A janitor who worked in one of the World Trade Center towers and helped save lives on 9/11, in addition to witnessing what he described as “explosions” in the tower basement, has committed suicide.
The New York Daily News reported yesterday that Kenny Johannemann shot himself in the head last Sunday, August 31, 2008.
Mr Johannemann’s suicide note stated that he was taking his own life as he was being evicted and could not handle homelessness. The note also stated that since 9/11 he had become depressed and had been drinking.
Here is the entire text of the note, a picture of which can be found here, as reported in the Daily News:
“The reason I killed myself was ’cause I was getting evicted and can’t handle homelessness. I was also very depressed since I was in 9/11. I’ve been drinking way too much and it’s ruined my life. I’ve lost friends and family over drinking and I’m very lonely. There is nothing left for me to be happy about other than my cat. Sounds weird, but it’s true. I just wanted to say I’m sorry 2 any people I ever hurt in my life. I really was a good person when I wasn’t drinking. I hope people remember that.

According to the Daily News report, relatives found another letter next to his suicide note. The second letter (right), dated October 31 2001 and type written on White House stationery featuring the president’s signature, was an acknowledgement of Johannemann’s bravery on 9/11.

Don’t you think if you were going to kill yourself and write a letter, you would say goodbyes to your friends, cousins, mother, father, brothers and sisters if you have them? You would put a lot more into it, not just I was drinking, ect. Who would sign their last name when everyone who would find him would know it was him? Wouldn’t you write what you wanted done with your body? Tell people you love them? This looks like a forced written letter so he would then be killed by the CIA.

Why would he say, “The reason I killed myself” instead of “The reason I’m killing myself” because that is how you would talk. You wouldn’t write in the past tense when you haven’t done it yet. Something is definately fishy.

lol. The goverment always makes it seem like you killed yourself. Always ends up in some suicide or car accident, or random act of violence, or plane crash…etc, etc.
Plus, they have been known cases of people who have had some knowledge of 9-11 and who have worked, of being harassed by anonymous phone calls, have they credit scores raised, loosing jobs for some unexplained reason or suddenly threatened to be evicted. I think this is one of them, and if he did kill himself, he probably couldn’t handle the stress of people out to get him rather than… oh, i just drink too much.

This one seems like an actual suicide to me. (Unless there’s more to the story.) I’m not sure why anyone would have murdered him. He wasn’t actively trying to tell his story or testifying in court was he? We’ll have to wait and see what else comes out.

I feel terrible for what he must have suffered emotionally and spiritually before having taken his life, if that is in fact how is life ended. I wonder if his drinking had anything to do with the eviction. I wonder, too, if the manager or owner of the apartment/house that he was living in tried to help him obtain treatment, counseling, any kind of professional help. It is an all around sorrowful occurrance and my heart goes out to his family. I do know that when families have an alcoholic in the family that the non-alcoholics tend to despise that person. It is a shame that detoxifying from alcohol addiction is so expensive. Maybe, he could have afforded to spend two weeks or more at a facility if the costs were more reasonable than they are presently. I have only known rich alcoholics to get the care they needed to quit alcohol without a lifetime of AA meetings.

Seems to me if Mr Johannemann had a real drinking problem, and he was so broke that he was being evicted, he would have sold his gun in order to buy more alcohol or pay rent. In NYC it cost $340 for a handgun license plus another $100 for the fingerprinting. Logically, that makes the street value of a handgun at least $440.

His note sounds just like somebone’s essay, or like the phone calls made from the “hijacked” planes on 911. “Hi, mom, it’s Mike Johnson”.
The note gives it away, it’s too cool and composed, giving us all the facts and reasons. This was not a suicide. No doubt about that.

The paraphrasing in the first section sounds so generic and from a bad scriptwriter you cannot know how much of that actually affected him. Next thing we know they find his fingerprints on the gun’s barrel but not on the grip.
Anyway, I personally don’t know for what reasons he could be worth killing for, but the letter could be forged.

I think it’s very unusual that he wrote the entire letter in the past tense. If you were going to write a suicide note you might start to write it in the past tense thinking I’ll be gone when this is read but I think halfway through it you’d forget that premise and start to write in the present tense. “I am a good person when I’m not drinking”. Sorry he’s gone. The horrors of 911 just keep on going.

Now regarding that phony suicide letter, the more I look at it the more OBVIOUS IT IS that it’s a TRICK.
Notice how it’s crafted in such a way so that it doesn’t mention anything about the bombs that went off during 9/11. It sounds like KKKarl Rove wrote it up to make the reublicans look good.
So why did they kill him now and not several years ago? I can’t believe this beautiful man killed himself. I con’t understand why no one in hes family could not help him. I have a loved one that has been through depression many times and I can’t even go out sometimes, let alone let them live alone. I don’t know; I really can’t understand “families” sometimes. This is such a shame. As horrible as this was, I hope there was nothing fishy going on.

Anyone who thinks that the conditions that he describes are not “upsetting” enough to kill oneself over, has not lived them. I have heard more than one severly depressed people say just that…their pet/cat is the only thing that keeps them going. The dark forces are perfectly capable of arkanciding people–you don’t need to convince me that they are. But in this case, I believe that the poor man took his own life in despair. Sometimes it’s a lot easier to blame everyone else rather than admit the OBVIOUS crimes of the government.
In the case of Kenny, I wasn’t there and can’t be sure, but it seems far more reasonable ot think the new world government murdered him then set it up to look like a suicide. That seems to make far more sense and is more logical tham Kenny taking his own life.
Anything is possible, however we already know that the governemts fairy tale aout Bin Laden’s jets taking down the towers is IMPOSSIBLES, AS THAT DEFIES THE LAWS OF PHYSICS, SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS.

I feel sorry for the guy. I hope he wasn’t whacked. But then again, If he really did kill himself, it’s just sad. At least his life had some meaning, seeing as how he spoke out about the truth of 911. Janitorial work is also a noble profession.
