Judge Judy Sheindlin is the no-nonsense television judge who tells it like it is to those plaintiffs and defendants who stand in her courtroom. That’s not just an on-camera persona; she keeps that up off-camera, too.

In a recent interview with Harvey Levin, the founder of gossip site TMZ, for Fox News’ Objectified, the famous TV judge talked about her self-made career in which she doesn’t allow any credit to go to feminism.

“Are you a feminist?” asked Levin.

“I don’t think so,” Sheindlin said twice.

She talked about how she always wanted to be a good wife and mother but also work outside of the home. And in that spirit that she said came from her father, she turned her life’s goal into a success story.

“I knew that if I worked hard I could have both — I could have a family, because that was important to me — and I could have a career,” Sheindlin said.

No matter how many times Levin tried to bait her with a point about feminism — and he did in the entire clip above — Judge Judy turned it on its head.

“I don’t think in terms of sex,” she said, ignoring all the hype about gender equality peddled these days.

Levin noted how Sheindlin was the only woman in her law school class. He asked how they treated her. “Fine,” she responded matter-of-factly. He really wanted to know that she had felt “pressure” to be a housewife, but the judge wouldn’t budge.

“I never had an issue with gender,” Sheindlin added.

Sheindlin explained to Levin that there is actually a difference between men and women, where one is a “warrior” and the other a “nurturer.” Without succumbing to feminism, Sheindlin happily fixed meals for her family and made it to work on time and without complaint.

“You would never do that today,” Levin insisted.

“You still do that today,” the judge shot back. “It’s innate.”

“Is it?” Levin asked incredulously.

“Yes,” Sheindlin concluded… at least for women like her.
