Now that Barack Obama has become the 44th President of the United States we offer a challenge – will those who elected him be able to progress past their fawning idolatry and actually pressure Obama to deliver on his mandate of “change,” or will the architecture of the Bush police state remain in place while the American empire expands?
Obama’s acceptance speech assertion that “change has come to America” is likely to signal the beginning and end of the “change” that millions of Americans naively thought they were voting for.
That’s it folks, the puppet has been rotated. Sorry to be so cynical, but the “change” you thought you were electing is already over and done with. The color of his skin matters about as much as whether he has an R or a D next to his name. The egregious spending will continue, government will balloon in size, American soldiers will be used as cannon fodder for more interventionist wars of the military-industrial complex, U.S. citizens will continue to have their phone calls tapped and their rights curtailed, and the Federal Reserve will continue to rule the financial system with an iron fist while the middle class is squeezed out of existence.
How can Obama claim that “change has come to America” when he hasn’t even set foot in the White House? What specifically has Obama promised to change beside his plan to redecorate the White House?
It seems that a lot of the truthers and activists, as well as the liberal left, seem to have forgotten that the responsibility to “change” America rests with the American people. As Gandhi said, we have to be the change we want to see in the world.
Obama is no messiah, he is a representative, a public servant, for those that elected him into office. Will those that voted for him in the name of changing eight years of Bush administration malfeasance hold his feet to the fire and demand the repeal of the American police state that Bush has crafted, or will they simply go back to sleep and consider their work done simply because another Democrat is in office?
The majority of liberals gleefully supported or simply ignored the bombing of Serbia and the genocidal sanctions against Iraq because of the cult of personality built up around Bill Clinton. Will Obama be another ideologue for the left to associate their power with or will they actually demand that he restore America to the Constitution? Will the left ninny and obsess about non-issues like gay marriage and welfare programs while allowing the Bush police state to remain in place?
Remember, the Democrats were handed the Congress and the Senate in 2006 with a mandate for change. What has changed since that time? Nothing whatsoever. American troops are still in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Patriot Act is still in place, phone calls are still being tapped and war criminals who committed impeachable offences still go free.

But in an attempt to avoid being labeled “right-wing racists” and all manner of spurious labels now being carelessly heaped upon anyone who doesn’t follow the herd and bow down at the feet of Lord Obama, we’re going to remain constructive and set Obama, and by extension those that voted for him, some challenges to bring real “change” to America and restore the country to the Constitution and the ideals of the Founders that Obama mentioned in his speech last night.
Let’s be generous and give Obama the whole four years of his initial term to make significant progress on the following issues. Here are some questions about “change” that we are going to be keeping track of until 2012.
- Will Obama repeal Patriot Acts I and II as well as reversing Bush’s signing statement and acknowledging the repeal of the John Warner Defense Authorization Act?
- Will Obama support Dennis Kucinich’s efforts to bring war crimes charges against Bush, Cheney and others for deceiving the country into a war or will he protect them against such charges like Nancy Pelosi has done?
- Will Obama bring war crimes charges against Bush, Cheney and others for authorizing torture and will the torture of suspects under U.S. detention, a complete violation of both the Constitution and the Geneva Conventions, cease under an Obama administration?
- Will Obama withdraw American troops from Iraq and Afghanistan without sending them away again to bomb another broken-backed third world country in the name of a UN-supported “humanitarian” war?
- Will Obama end the warrantless secret surveillance and phone-taps of American citizens?
- Will Obama follow through on his rhetorical support for the second amendment or will he seek to ban guns as he did in Illinois?
- Will Obama cease his support for the Bush-administration backed banker bailouts, hated by the majority of Americans, and target the real cause of the problem – the Federal Reserve – or will he continue to give taxpayers’ money to banks who are merely hoarding it all for themselves?
- Will Obama seek to continue the militarization of America and preparations for martial law through Northcom and the secret government or will he dismantle the police state that has been constructed over the last eight years by the Bush administration?
There can be no excuses – either Obama will be proven to be a liar or he will, backed by Democratic control of Congress and the Senate, follow through on his mandate for “change”.
People like Congressman Ron Paul are too long in the tooth and have watched too many political campaigns to glibly jump on the bandwagon of political platitudes.
Those caught up in Obama fever who would have otherwise voted for Ron Paul should heed the warnings of Dr. No.
As the coming of the new messiah drew closer, Paul had some sobering reminders for a CNN audience last night, pointing out that Obama will not cut spending, government will get bigger and more intrusive, foreign policy will remain the same and unpopular financial bailouts will continue.
We hope we are wrong, but forgive us for our cynicism, because whatever has emerged from the two-party monopoly in the past has always proven to be the problem – not the solution.

Democrats have a manda, the House and the Senate are filibuster-proof , meaning that the Democrats we voted for two years ago, as well as the ones we elected yesterday, as well as President Obama , are obligated to stop the wars against Iraq and Afghanistan, provide the single payer health plan , and give major tax breaks to the middle and lower classes , starting with a big stimulus check in January.

The main thing to be seen: will Obama stand up against our illuminati and say enough? And if he did, could he be protected? A lot of people voted for Obama with the hope that he has suckered this nefarious bunch and will do the right thing after elected. The previous bunch had the main intention of digging us into such a big whole that it would be un fixable. Another question is, even if Obama has good intention’s will it be possible to reverse the nose dive we are in?

Should Obama be naive enough to believe his own rhetoric and actually ATTEMPT to change anything of significance in the public’s favor, he will likely find meet the same fate as the other president he is so fond of comparing himself to– JFK. After 40 years, it appears the single best theory for JFK’s asassination was his attempt to wrest control from the Federal Reserve by creating silver-backed currency. Six months after he began that highly-sucessful program, he was dead, and the program halted. The Treasury immediately stopped printing silver certificate dollars, dropped silver content in coins to 40% (hypocritically minting Kennedy half dollars) and then to worthless copper alloy.

While we certainly shouldn’t be naive about our situation, and it is very dire indeed, I am less critical of Obama at this point because simply no one knows yet what kind of President he will be. If you can predict the future, we’ll then you’re in the wrong business.
I did not vote for him, and disagree with him on many issues BUT I don’t believe in judging people on what you think they will do. It’s just plain wrong. He associates with questionable figures, and I’m no fan of VP Biden and his Foreign Policy rhetoric, and his recent voting record is poor.
But he is in a position where the American people have established a mandate for change , and he will need to make changes — positive changes that people agree with — in order to maintain popular support.
So, it is ultimately up to us — he has a clear mandate from us the people and now it is OUR RESPONSIBILITY to make sure this country gets back on track. The list in this article is a good start and should be stressed by all of us who are awake and actively involved. You can’t write the future as a given — momentum for change is in our favor. Let’s make sure positive things happen.

I mean, Obama will be the 44th president. Now if you do some simple maths such as 33 (highest freemason degree if I’m not wrong) + 11 (their favorite number, which represents evil, unpure, wickedness) you get = 44
By adding 11 + 11 = 22 , 22 + 11 = 33 , 33 + 11 = 44 , 44 + 11 = 55, etc…
It’s just amazing in a way, numerology is so important and these guys are not dumb… I can expect something to happen on the 11th of this month after all it will be 11/11/08.

I can’t believe how the public rallies around these men like they are the saviors of the universe. I see people out evangelizing ,cold calling, knocking on doors, buying t-shirts and bumper stickers, calling radio and television shows, getting in fights and even faking assaults and cutting their own faces up. What is going on with these people? Now all over the media they are saying things like “America has responded to his call for change” and the US has chosen change, like the people really ever had a choice in the first place. The electoral process is so unfair it’s hard to understand how more people don’t recognize it. Personally I think if a supposed free country is going to have elections there should be more than two candidates being offered or promoted. They scientifically and systematically steered and eliminated all of the people they did not want to be president and left the people with two choices. I guess the desire to feel like you are a part of something big can blind people from the truth and affect their critical thinking process. I am glad the distraction is over, Now what have we been missing in the rest of the world?

Look – that last response was facetious of me. I like Ron Paul but we all knew he was never going to be elected. I don’t buy the official 9-11 account on any level, and am definitely a truth advocate, but the truth movement has missed the point somewhat re. Obama. Of course he is a shill for the elites. Who else gets elected in Amerika anymore? That isn’t going to change anytime soon. But the point is you shouldn’t be rejoicing because of who you just elected, you should be rejoicing because of who just got the message to get the f**k out of dodge – i.e. a good portion of the warmongering, split-loyalty, ziono-messianic, war-for-war’s sake, Neocon scum!
Of course that’s not to say Barky won’t be surrounded by his own Dr Strangeloves in Brzinski & Soros & etal & etal. But at least you got to kick one lot of scum for one day – think of the pleasure in that! In four years time you can rejoice in kicking another lot of scum. And it IS vital that you regularly switch ruling factions. What message would the elite get if the only punishment metered out to the Party that brought Amerika the Patriot Act, the subversion of the constitution, the stealing of two elections, the abandonment of the Geneva convention and the torture of prisoners etc etc, was another 4 years in power?
The unavoidable message would be that the Will of the American people is entirely demolished, that the worse you are treated, cowed & kicked by your master’s, then the more obedient you will become.
What level of respect could the rest of the world have for a country that retreated back into the arms of the Party that had subverted the American ideal so? Purely from the standpoint of self-respect & international respect, the Republicans & NeoCons HAD to be shown the door.
That’s the best you get in modern Western Hegeliocracy’s. You have two mercantilist factions to choose from both backed by the same elites. The best you can do is try to split power between the parties at the various levels of govt. and rotate the dominant party regularly. That way you keep them wrangling for the scraps that fall from the elite’s table, and hopefully slow or impede somewhat their institution of the elite’s plans. Of course they both do the elite’s bidding like obedient doggies, but hopefully sometimes they can be goaded into fighting each other for the same bone long enough to give the rest of us a break.
It is no different here in Australia. We don’t even get the choice of whether we vote or not – it is COMPULSORY, and punishable by fines & suspended driver’s licenses if you refuse! There is an old saying here that I’ll paraphrase; …we all know all politicians are scum but on voting day the true pleasure comes not from who you put first on your ballot, but in who you put LAST (or don’t put as the case may be). I always like to utter a quiet expletive under my breath as I number the politico I currently hate most last (& this gives me a mild satisfaction) lol.

Just to add,there was an interview with a member of the american public on the Obama
victory and the woman interviewed was estatic that a black man was now in charge.When
the reporter asked the 8/9 year old daughter what she thought,she replied “boring.”

free people would view the result.It shows how obsessed we still are by our own race.The

The wing nuts would love to have you believe nothing has changed. A country divided is easily controlled. Here are some observations from a brief stint on the inside of a tiny rural Obama office phone bank.(really, a bunch of neighbors on chairs and couches with cell phones) There was a general focus, but no dictated form of script. If we ran into hate,lies, bigotry and even threats from people on the phones or out on doorsteps, it was almost a mantra to send them love and move on. The sense was that they were building individual participatory democracy from the ground up and this was coming from the top down. It was being done on millions of tiny donations so no one person or entity could walk in and ask for a favor later and every $5 was appreciated. Obama himself did a conference call to this tiny office to thank them one evening. There was a sense that the ultimate responsibility for fixing this mess was going to be with we the people, not some daddy figure “decider” in Washington. There was a sense of party afterwards, but it was also sobering because all of us who had even a small touch with this movement realize that we all need to grow up and take responsibility for this country as a whole, not every man for himself. You may sit on a pile of beans and rice and a bunch of guns and think you can tough it out in a dog eat dog Mad Max world. And, believe some fictional series that says you will be whisked up to heaven in Rapture. “This car will be unmanned”. That idea goes way back as a form of control. An old middle eastern group called the “Assassins” used that back in time to prep young male suicide killers. They even had a phony “heaven” they took drugged guys to for persuasion. They actually got the idea from the Vikings. Vikings told people if they died in battle they got to go straight to Heaven and play with the gods. All garbage. Too much time is being wasted here figuring out what Obama will do. Obama won’t be Bush III. He will be worse with some things and better with some things. The big problem with this election is that it was a repudiation of the Libertarian view of the world. While the media focused on race the electoral board looked similar to 2004 with the exception of age. The young people that turned out for Obama grew up in an era of no real privacy and expect to be hugged and babysat. When you’re in a red state, you don’t have much of a choice but to vote democratic ticket, even though, you know you are up against great power and you will lose. So the effect takes place, similar to what Alex Jones was describing. Except, what takes place, is Democrats giving The GOP a run for their money and two forces going up against each other, which can cause, a collapse of both parties, even though The GOP wins by 4%, like here in KY. So it becomes nothing more than a protest vote when in a Red State. A protest vote that grinds against the othter power. Even though both parties have done such a poor job. At least it’s a real disent of force, where as, just voting 3rd Party, gives it to The GOP! Having worked and travelled extensivly in the US, I had the pleasure to meet hundreds of ordinary Americans. To add weight to this , I will never forget the generousity of American soldiers , stationed in Schweinfurt/Germany when I was a young kid. Hard-working Americans carry their heart on their sleeve, unfortunatly naivity is also part of the American character.
Having said above , I agree with Mr. Watsons article. As much as I wish your new President would make a diffrence and restore the American dream to ordinary hard working Americans-it will not happen…Your new President is simply a puppet , and if by chance he selects to really care for JOE AVERAGE , he will be eliminated, just as Kennedy was.

This party has just as much contempt for America’s veterans, disabled or not, as the last institutions ( parties )! I see America’s veterans getting pushed even further away from any political discourse, and their rights subjugated to mere ‘privileges’. I’m not too happy that one of our ‘veteran-advocates?’ in office was just voted out!
