According to climate alarmists, Earth is on the verge of becoming a hellish aquatic wasteland of Kevin Costner proportions.

That was a reference to a film called Waterworldfrom the mid-1990s for those of you too young to remember. Anyways, the water in the world is gonna swallow up the land, causing all sorts of problems. Keep in mind, all of this is if you aren’t barbecued alive or eaten by a disgruntled polar bear first.

According to this climate scientist though, most of these doomsday projections are overblown at best.

When it comes to alarming projections of global warming-induced sea level rise, veteran climate scientist Judith Curry says people need to cool it.

“Projections of extreme, alarming impacts are very weakly justified to borderline impossible,” Curry told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Curry’s latest research, put together for clients of her consulting company near the end of November, looks in detail at projections of sea level rise. Curry’s ultimate conclusion: “Some of the worst-case scenarios strain credulity.”

“With regards to 21st century climate projections, we are dealing with deep uncertainty, and we should not be basing our policies based on the assumption that the climate will actually evolve as per predicted,” Curry told TheDCNF.

Well, that’s a bummer. What am I gonna do now with the jet-ski and houseboat I just bought?

It’s funny how climate alarmists are so quick to jump on these predictions. It seems like weathermen can’t even accurately predict the weather 12 hours from now. Therefore, why should we believe they know for certain how high the water levels will be in another century. Besides, we’ve already seen climate whack-jobs’ projections fail to play out.

I can’t say for sure where the sea levels will be in 2,100. In fact, nobody can. Unless of course they opted for the flux capacitor package when they bought their DeLorean. There are all sorts of variables which go into forcing a change on the climate. Therefore thinking people can predict the weather a hundred years from now is silly people stuff.
