Twitter founder and CEO Jack Dorsey acknowledged the micro-blogging platform isn’t always used for good.
In a wide-ranging interview with Rolling Stone, the tech mogul talked about the evolution of the site he helped create and how it has received criticism for facilitating divisiveness, abuse and hate between users.
Dorsey also addressed how more and more users are becoming addicted to the platform, including himself, in some cases.
Since Dorsey co-founded the site in 2006, Twitter has amassed hundreds of millions of users around the globe that login to the app several times a day.
Dorsey said he originally conceived of Twitter as a way for everyone to have a voice.
But in the years since its humble beginnings, Twitter has in some ways become a place for hateful rhetoric, with users more divided than ever.
