiple Terabytes Per Day.” Hmmm. Who knew terrists were biting now? Like Rapiscan, Nuix boasts about its extensive cooperation with Our Rulers as they rob us of our freedom and wealth (“TSA joins a growing list of government agencies that rely on Nuix … including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of State”). It also and unforgivably repeats the TSA’s self-promoting propaganda (“The Transportation Security Administration [TSA] was created in the wake of 9/11 to strengthen the security of the nation’s transportation systems while ensuring the freedom of movement for people and commerce.” Wrong, you mealy-mouthed wusses. It was created to accelerate installation of the police-state.)

3) Finally, Implant Sciences giddily celebrates because its “shares … jumped for the second day in a row Thursday, a day after Implant Sciences Corp. announced that it won approval from the U.S. Transportation Security Administration for its explosives-detection product. Shares … were … up 16 cents, as of about noontime … They moved up 25 cents [the day before] to close at $1.35. … Industry experts and company officials have said this action could lead to big revenue gains.” Not to mention big liberty losses.

What price freedom?
