Mobile phones should carry a health warning like those on cigarette packets, scientists have warned.
The authorities must not make the same mistakes over possible links between mobile phones and brain cancer as they did with cigarettes and lung cancer, experts warned a powerful U.S. congressional committee.
It took 50 years to get the tobacco industry to acknowledge the risks, and 70 years to remove lead from paint and petrol, they said.
‘Society must not repeat the situation we had with smoking and lung cancer, where we waited until every ‘i’ was dotted and ‘t’ was crossed before warnings were issued,’ said Professor David Carpenter, director of the institute of health and environment at the University of Albany.

‘Precaution is warranted even in the absence of absolutely final evidence concerning the magnitude of the risk – especially for children.’
Dr Ronald Herberman, director of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute – one of the top U.S. cancer research centres – agreed and said: ‘We must learn from our past to do a better job of interpreting evidence of potential risk.’

I could go along with this cell phone idea, so long as every piece of red meat, every hamburger, every sausage also has a cancer health warning sticker on them. Let’s get real here. The biggest cause of cancer to humans is coming from what they put in their mouths. Dead, decaying, rotting animals.

Cell Phones and Harmful Radiation
Very vague article with no evidence provided to support it, waste of time reading.
In fact the journal of the National Cancer Institute published results of a massive stdy in Denmark which followed the cancer histories of 420 thousand cell phone users over thirteen years. The study concluded risk for the cancers did not vary by duration of cellular telephone use, age, or type of cellular telephone anologue or digital. The conclusion was no increased risk of use of the phones with any cancers.
The fact is cellular phones do not produce ionizing radiation so has no potential to damage living cells or break any chemical bonds.
But hey be a nice story to scare people into buying additional phone accessories and all he other life saving additions.

I never had a cell phone, and don’t want one. I’ll wait a few more years and see if people start dropping from them. But I have no need for one anyway. The land line I have pisses me off enough the way it is.

yes! they should, my husband almost died from a brain tumor caused by cell phone useage, personally we dont use one anymore nor ever will!!! they are killin us folks!! wake up!!!!

Maybe if you did a little of your own research, then you would find out just what a cellphones radiation does to your brain.
Consider the following: If you take an uncooked chicken egg and put it between two cellphones and have the phones call each other, then after a few hours THE EGGS WILL BE COMPLETELY COOKED! Now I wonder why that is…and maybe it just happens to do the EXACT SAME THING TO THE HUMAN BRAIN!!!
