Extreme weather conditions could benefit companies like Apple by boosting its sales as the threat of the effects of global warming become more apparent.
Apple will be able to cash in because devices like the iPhone and iWatch could be useful during a natural disaster, the firm believes.
Google’s parent company Alphabet also touted benefits of climate change because of the Google Earth to ‘examine physical changes to natural resources and climate’.
Both companies thoughts on climate change were published by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), a British non-profit organisation.
The CDP says its aim is to drive disclosure, insight and action towards a sustainable economy and report on environmental risk management for major corporations.
Apple details that people’s concerns about preparations for severe weather events could make its products more appealing.
