Hillary Clinton has mastered the art of capitalizing on other people’s achievements and popular social trends in an attempt to keep herself relevant.

On Tuesday, she was glomming on to Wonder Woman.

In a “surprise video” Wednesday in honor of Elizabeth Banks – a Clinton backer, activist and producer – that was shown at the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards in Beverly Hills, Clinton spent much of her 95-second message likening herself to the woman superhero taking the box office by storm, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Clinton thanked Women in Film for supporting women in the industry, then quickly shifted the focus to herself.

“Now I haven’t seen Wonder Woman yet, but I’m going to, in part because it’s directed by the fabulous Patty Jenkins,” Clinton said. “But something tells me that a movie about a strong, powerful woman fighting to save the world from a massive international disaster is right up my alley.”

Eventually, she got around to Banks.

“She is such a special person, again, on screen and off,” Clinton said. “You’re not only a creative force in front of the camera and behind it, you are a passionate advocate for women’s equality and opportunity; I can vouch for that.”

And by “passionate advocate,” Clinton means she’s was a big supporter of her campaign.

Banks appeared on stage at the Democratic National Convention last summer as Queen’s “We Are The Champions” blared over the sound system, then mocked Donald Trump and Republicans for about two minutes.

Banks also talked about how Clinton “rocked my world” at a Bill Clinton rally when she was in college, and spent the rest of her roughly six-minute speech heaping praise on the 69-year-old failed presidential candidate.

“A smart, committed, successful woman,” Banks said, “and not for her own benefit, but a fighter for women and children, cops and first responders, healthcare and girls around the world, that’s Hillary Clinton.”

Clinton’s “surprise video” honoring banks was equally fulsome.

“I’m so grateful for your support and friendship and your sense of humor,” Clinton gushed. “I can’t think of a more fitting person to receive this distinguished award.”

Banks thanked the audience for the award, and spoke about how her feminist focus jibes with raising her two sons.

“I am so proud that I get to raise my two boys to love women. I get to present an example of them of a working mom who loves what she does,” she said, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “We are creating culture. We are sending messages out to the world and those messages matter. Co-opting men and boys into that process is the only way that progress is going to happen.”
