Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon told Sean Hannity Monday that the “elites” as represented by Mitch McConnell allowed “economic hate crimes” to be committed “against the working men and women in the heartland of this country.”

“The elites, represented by Mitch McConnell, right, they think I’m a bad guy. They think I’m a dangerous guy,” Bannon said.

“I wear their contempt is a badge of honor. Okay? They have helped destroy this country. They have done nothing but allow economic hate crimes against the working men and women in the heartland of this country,” he said.

“The factories went to China and the drugs came in,” Bannon said.

Bannon also weighed in on the Alabama Senate race between conservative Roy Moore and establishment-backed lobbyist Luther Strange.

He said a “real review has to be done of how President Trump got the wrong information and came down on the wrong side of the football” by endorsing Strange.

Asked about the NFL protests, Bannon said: “If people take a knee, and the National Football League players want to take a knee, they should take a knee at night, every night and thank God in heaven Donald J. Trump is president of the United States.”
