Legendary sex symbol Brigitte Bardot, 83, is no fan of the #MeToo movement sweeping Hollywood and remembers back to a time when flirting was taken as compliment and not sexual assault.
In Bardot’s assessment, the movement is out of control and believes a lot of actresses are looking for publicity.
“The vast majority are being hypocritical and ridiculous,” the actress said in a French magazine. “Lots of actresses try to play the tease with producers to get a role. And then, so we will talk about them, they say they were harassed.”
In her time in the spotlight, Bardot said she welcomed the attention:
“I was never the victim of sexual harassment. And I found it charming when men told me that I was beautiful or I had a nice little backside.”
The overblown #MeToo movement is starting to implode with women jumping on the bandwagon for simply being looked at in a way that made them feel uncomfortable. It’s also backfiring for feminists by making women look weak and incapable of saying “no.” But worst of all, it belittles the true victims of sexual abuse, like the young Olympic gymnasts molested for years by their team doctor. Can we just all agree that “nice boobs” isn’t the same as pedophilia this once? Maybe?
